Top Antequera Half-day Tours

Excellent trip. The meeting point was the bus stop next to the Civil Guard building at Plaza Castillo and our guide, Justine, pulled up in a mini bus around 10 minutes before the meeting time. You need to be on time or message the company to let them know if you are running a couple of minutes late as they set off bang on time. Justine was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and interesting and pointed out several fossils at El Torcal which I'm sure we'd have missed if we'd been on our own. We got some amazing photos of the Dolmens and El Torcal and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. A bit thank you to Justine.

The experience has been wonderful. The guide, Natacha, is very good and makes it so that, with the passion and knowledge she conveys, one feels transported back in time. A highly recommended experience that we will undoubtedly repeat.

El Torcal is beautiful, especially this May during wildflower season, and Justine is an amazing guide. She led us away from where most tourists go, and provided just the right combination of information, direction and quiet time to enjoy the surroundings. She was equally adept at leading both children and adults.

Natasha is an excellent guide. Her extensive geological knowledge is complemented by humor and accessible explanations. I was also impressed by her love for El Torcal and her love for the environment. El Torcal is a place that is difficult to explore independently, so a guide is essential. It's truly a fantastic place, exceeding expectations. Be sure to visit.

We spent an amazing week in Antequera, all organised by Hennie and Andy at The Mission Adventure Holidays and Tours. They organised everything immaculately from airport transfers and accommodation to local tours and activities. We are a family of four of all ages and they cleverly found something of interest for everyone. We saw so much in a week but also had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the wonderful local bars and restaurants and explore the pretty town. We visited the fascinating Prehistoric Dolmens, where Andy’s insight and enthusiasm made it so interesting. We hiked the stunning Torcal National Park and did lots of nature and birdwatching trails around Antequera. Hennie has particular interest and knowledge of the local flora and fauna and we were lucky enough to see so much bird life including the famous storks and flamingos, beautiful orchids and we even picked wild garlic and asparagus. I can’t recommend using The Mission Adventure Holidays and Tours enough, their attention to detail, seamless organisation and first class activities and tours are unmatched. We can’t wait to return next year!

Good place, lots to see, the Dolmens were interesting, Lobo Park was brilliant, well worth a visit. Some good restaurants around too.

It was a very nice and interesting program. We learned new things about the dolmens. El Torcal was very beautiful with its incredible formations. This part of the program could have been a little longer, with more hiking trails.

Don't hesitate in booking this trip, a fascinating walk through incredible limestone scenery. We have spent many days walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales limestone landscape but El Torcal blew us away. It's a difficult place to get to without your own transport so spend the money and benefit from the extensive knowledge of a first class guide. You won't regret it

Very much enjoyed our days tour of Antequera with The Mission guides. The Dolmans are an incredible feat of historical engineering & Andy was very informative on the theories of its existence & construction. (A must see) next was Torcal with an amazing 1 hour hike with Henni who explained the tectonic events that had occurred to create this unique landscape & views (can not be missed). Lastly we arrived at the vineyard (Gross Herman's) we paid extra for the dinner instead of the tapas & it was worth every dime. The most delicious food ( 4 courses ) with an exceptional selection of complimentary wines. We purchased a number of the wines in order to introduce to our friends & at cost price you can not get a better deal for such excellent wine. With the tour of the vineyard & it's production rooms by Xavier it made for the hi light of our day. Andy Hennie & Xavier have very sincere passion for their given subjects & I can not recommend this tour more highly. We shall be returning. Many thanks The Mission tours The Scot family ( USA)

We learned a lot from this tour, things we would never have found ourselves. The nice lady gave clear explanations and showed beautiful fossils in the rock in el Torcal. At the Dolmens I also got a nice explanation about the different architectural styles and location of the entrances. Was a top experience!!

We had a fantastic day with our private guide, Natacha! She picked us up right from our accommodation in Ronda, making everything easy and stress-free from the start.The walk through El Torcal was absolutely stunning, and Natacha shared so much interesting insight along the way. We then explored Antequera, full of charm and history, before finishing with a visit to the incredible dolmens. Dating from around 5000–2200 BCE, these prehistoric monuments are truly remarkable, the most famous being the Antequera Dolmens Site, and Natacha brought their history to life in such an engaging way.Natacha was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. Booked direct with Visita Antequera. Picked up slightly ahead of our 8.50am meet time by our guide Natasha. There were six of us plus Natasha in a comfortable mini-bus. We were pretty much the first to arrive at the Dolmens and had a very interesting visit to all three dolmens even though Menga is currently shut for restoration work. Natasha said that work started last week and could not say when it would re-open. We then went to El Torcal for a fascinating visit. We were lucky with the weather. Throughout our trip Natasha was a delightful fount of knowledge. This trip is an absolute must if you do not have a hire car and are in the area.
