⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Absolutely Fantastic Day Cruise – Exceptional Team and Memorable Experience**I had the pleasure of taking the **Captain Cook Cruises Day Cruise on Saturday, 19 September**, and what an incredible experience it was. The day was **amazing, magical, beautiful, and full of memorable moments**.Having worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for many years, I pay particular attention to service standards, guest engagement, presentation, teamwork, and the overall guest experience. I can honestly say that the crew on this particular cruise were absolutely fantastic.I would like to personally acknowledge the following team members:**Wise, Julius, Qory, Talei, Amelia, Mere, Joseva, Captain Mari, John Biu, and Bale.**Every one of them contributed to making the day special. Their friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, entertainment, and willingness to engage with guests were clearly noticeable throughout the cruise.### 🌟 Special Recognition to BaleA very special mention must go to **Bale**, who was one of the highlights of the day. WOW!She was exceptionally well presented, precise, attentive to detail, friendly, energetic, and always had a beautiful smile. She had a wonderful way of interacting with guests and creating a positive atmosphere. Her ability to entertain while maintaining professionalism was outstanding.Bale genuinely helped make everyone's day amazing, and I believe she is a wonderful asset to the Captain Cook Cruises team.### 🌊 Recognition for the Marine BiologistI would also like to recognise the **Marine Biologist**, who was absolutely amazing. She was calm, knowledgeable, professional, and very detailed when explaining the marine environment and activities. It was very clear to me that she is extremely hardworking and passionate about her role. Her job is challenging, particularly when she is required to continuously enter the water even when conditions are unpleasant. That level of commitment should not go unnoticed. I strongly believe the company should value and recognise the contribution she makes. Her knowledge and experience have certainly added another dimension to the Captain Cook Cruises experience. Having worked in many areas of hospitality and tourism myself, I was particularly impressed by her attitude, dedication, and professionalism.### 🎶 Activities and EntertainmentThe activities were another major highlight of the cruise, and the **singing and entertainment were especially enjoyable**. The crew created a wonderful atmosphere and kept guests engaged throughout the day. This is what hospitality is all about — creating experiences that people remember long after they leave.### 🍽️ A Small Suggestion – Breakfast ServiceI would also like to provide one small operational suggestion that may help improve the guest experience and housekeeping efficiency.During breakfast, I noticed that **serviettes were being used in a way that allowed crumbs to fall onto the carpet/rug**. Perhaps the use of **small paper plates or suitable breakfast plates** could be considered. This would provide guests with a better surface for their food while also reducing crumbs falling onto the carpet and potentially creating additional cleaning work for the team.It is only a small observation, but sometimes small operational changes can make a significant difference.### ⚠️ Important OHS & Guest Safety ObservationI would also like to raise an important safety observation regarding **guest disembarkation and boarding**.On the day of our cruise, the sea was quite windy and the conditions were relatively rough. I observed that during disembarkation, a ramp was not being used and staff were physically supporting guests as they boarded and disembarked.Although the staff were doing their very best to assist and protect the guests, I felt that this method could potentially present a safety risk, particularly when the boat is moving or rocking due to sea conditions. If a guest were to take the wrong step or lose their balance while the vessel was moving, it could potentially result in an accident, even with staff providing assistance. From an **Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) perspective**, I believe this is something that should be reviewed as soon as possible. My intention in providing this feedback is not to criticise the crew — quite the opposite. The staff were doing an excellent job under the circumstances.I am raising this observation because **guest safety and staff safety must always come first**. If there is a safer boarding and disembarkation procedure, such as the appropriate use of a ramp or another approved system depending on sea conditions, I believe this should be implemented and consistently followed. This would help prevent potential accidents in the future and also provide additional protection for both **Captain Cook Cruises and its guests**.### 🌺 Overall ExperienceOverall, this was an **absolutely fantastic cruise**, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The crew were the biggest highlight for me. Their attitude, teamwork, professionalism, entertainment, and genuine engagement with guests demonstrated what good hospitality should look like.**Wise, Julius, Qory, Talei, Amelia, Mere, Joseva, Captain Mari, John Biu, Bale, and the entire crew — thank you for making the day so special.**Your service, smiles, entertainment, knowledge, and dedication created a wonderful experience that I will remember.I have worked in hospitality for many years, and I can genuinely appreciate a team that understands that **service is not just about serving guests — it is about creating memories, making people feel welcome, and ensuring they leave with a positive experience.**Captain Cook Cruises should be proud of this team. With continued investment in staff development, operational improvements, and strong attention to guest safety, I believe the experience can become even better.**Vinaka vakalevu to the entire team for an amazing, magical and beautiful day! 🌊☀️🌺****Absolutely fantastic — and a special thank you to every member of the crew who made our Saturday unforgettable.**

We had an amazing experience with Blue Lagoon Cruise. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, the scenery was absolutely stunning, and everything was well organised from start to finish. The food, activities, and overall service exceeded our expectations.I would highly recommend Blue Lagoon Cruise to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing island experience. An easy A++ rating! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have just returned from the 4-night Blue Lagoon Cruise and what an incredible experience it was!The boat itself was lovely, our cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. We were greeted with a beautiful beach bag, sarongs, reusable water bottles and other lovely touches which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent throughout the cruise. There was certainly no danger of going hungry – in fact there was probably a little too much! Every meal was delicious with plenty of choice. The included excursions were all well organised and gave us the opportunity to experience the beautiful Yasawa Islands. Whether it was snorkelling, village visits or exploring, every activity was enjoyable and professionally run. What really made the holiday, however, was the crew. Every single member of staff was friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed to enjoy making our trip special. Nothing was too much trouble, and they created such a warm, relaxed atmosphere on board. One thing that particularly impressed us was the emphasis on safety. Whether we were snorkelling, visiting the caves or taking part in other excursions, the crew took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured everyone felt comfortable and safe before each activity began. It was reassuring to see such a professional approach while still keeping everything fun and enjoyable. We would not hesitate to recommend Blue Lagoon Cruises to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Fiji. It was the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure and outstanding hospitality, and we left with wonderful memories that will stay with us for a long time.

the trip was really great, although the staff on the island were confused who we booked through, it was worth the money!! everything was already organised and didn’t have to book things like the snorkelling trip or accommodation which was great!

Beautiful day tour to Tivua Island, and enchanting Sunset cruise to end a perfect day! Kudos to the staff at Captain Cook cruises for making this so special!

We had.a great time on this tour and would love to go back to Likuri Island (Robinson Crusoe Island) to stay longer. The first day was a visit to the mud pools and thermal springs where we had the whole place to ourselves (worth booking a massage as well). Total relaxation and to be honest we could have stayed there all day. We then visited a village for a Kava ceremony and lunch and then finally we were off for our transfer to Likuri Island. The island is very relaxing, staff amazing and the fire dance show is incredible. It's not held every night however so you need to check in advance. The island plays host to day and evening visits with much fewer people stopping over night. We did enjoy it most when there were fewer people but it was never overcrowded. The bures are comfortable with outside toilets that are basic but all you need. I saw one review complaining about them but I'm not sure what they were expecting for the money they were paying. There is no aircon in the bures but there is a ceiling fan which was totally adequate for us. We were sad to leave the island after our two nights. Our third day was spent going to the Biausevu Waterfall and drive along the Coral Coast. We could have additionally gone to a market on the way but chose to spend more time at the falls. At Biausevu village you are welcomed with another Kava ceremony then it's a 2km hike each way to get to the falls with a river to cross (7 times), just over knee deep each time. If you're less active it's probably worth paying for a horse to get you up there. We then had lunch at a nice hotel on the Coral Coast before being dropped off at our accomodation at about 5pm. Our guide (for the first day only) and driver (for the first and third days) were both great. Highly recommended.

Best country I have ever been to the best marine life. The nicest happiest most welcoming people I have ever met in my life will deffo be returning.

It was a beautiful trip and we had a wonderful time at the Barefoot Kuata Resort. The staff were so welcoming and gave is plenty of entertainment. We got to the island at 10.45 not knowing that both guided snorkelling sesssions for that day started at 8am and 11am. We were welcomed by staff and shown a video about the bull shark diving. So we missed the guided snorkelling for that day but told we could do it at 8am the next day. We were given two different dorm rooms and told there was no room to be put together, so we paid 278 FJD to be upgraded to a double garden room. The island is beautiful and there is some lovely walks you can do on it. The resort itself is gorgeous too. We had a night of heavy rain so not much activity but still had a lovely time.

Robinson Crusoe Island and the waterfalls were great. Williame is an incredible guide. The folks in Fiji are very hospitable and kind with their time.

Awesome Adventures had some mixed reviews when we were looking at our Fiji holiday, but defintely glad to have booked through them. Very easy booking process and ability to add and change things as needed for our accommodation - so all was booked prior ready to go. Checked in at airport office as per advice (didn't need to after all), bus was there to collect us from our accommodation on departure day, and the process to get vouchers etc at the port was very easy also. Transfers between resorts very easy and straight forward. Wireless on board didn't really work too well, but this wasn't a huge issue overall. All in all very easy and positive experience.

Our Fiji trip was amazing! I booked the one coconut private bure full monty package and we loved the entire experience. I highly recommend doing this trip. It's worth it! (Pack strong bug spray and sunscreen for the islands.) Thank you Cool Destinations and your partners AwesomeAdventures Fiji for an incredible week!

Absolutely amazing trip. Value for money was outstanding and I will definitely be booking through Cool Destinations again. I could not reccommend this trip more highly.
