Top Adelaide Audio Guided Tours

If we could give our tour guide Tim a 10 we would. We have taken many tours around the world and Tim is absolutely the most fantastic tour guide ever. We also want to give a 5 star to Liz at Discover Adelaide Tours for her attention to detail and follow up. They are a great team. The tour was a lot of fun! Victor Harbor is a beautiful peaceful area. The walk and time spent on Granite Island was breathtaking even though it was cold and windy! The tour off the Cube was nothing short of an adventure. The views from the balconies were spectacular. The grounds were filled with interesting sculptures! Tim made sure we stopped at an easy spot for lunch and included a stop at a shop that was packed with delicious fruit snacks covered with chocolate! Every piece of the tour was an adventure that Tim was sure to also include the history of the experience.

Tim is an outstanding tour guide who will share his pride in his city and the sights of Adelaide. Cleland Sanctuary was so much fun. We fed the kangaroos, petted a koala, and chatted with a parrot! The sanctuary is large and provides the animals with plenty of space to roam. Hahndorf is a quaint German village filled with amazing restaurants, bakeries, fudge shops and little shops. We had lunch at Haus, it was delicious, but be careful not to eat too much so you have room to sample cheeses at the cheese factory and enjoy samples of wonderful chocolates and hot chocolate. The morning was very foggy so we skipped Mount Lofty Summit, but tried again in the afternoon and were able to see the beautiful parks and the central business district that made up Adelaide. The day was outstanding because of Tim’s tour skills, knowledge and experience. He is a pro and made the day special. Don’t miss it!

Tim is an exceptional tour guide. He spent the day telling us about the history of Adelaide and all the special parts of the city. Cleland was our fourth sanctuary that we visited in out two weeks stay in Australia and it was by far the best! We enjoyed Hanhdorf was a very quaint town with rich history of German settlers. The town is full of restaurants, shops, fudge shops and delicious bakeries. Don’t miss Haus if you’re there for lunch, but save room for the cheese factory and the chocolate factory where you can taste the best hot chocolate on earth. The sky’s were foggy in the morning, but Tim took us to Mount Lofty Summit in the afternoon so we were sure to see the beauty of Adelaide from the ‘mountain’ top. The day was finished before we knew it but it was a day spent with an outstanding guide who showed us the best that Adelaide had to offer.

We had such an enjoyable day with Liz as our guide journeying out from Adelaide, through the Clare Valley and onto Victor Harbour in an extremely comfortable vehicle. The experience felt more like spending the day with a very knowledgeable friend rather than being on a formal guided tour. If we ever wanted to explore other areas in SA, Liz would definitely be our first choice and as very experienced tourists, we highly recommend Discover Adelaide Tours as a first-choice consideration.

I don't typically do audio tours but really enjoyed walking around Adelaide learning about the queer history. The guide Katrina expressed the information in a really clear way and I appreciated the clear directions as I was moving around the city.

Entertaining and informative. I’ve done a lot of history tours, and this was definitely in the best. Enjoyed the flexibility of the app and being able to dip in and out of the stories.

Safest way to travel these days we thought - no crowds. Tour was easily managed and information gave us all we needed for a basic introduction.

Professional and warm-hearted tour guide. Good combination of destinations. What an experience: Feeding kangaroos and touching koalas. Later several tastings included and recommended. Cheese, wine, and chocolate. The "German" village of Hahndorf ... has, at first glance, little to do with German culture and seems like a parody. But with an open mind, especially in the museum and through the explanations, some traces can be identified.

We had a very enjoyable tour. The weather on the day was very changeable, but this did not deter from the day as Liz was very knowledgeable and helpful to our needs. Time spent at each attraction was excellent as we never felt rushed. Visiting the d'Arenberg Cube should not be missed.

We had a great day out. Roy from CP Tours was a character and the laughs never stopped all day. A definite must do.

We picked up a brochure from an Adelaide Hotel. We liked the look of the variety of things to do on our day trip. We didn't want just a winery. We got lucky, Liz was doing the tour we wanted the next day. There was only 4 others on the mini bus. Liz was excellent. As a local, she knew the old and more current things about the Adelaide Hills. She explained the area well, and obviously loved her area. We didn't feel rushed. We visited "tourist" things, but it was exactly what we wanted.

Very informative and interesting facts, but I would like to have the playback feature, if I missed some information. The walk took longer than 1 1/2 hours and we are reasonably fast walkers, so allow extra time, especially when city is busy.

I had such a lovely small group day tour with Liz to Victor Harbor and d'Arenberg in the very new and comfortable Kia. Great communication from Liz prior to the trip. Coastal scenery with stops along the way. Plenty of time for lunch at Victor Harbor, a walk along the jetty, and shopping. Have recommended Discover Adelaide Tours to my Travel Agent.

Liz was an AMAZING tour guide! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we hoped it would be, and even more! We had booked her small group tour for a Sunday, but decided to move the booking to Monday instead. Doing so, we actually lucked out with a PRIVATE tour just our family of three), as no one else had booked for the day! Liz personalized our tour to ensure we had a fabulous experience at Cleland Wildlife Park feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, petting Edmond the koala, getting some great photos and sharing her expertise on the locale and animals! Liz asked us about the kinds of wine we enjoy, and then took us to a fabulous vineyard where the OWNER gave us a private tasting of her excellent wines! We also enjoyed our walkabout in Hahndorf, where we enjoyed treats at a local bakery and ate a delicious German lunch at a local restaurant. After that, Liz dazzled us with a trip to Melba’s Chocolate Factory where she gave us a tour and a tasting of several of the delicacies they make there! We enjoyed all the information and trivia Liz shared with us, as well as learning the rich history of the areas we went past on our travels. It was a marvelous experience - we highly recommend Liz and Discover Adelaide Tours!!
