Every stop is walkable. 2 are longer than a mile. I am challenged in that but the guide was great. Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons were my favorites.

This trip was truly wonderful. The places we have seen - and there are many- are amazing and our memories will live forever. Perry our guide is great, and our drivers always made us feel safe. It's not a relaxing holiday, but it is a road trip of a lifetime.

I loved everything about this tour!!! JG was truly incredible!!! It was worth every penny. JG made sure we had enough restroom breaks, took pictures in the best spots. We saw bison, grizzly, and another grizzly feasting on the remains of a deceased bison. Highlight of this whole trip is Grand Prismatic Spring, So amazing to see the beautiful colors. This is your best bet for an amazing couple of days at Yellowstone & Grand Teton!! This tour is also fun and guiding was very informative!!

If you want to experience the breathtaking beauty and rich history of the Old West without any of the planning or driving stress, this is the tour for you! It is a truly great value for your money from start to finish.​To get the most out of an adventure this massive, you do need to come prepared for a fast pace: the call times are early in the morning, the hotels are standard budget accommodations rather than luxury resorts, and you should definitely be ready for long bus rides. But given how much ground you cover and how hassle-free it is, the value is absolutely unbeatable.​Our 7-day itinerary took us straight into the heart of the American West, and every single stop was incredible. We particularly loved exploring the historic, charm-filled cowboy towns like West Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. Witnessing iconic landmarks like the Grand Prismatic Spring, Old Faithful, Mt. Rushmore, Arches National Park, and the spectacular Red Rocks Amphitheatre was absolutely unforgettable.​What really elevated this trip from great to epic, though, was the phenomenal crew:​Perry, our guide, did a superb job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us informed and engaged, sharing fascinating insights about the places we visited every step of the way.​Clint, our driver, was absolute perfection. Even on the most winding mountain roads, his excellent driving skills meant we never felt scared for a second. Beyond his technical skill, he brought so much fun and energy to the trip—even those 9-hour driving stretches flew by because he kept us entertained with his howling and talking!​Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this trip so deeply memorable. You made our adventure truly epic!

Overall, I think this was a great trip for the value. We got to see a lot of amazing sights in a short amount of time. Clint, our driver, was the best. Very energetic and positive and drove thru very winding, narrow roads like a pro. Perry, our tour guide, was very organized and hard working. It is a bilingual tour for English and Mandarin speakers. I loved all the places we went to: Crazy horse memorial, Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Great Salt Lake, Utah Capitol, Temple for Latter Day Saints, Arches, Vail and Red Rock Amphitheater. The only so so places were Colorado Capitol and 16th Street. I wish we could have gone to Canyonlands since it is so close to Arches but didn’t have time. I also wish Arches was in the morning. We went in the afternoon and it was very hot! I think Red Rocks should be on the first day of the tour so you can spend more time at Vail on the last day (they bring you back to Denver airport). The bus is very comfortable with spacious seating and you can charge your phone. The trip was very action packed. Some days we spent 9-11 hours on the tour bus so it may not be for everyone. However, you can take lots of pictures of the beautiful landscape of the American West from the majestic mountains against sprawling lakes and the neverending plains. The days were long and sometimes you were on the tour bus starting at 6:30am and ended the day around 8 or 8:30 pm. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this may not be a good fit. The hotel accommodations were okay. The hotels in West Yellowstone do not have elevators so maybe an issue for elderly people with mobility issues. The food in West Yellowstone is expensive since the city is open for only half the year. Overall, I loved this trip, had a great time and thought it was a good value for all the places we went to. However, it may not be for everyone for reasons I mentioned above.

I was greeted by Perry our tour guide at Denver International Airport. We then boarded us Bus and met our driver, Clint. We loaded the full bus and headed to Cheyenne WY and taking necessary stops for restroom and meal breaks. Along the way you meet wonderful people and enjoy great conversations amongst your peers. However, Perry and Clint kept us entertained for most of the trip. All of the hotels we stayed in were very nice and very comfortable. We first visited the Crazy Horse Memorial, Mt. Rushmore, and lastly Devils Tower National Monuments. The next two and half days we visited Yellowstone National Park which was amazing to see. On the other half day, we visited Grand Teton for lunch and sightseeing. We then headed to Jackson Hole for sightseeing and next onto Salt Lake City to rest. The last day was a morning tour of Salt Lake City Capitol building and Temple Square and my trip came to an end with Perry. I had such a great time with both Perry and Clint. Both were very knowledgeable about the sightseeing areas and gave great recommendations of where to go and what to see.My final tour was off to the Salt Flats with a new driver named Junio or Junlio. Well, this young man should have his license taken away from him. When I tell you everyone thought we were going to have a major crash with serious injuries or death. To drive so fast over 80 MPH in inclement weather with rain and hail should have told you to slow down. We were sliding all over the road and he had no respect for truck drivers or any other vehicle around him. To tell him to slow down was pretty much telling him to speed up. On our way back to the airport slamming on the break to not go throw a red light. Yes, I am so happy to be alive to write this. This driver seemed like he did not want to do his job and was just trying to get the trip over and quickly.

Book ahead. This was a last minute booking. Just 3 days in planning. There is no actual tour guide person. You are just riding a train w/ the use of an app( Pintour app) that welcomes you & describes in general what you'll experience. There are 2 separate company sending you email. Cool Destinations & and an agency ( no name but uses the "California ZEPHYR adventure" tour which basically directs you what is going to happen: send info on ticket link: to show Amtrak people ( coz Amtrak do not know what this tour is because this "no name agency" will only buy the Amtrak tix for you. Also directs you to download Pintourapp. Your departure place is EMERYVILLE AMTRAK station in Oakland. Ca. You will need to book your Amtrak ticket from your place to Emeryville. This was a challenge because all transportation ( amtrak, greyhound, or flight) to Emeryville was too long not making it to the 8am CA ZEPHYR Adventure in Emeryville. We had to drive instead which was another problem coz we got there to Oakland but the Enterprise rental car offices ( all sfo/ oakland branches) opens at 8am and the trip starts at 820am. We had to be on-time. We were lucky that the people at Enterprize took us ti return the car early at 745pm. We had to drive 35 mins from Berkeley to Emeryville & return the rental car. All these happened before 8am. We then took Uber from the rental car place, took us 10 mins & $12 . We barely made it. No one was there at AMTRAK from this PinTour to help us. The Amtrak train was there in less than 5 mins of our arrival and if we did not asked questions. We would hv missed the CaZephyr Adventure which listed us ($600) plus all the rental& flight /hotel cost coming back ( $200 car& gas; 1$130 hotel). Almost $1000+ . Another problem was there was a change in the travel date going back to California, 1 day late. THUS: a stressful arrangement prior & after this tour. My suggestion: You can book this on your own. But prepared to plot your plan. "Hows& wheres" you going to get to the starting & End point ans how to get back to California. This DIY maybe cheaper or about same cost. The only difference is having the agency you'll have some direction ( but very confusing on PinTours,). Be prepared, book months ahead. Amtrak ricket can get pricey nearing the date of tour.

The National Parks Tour is a good trip if you wish to see the highlights of the parks, but it does involve long bus rides daily to visit all of the places in this itinerary. Stops were made every 2 hours or so for rest rooms and/or food. Arrival to our hotel was often 8 pm or later. September was a great time to visit and we did see some fall colors starting to change. We had the opportunity to enjoy lunch at several restaurants in the National Parks. Our tour guide, Perry provided information about each days' stops and the local areas we visited. The bus was clean and our bus driver Clint took us to see some amazing places.

We just returned from our Yellowstone tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. We visited so many incredible places, including Yellowstone National Park, the Grand Tetons, Jenny Lake, Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone Lake, Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, Arches National Park, Vail, and even the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre.The scenery was breathtaking everywhere we went. Grand Prismatic Spring and Yellowstone Lake were my personal favorites, but the Grand Tetons were absolutely stunning as well. We saw tons of wildlife, including hundreds of bison, elk, prairie dogs, a bear, and even a fox walking the sidewalks in West Yellowstone!The tour was well organized, and it was wonderful not having to worry about driving through unfamiliar areas. We covered a lot of ground and saw places that had only existed in pictures and travel magazines for me before this trip.It was a busy and sometimes exhausting week, but every mile was worth it. If Yellowstone and the American West are on your bucket list, I highly recommend taking this trip. Perry our tour guide did a fabulous job keeping us informed. The memories and scenery will stay with me forever.❤️🦬⛰️

I am a seasoned traveler and usually opt for a private tour, but I couldn’t find such an option for this kind of trip. Booking this 7-day, 6-state, and 3-national-park expedition (including Yellowstone) through Cool Destinations was an excellent decision.Trip Highlights:: 1) Perfect Scenery: The weather was gorgeous, the driveways were incredibly scenic, and we were given plenty of stops and time to explore each location.; 2) Exceptional Staff: Our driver, Clint, and tour guide, Perry, went above and beyond. They genuinely cared about the customers, making the entire trip entertaining and highly enjoyable. 3) Great Atmosphere: The bus crowd was international, friendly, and very respectful of everyone's time. Overall, I totally recommend this trip if you want to explore the beautiful America. Mind-blowing!.

This tour covers a lot of ground in a few days. The amount of sites you see is phenomenal. However, the eating and sleeping arrangements are sub par. I realize hotels are expensive near tourist attractions but I would have rather paid more for better nightly accommodations with a breakfast included. Also, gas station eating is not the ideal situation for someone with a chronic health condition. I found it frustrating. The tour guide was very friendly but I would’ve loved more information on the mountain ranges we were driving by since I had never been in the area. We also would’ve loved the chance to do an optional Crazy Horse tour that could be taken up to the top of the Crazy Horse. (Higher than the CH bus took us) This was offered only in the late afternoon so maybe it was more a timing issue. The bus driver was great, humorous and informative. We felt very confident as he drove in rain and snow and over the mountains. All in all it was a good trip with some disappointing aspects.

A weeks worth of several activities and sightseeing every day. Leave the driving to someone experienced to handle the elements and relax and enjoy. Just be prepared to not have all meals provided.

The tour was very informative. I learned new information about all of the stops from Perry, the tour leader, and Clint, the bus driver.

A really great tour, saw lots of sights including ones we knew and ones we were pleasantly surprised by. Guide Frank and driver Lynn were both lovely and had lots of knowledge to share. Every day was packed full (sometimes with a lot of commuting) and it was very well planned out. Would have liked more time at Arches rather than in Salt Lake City but we still saw a couple of the main features there. Overall a great experience.
