As a family we had the most stellar day on the river with our guides Finn, Tom and Isla. We were lucky with the weather, a beautiful day. Our guides were friendly and made the trip fun especially for the kids aged 9-15 yrs. They were flexible and we could stop and eat when we needed. Highly recommend for families that enjoy the outdoors and we even got to see Whio. Thank you River Valley!

This place is a hidden gem- once you discover it you will love it as we do- and have stayed 5 times now. Stunning location beside the amazing white cliffs of the Rangitikei River. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Cafe restaurant and bar offers all you need and other camp facilities clean and set up for easy access from accommodation units. Family raft trip heaps of fun. The perfect place to hang out.

Went rafting with the family on the 29th of March for my daughters birthday, seven adults in the party, and also our 20-month granddaughter. Our guide Ceaser was excellent, informative, helpful, and nothing was a problem, telling us when we needed to paddle and explain the areas of beauty. The trip was approx 4.5 hours, and went through some stunning countryside visiting the Boulder Park where a full picnic lunch was served. All the family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. After the rafting, our transport was waiting to transfer us back to the cafe and campsite where hot drinks and a snack were served, It was a fantasic experience to the extent if we return to NZ we intend do a rafting camping experience with this firm. Excellent guides!!! Really cool experience, the belaying was awkward and we weren't able to execute well but other than that it was awesome. The hot showers at the end are a great idea but they were way too scalding hot to actually shower.

A fun way to discover the cave and see the glowworms. It was a unique experience. The hot shower and the soup afterwards were very pleasant.

This Black water rafting was unforgettable experience. Floating through the underground caves beneath thousands of glowing glowworms was truly magical. Amazing guides.

I did the Abyss Tour and it was absolutely amazing! I haven't found an excursion like this anywhere in the world; definitely worth flying halfway around the world for. They have so many surprises and activities in the cave for you to do! A must stop if you visit New Zealand! The caves they offer are filled with wonders no where else in the world.

This was awesome! Our guide, Ellen, was knowledgeable and funny. She adapted to the needs of our group quickly and made the experience that much better. We saw Glowworm from right away scattered around and then once we got deeper into the cave we saw them in larger groups. It was magical!
