This experience is spectacular. More than five stars - billions!! Location is perfect; Luca even more so. He imparts his extensive knowledge and thoughts in a wonderfully warm way. Luca is a great communicator and lovely storyteller. I and my eight-year-old mokopuna really enjoyed our tour among the stars.

Magical night under the stars
I went with my friends and we had a fantastic time! We visited during the new moon, so we were treated to an incredibly clear night sky, making the whole experience even more magical.Luca is such a friendly host, and his passion and knowledge really shone through. The experience was engaging, informative, and easy to follow, even for those of us with very little prior knowledge of astronomy.I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable evening under New Zealand's beautiful night sky!

A fantastic school trip
Marie guided our Year 13 History class for a half-day tour around Akaroa, covering six sites of significance for the settlement, conflict, contact and colonisation of the area by Māori, French and British. Her storytelling really brought the history to life, and was thoroughly backed by huge historical knowledge, oral and family traditions, and original research. Her deep personal connection to the area was evident and she related so well to our students, using their interests and questions to tailor the tour as we went around the sites. They loved it and learnt so much. Thoroughly recommended!

“Bringing History to Life: An Outstanding Learning Experience with Marie”
We have been working with Marie for the past four years as part of our NCEA Level 2 programme, and I highly recommend her. She is easy to deal with, well organised, and makes the day highly enjoyable for both students and staff — it is a highlight of the course for both my students and me. She builds great rapport with students and keeps them interested throughout, and they consistently learn a great deal from the experience. Many comment on how interesting and inspiring the tour is, thanks to her passion and storytelling.Marie is highly adaptable, tailoring each tour to meet assessment requirements, which adds real value to student learning. Her content is always fresh and engaging, even after multiple years.I would highly recommend Marie not only for senior History programmes but also as a valuable opportunity for junior Social Studies classes or as part of department professional development. We look forward to continuing to work with her in the future.

Outstanding Service and Real Nice Tour
We started off with a mix up between the time and place we should be to begin the tour and the tour left without us. To save our day Kevin from Leisure Tours drove us along the tour route personally and caught us up to the tour bus by lunch in time to join the bus to the antarctic research center. I tried to add pictures but they wouldn't load. We are grateful to Kevin and the culture of excellence in customer service at Leisure Tours.

Family reunion at Matariki
We stayed at Ridgecliff Accrington Farmhouse on Chorlton Road. Our Matariki weekend was a family reunion. There were sixteen of us and we all fitted into the lovely old farmhouse in proper beds it wasn't necessary to sleep the young ones on the furniture or the floor. The Farmhouse catered for babies with a cot and high chair. The garden was large enough for the children to kick a ball. Firewood was provided and we enjoyed sitting around the fire reminiscing about the old days a perfect place with walks and history in the surrounding area. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. We will go back.

Absolutely the best tour we had in New Zealand. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We were taken places the large buses would miss;. All in all a terrific excursion. Well worth it!

Giants House must see
We walked to the meeting spot once off the ship and boarded a small van. The van held about 15 people. We drove up to a spot that overlooked the harbour and the scenery was beautiful. It was a chilly windy day so I was glad I had brought my jacket. Our guide gave good information on the town and surrounding area. But, the highlight was the Giants House. It is a walk up a steep hill to get there and then there are stairs to climb but to us it was worth it. The artist Josie was there giving tours of the house. Her eclectic style was wonderful. There is something there for everyone to fall in love with. Her gardens are amazing and she has done it all. We spent over an hour walking around the gardens and took tons of pictures. You were not allowed to take pictures in the house but could take all you wanted outside. There is a small museum at the back with a video about her and some artwork for purchase. I highly recommend the Giants House if you are going to Akaroa. It was a highlight of our trip.

Beautiful Akaroa Sheep Farm
The drive was gorgeous and not too long or unnecessary. The photo op stops were perfect for pictures to cherish. The sheep farm was impressive as it is owned by one small family (not a large corporation). Watching herding of the sheep (from up close) was amazing and the shearing demonstration was so interesting that I video’ed the entire thing to show my kids and grandkids. Afterwards, a visit to their lovely and charming farmhouse with a snack of tea and homemade pastries in a flower filled garden. I will always remember this excursion (and I have been on many)!
