It is a very beautiful garden, it has endemic plants and plants from different places. It is very well laid out and largely accessible for wheelchairs. It has large areas of shaded trees, which is appreciated in the San Antonio summer heat. A quiet place. To enjoy with the family.

Charming and welcoming space that transports you to Tuscany. The grape varieties planted are appropriate for the climate and the wines are very well made. We had a fantastic tasting with our knowledgeable and gracious host Melina.

As a loyal wine club member, the benefit of year round wine tasting is awesome! We went to the Reserve Estate wine tasting and the selection was fantastic. Adam was our server and he was very knowledgeable and attentive to our table. His pours were at or more than the standard tasting serving.The bonus was the opportunity to meet one of the the new owners, Neal, who visited with us and share the vision for changes they plan on bringing to Flat Creek. It's going to be awesome!Hope to see you out there again.

We had a few hours to kill before a late afternoon plane. We went here and it was quite a surprise. The place is larger than you think. And it is divided into areas with a very diverse variety of plants. Their indoor spaces were not large, but they made the most of those showcases. Loved the design of the buildings around each other, with sunken outdoor area in between. There were many kids here, and I don't think there's enough for kids to enjoy this place (though there was a small area specifically for kids). We are so glad we toured this garden and we'll go back when we're in town again.

We visited while a new exhibit was being installed and were still able to experience the beautiful gardens. What a lovely visit. My 4-year-old son enjoyed it too. The grounds are very well maintained and it was very clean. Would be nice if they had printed maps so that we could visit all areas, but we used our phones. Also, check to see if you get a shared membership before visiting (we did with the Dallas Arboretum).

Gardens are lovely, lots of trails and plenty to see. Most wheelchair accessible. Hard to choose a favorite spot! No senior discount but moderate prices.

Great experience and very informative. Very nice of them to change our reservation a day ahead since I mistakenly put it o for the follow day. Our host David Bromley was very polite and knew his wine information. Our tour guide, Phillip Marcis was very knowledgeable about the kinds of grapes and the process they use. My husband and Phillip hit it off very well because they had something in common in the transportation industry. We hope to definitely come back soon with more people.

This cute winery was very welcoming and cozy. We enjoyed meeting the owners and getting a tour from the owner himself. We laughed, learned more about the wine making process and enjoyed the beautiful view from the patio of the winery.

We arrived at a beautiful picturesque venue, as seen in Life and leisure magazine. I was captivated immediately with the scenic route and landscaping of The Most High our wonderful creators beautiful work with rolling hills, wild flowers, cactus and greenery.. The stone, brick and mortar country ambience set the tone for a wonderful inviting adventure. The staff was very friendly , knowledgeable and informative of their wine pairings. Colton, our server was certainly a wine connoisseur leading the way of novice. We were extremely satisfied with our our selection and anticipate many visits to come.

The San Antonio Botanical Gardens property is extensive - nearly 40 acres to explore. It is atypical from other botanical gardens we've been to. Large parts of it are very arid and planted with cactus and succulents, and there's also a wooded area that has native Texas plants and some historical Texas cabins. We hiked around quite a bit in the heat until we discovered the pretty colorful formal gardens; if you're short on time, I'd recommend going to that area first. It's really lush and beautiful. We especially enjoyed the large wisteria arbor that covers the entry to the gardens. The rose garden looked like it would be fantastic in the spring, but nothing much was blooming when we were there. I'd recommend getting on their mailing list before your visit; they offer a number of activities and events on their calendar. There were origami classes when we were visiting, playing off the origami sculpture exhibit that's currently on display. We'd love to go back and take some of their cooking classes or one of their late night activities where you can enjoy cocktails in the gardens or create water lanterns in the Japanese garden. I'd recommend wearing good walking shoes when you visit and bringing a water bottle with you. There's a nice gift shop where you can purchase drinks and snacks if needed. Signage could be improved a bit so definitely grab a map at the front entrance. As far as pricing, we felt it was a little expensive at $15 per person, but it is a large property with a lot to offer. I'd love to go back in the spring when more of the plants will be in bloom.

Our visit was on Oct 22 and the weather was perfect! Mostly sunny and warm, the ideal time to see the plants at their best! The variety is amazing and there is so much more to see, too. The origami exhibits placed around the gardens were fascinating. I was interested to see purple porterweed as it attracted many butterflies. The modern buildings are striking in design and the folly at the top of the hill became a goal. It was helpful to have paved paths that climbed without stairs throughout the grounds and lots of benches to rest upon. (We are older and have mobility issues.) Informational signs were well done. We didn't know bison might charge a storm! There is a log building and water channels from historic times. So much to see and do!A gourmet restaurant recently opened on the site so we enjoyed lunch there. We shared a half-dozen appetizers that were awesome! Then we topped it off with a truly wonderful dessert that was really over the top! Special thanks to Abery (sp?) for her exceptional service even though she wasn't our server. She is a unique gem. Our waitress, Cydney, was really friendly, informative and sweet, too. When we left, we felt so very pampered!

Absolutely beautiful, and a must see. Great for families, couples, or just a relaxing stroll on your own. Beautiful sights and would gladly go again!

We have lived here for over 10 years and never knew about this place. We went on a Saturday morning around 11 am. We were really looking for something to pass the time with a 4 year old. This place hit the spot! Lots of different walking paths! We were here for about 3 hours and walked just under 3.5 miles. My personal favorite part was the Texas Native Trails. I was very interested in the native houses they have there. I felt like a lot of people were just passing them up and not really paying attention to them. After reading the house descriptions these are actually houses that were taken apart meticulously and transported to the Botanical Gardens. I thought it was amazing to see what the different types of homes were like and how they were constructed back in the day. Our granddaughter really enjoyed the Lake, the Overlook and Acequia. The lake has a lot of fish and turtles. If we had known we would have brought some old bread so she could have fed the fish.You can not bring outside drinks in. You can purchase bottled water their, and there are several refillable water stations along the way. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family when they visit.

I was so surprised at how many neat little things there was to do here. Since I'm a member of the Dallas Arboretum, I was able to get free reciprocal entry with my membership. There is a nice little cafe and shop as well as a garden shop. The trails are mostly paved and well taken care of so wandering the areas was pleasant. At the time of our visit, they had a Big Bug exhibit with giant works of art for photo-ops and scarecrows. We also found some playhouses and kid's activities along the trails including a stage with sitting area. On the lawns they had some various activities for kids (like hula-hoops). In the back of the garden they had historical cabins, giant furniture, and a giant chess set. Throughout the gardens there were a lot of nice areas for small groups and pavilions. I will definitely return next Spring to see all the beautiful flowers blooming. 14 year old - Enjoyed the chess set 10 year old - Enjoyed the giant chairs and the big bugs 5 year old - Enjoyed the giant chairs and the stage (with props)

Loved the indoor plant exhibits. All the outside ones were a pleasure to walk around. Layout of park is great.
