Lovely and fascinating tour with fantastic food and drinks. Although we live locally the tour proved both really interesting and introduced us to a number of food and drink makers, vendors and venues we would never have found on our own. Our guide, Heather was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we were really well looked after. I would certainly recommend this particulars tour, and am already figuring out which one we could go on next.

Brilliant! Booked the tour to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary, something different. It certainly was that. Even though we spent the afternoon avoiding the rain, we were treated to an experience. Great food & wine at 4 places we’ve never been to before. Definitely “stuffed” when we finished. Particularly enjoyed the Polish pancakes, the hosts at The Shed were extremely welcoming. The Tanners tour was also a treat. I’d definitely recommend it. Plus I have a garlic intolerance & all the venues accommodated my needs brilliantly. Thanks Brian & thanks for the anniversary card.

I attended the gin tasting session at the Judith site. I was surprised by the welcome drinks on arrival. The whole experience was very informative with a lot of history behind Gin and also the distillery. The 3 samples we were given to try were beautiful and the shop had an amazing selection to purchase. Definitely would recommend to any Gin fans.

Fantastic experience, well laid out room, very knowledgeable guide and some great Rums to taste with lovely mixers. We learnt a great deal from our time there. Would thouraghly recommend it.

What a fantastic experience! Spending time with Fulden is delightful, she is a brilliant teacher, charming and very knowledgeable. The venue is beautiful, warm and welcoming. The Sourdough class was a lot of fun and the bread we made tasted amazingly good. It was such a great afternoon and I learnt so much, I’ve booked up for three more classes!!

My boyfriend and I visited during a long weekend trip to Stratford upon Avon. We’ve always wanted to do a sourdough class and we are SO glad we chose Fulden’s class at the Dough House. Fulden is a phenomenal teacher and such an inspiring woman. It was an honour to meet you and we’ll definitely be back to see you when we are next in the area! The class was so informative; we learnt loads, baked four different loaves to take home and have techniques/skills that we can use in the future. She made the lessons easy to follow but fun and personal! I would recommend these classes at The Dough House to anyone (no matter what level!). It was an amazing day and we’ll definitely be back. This was our first visit to Shrewsbury in three decades. Gareth and Brian gave us a brilliant introduction to the delights of the town: its food, drink and history. The tour lasted a whole afternoon and included four 'refreshment' stops ( two of which had unassuming entrances and could easily have been missed) including Polish dumplings, fine wines and a sweet. We were given insights into Shrewsbury's history and cultural heritage. The tour round Tanner's premises was a real treat. Perhaps the stops were a little out of sync. We had delicious puddings at stop 3 and then tapas at stop 4, but this is a minor quibble. The tour was all we hoped it would be and is thoroughly recommended.,

Would highly recommend this to anyone. It was so much fun, and we already have plans to come back with friends. The guides were really helpful and knowledgeable and the time just flew by. Can't wait to try our rum once it has matured.

Interesting and informative. Sampled a few different rums and mixers over about 45 mins. Easy to get to in central Stratford, be aware that the tasting is on the second floor and involves stairs, but manageable. Good gift for rum enthusiasts, unfortunately, we decided we prefer gin (but that's our personal view!)

Definitely the best workshop I have ever been to! I can’t recommend it enough. Fulden was so friendly and welcomed us in to her beautiful home. I did the bread and pastry workshop and learnt so much, had lots of fun, an amazing lunch and came home with a big bag of home baked delicious goodies. Can’t wait for my next workshop with Fulden. Thank you so much for a truly memorable day.

Having already had the pleasure of attending a Wrexham Food Walking Tour, I was excited to join Gareth in Shrewsbury recently for another fab experience - and it didn’t disappoint! Not only is Shrewsbury a stunning location to explore, but I was really impressed by Gareth’s knowledge of random quirky places. We enjoyed everything from gin to desserts, and sausage rolls to charcuterie. A true highlight for me was seeing behind the scenes at renowned wine merchant, Tanners - I just couldn’t get enough of it. Once again, Gareth and the individuals at each stop, made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough for a great day out.

Having never done a walking food tour before I really didn't know what to expect. It was a brilliant way to spend an afternoon in Shrewsbury. The tour was really well organised and Gareth was the perfect host, explaining much about the history of Shrewsbury as we were walking around. We visited a wide variety of independent venues, each one had their own uniqueness and were passionate about the locally sourced food and drinks that they served. All of which was delicious! This tour is certainly one not to be missed and I will be recommending it to my friends and family. Well done Gareth and your team.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Fantastic Afternoon Discovering Hidden ShrewsburyWe spent a wonderful few hours with Walking Food Tours in Shrewsbury this June and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Despite having visited Shrewsbury many times before, it was fascinating to see and hear about a completely different side of the town. The tour introduced us to some real hidden gems that we would never have found on our own, and there are several places we will definitely be returning to on future visits. A special mention must go to our guide, Heather, who was an absolute superstar. She looked after us brilliantly throughout the tour, shared fascinating stories and local history, and provided plenty of recommendations and insider tips for making the most of future trips to Shrewsbury. The combination of great food, interesting history, and Heather's enthusiasm made for a memorable experience.
