Highly recommend. Our guide Marcos brought ponchos for us because they forecasted rain, and luckily we didn't need them. Marcos was full of positivity, energy, and enthusiasm. We learned history while also eating authentic food that the locals eat. We went back to some of the places afterwards. Ridiculously inexpensive for this Gringo Gordo (me). I recommend doing it early in your stay so that you can return and enjoy the ones you liked the most once more. Wonderful.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! My dad and I visited Mérida together unsure of all the different types of food in Yucatán, but this tour helped us find so much clarity and understand the preparations of food. We tried salbutes, panuchos, lomitos, agua fresca and much more. Everything was included in the tour fee and we didn’t need to pay anything at any of the eight locations.The tour last 3 hours with our guide. We were told the group accommodates up to 10 people, but having the two of us and the guide during the low season of tourists worked great for us to have a more intimate experience and ask lots of questions. This tour is a must-do while in Mérida!

Chef's Tour Is A Great Experience
This was our second Chef's Tour, our first in Merida, and it was just as good as the first. We received reminders and good communication leading up to the event, so the meeting spot was easy to find. Our guide Adrian was fantastic - knowledgeable, warm, and proud of the food he was sharing with us. Also incredibly thoughtful, we were not prepared for the downpour and he got us ponchos.The amount of food was almost overwhelming, in the best way. Every stop introduced us to something new, unique, and delicious that we never would have found or tried on our own. The highlight was the turkey relleno negro.Highly recommend this tour, and Adrian specifically, to anyone visiting Merida who wants to eat well, see the city through a local's eyes, and learn something along the way.

The cantina tour of bites and booze was above my expectations! I loved the authentic experience of going to local cantinas and trying all sorts of different bontanas. There are varying experiences in each different cantina and you get a variety of vibes. The tour itself is around four hours and includes PLENTY of food to share with your fellow tour members. All your drinks and snacks are included but you are welcome to buy more beverages if you feel the need. You just have to pay for them separately. The guide(s) will be happy to facilitate getting you anything you may like. Overall: 10/10! Best for a small group (3-5), but you don't know how many people will be in your tour.

Very nice experience
This morning we did a street food tour with Luz, a local guide, through Mérida's market. It was busy, since the schools are on holiday, and between stalls selling clothes, bags, and mopeds, we tasted our way through Mexican cuisine.We also tried unusual (for us) fruits like pitahaya, sapote, and the large Yucatecan avocado (delicious with just sour orange and salt), spicy herb pastes for seasoning meat, and colorful candy made from fruit and meringue.After the market we had ceviche with tacos at a hidden fish restaurant, finishing with ice cream in the most surprising flavors.A really lovely morning full of color, scent, and friendly people. We like it a lot!Luz was very friendly and kind!
