Lovely trip to Villa Yustina. Just one tasting, but it was plentiful! We contemplated just driving ourselves (as we had rental car), but going with a guide gave us a nice tour of the area and explanation of the geography in relation to both history and agriculture. And, we probably would have gotten lost as rural signs are sparse and only Bulgarian language. But, that’s why we got a guide!At the vineyard, we got a tour of the grounds, FYI - while a beautiful property, their actual grapes are not nearby. So, while this remind me of Napa a bit, you wont be getting shots of yourself sipping wine next to the vines.That said, we tasted 5 wines with a lovely meat and cheese spread. All of it was Amazing! Really, not a single wine that I wouldn’t buy. Very affordable wines as well. My only disappointment was that I couldn’t ship the wines home to the States, so I was limited to just a couple bottles to pack in my suitcase. Oh well!Plovdiv is a great ciry to visit, but if you feel like you want to get out of the city and see the surroundings, this is a great idea and comes with some delicious wine!

Due to our error, we mistakenly booked an excursion on the wrong date and missed it. However Chris was both understanding and accommodating, quickly putting together another option for us that fit our schedule without losing our original payment or encurring no-show penalty. It all worked out wonderfully because we experienced an amazing tour of Plovdiv! Guided by Alex who shared his expertise, knowledge and insights we were able to experience the ancient city of Plovdiv with a deeper understanding and appreciation for its history and beauty. Additionally, our guide Alex went above and beyond by helping us capture photographic memories, looking after our safety and comfort, recommending places to dine/dessert and shop. Bravo to Chris, Alex and their team. We hope to be able enjoy their services the next time we visit Bulgaria again.

I highly recommend this tour. Alex is incredibly knowledgeable, and his insight into Bulgaria’s Jewish community made the experience both meaningful and memorable. His engaging storytelling brought the history of the synagogue and the Jewish community to life.I especially enjoyed hearing his personal stories and perspectives from his interactions with Jewish communities across Bulgaria and Europe. If you want a deeper understanding of Jewish history and culture in Bulgaria, this tour is a must. One of the highlights of our trip.

I went on the Jewish Walking Tour of Plovdiv for my birthday, and it was such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate. The tour offered a fascinating look at Plovdiv’s Jewish history while also taking us through several important landmarks around the city.Alex, our tour guide, is literally an academic, and his depth of knowledge really showed throughout the tour. He was incredibly intelligent, engaging, and thoughtful in the way he explained the history. He also answered all of our questions thoroughly, and I learned so much while still feeling like the experience was relaxed and enjoyable.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in Jewish history, Bulgarian history, or simply looking for a unique activity in Plovdiv.

Amazing wine tour!
We had a wonderful wine tasting experience with Kamen this morning who took us to Villa Yustina. It was relaxing being picked up from our accommodation, learning about the land and history as we drove to the winery and then having a fantastic tasting experience. The wines are of a fantastic quality and we walked away with quite a few bottles, with plans to return. Kamen and the winery were very accommodating and welcoming and we had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this tour!

This day trip covers 6,000 years of history, bringing us from the neolithic era (Museum of History Iskra) to the Thracian kings, to the cultivation of roses and distillation of rose oil who is still now one of Bulgaria's economic staples. The trip provides a visual summary of a country embedded in a rich and long history but looking to the future. Kamen, our guide, was perfect. He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, unafraid of questions that may not have answers, and bringing us to think with him. He was also funny, making the trip quite enjoyable. This is a must-see trip for those who love history, but also for those who enjoy beauty and elegance in different forms, from an extraordinary crown made of gold, to a delicate perfume. My friends and I are ready to do it again.

Magnificent
This was an absolute delight of a day. Kamen was our guide, this is the second tour we took with him, and all we can say is that he went above all expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable of his country’s history and you can feel his delight in showing and sharing this town. The trip started with a drive throughout the countryside, then we saw the town centra square, a history packed bridge, then we saw three very distinctive homes, a church and its graves. We followed all this with a wonderful lunch with traditional cuisine and good conversation, then followed up with two more homes. I recommend this tour if you want to see a traditional and local side of Bulgaria and its culture. Now, if you can go with Kamen, he will turn a great trip to a magnificent lifetime experience.
