Our guide Matt was friendly and kind. My cousin and I had a fun and safe time at Sunshine Slabs. It was my cousin’s first time climbing and she felt encouraged and happy with the experience.My only feedback is to clarify what “no private transportation” meant on the booking. I thought it referred to transportation to the meeting point (i.e. the office). It was unclear to me we needed private transportation TO the rock climbing site so that would have been helpful to know and more clearly communicated.Thank you for the fun!

I can’t recommend this excursion enough. It was the favorite activity of all the things we did in Banff for our entire family. We only had our family of four, a guide, and an additional climber. It was such a lovely reprieve from Banff crowds. Our guide, Tai, was patient, friendly, and a wonderful teacher. The climbing site is gorgeous and only 10 minutes from Banff. There is something for all experience levels. I am definitely beginner and somewhat out of shape, and had an excellent and easy time. My kids more climbing more advanced routes. There was also an experienced climber in our group, and he was able to get routes that challenged him. It truly is all day. For us, we arrived at 8:00 and lasted until around 2:00. Such a great value and core memories for our family!

As soon as we met Shauna, we felt at ease. She is a very caring and kind person. We were complete novices at skiing and the lesson allowed plenty of time for us to learn how to fall over and get back up . We are a mature couple and were not sure if we could do it, but Shauna gave us the confidence and encouragement that we needed. The small groups (max 6) certainly allows everyone to learn at their own pace. Thank you for taking us to the back of the lake to see the frozen falls and ice climbing. Something we will never forget xx.

My wife and I went with Shauna to Lake Louise for a beginner cross country ski lesson and had a fantastic time. She took us to a good trail and taught us the basics from the ground up. Shauna was very patient with us (mature adults) and has a great sense of humour. We would certainly book with Shauna again.

Amazing Bouldering Experience with Zenan and My Family!Our bouldering lesson with Zenan was absolutely fantastic! My family and I were new to the sport, but Zenan made sure we all felt at ease and supported throughout the session. His clear instructions, helpful tips, and encouragement helped each of us improve our technique and tackle new challenges.Zenan's energy was contagious, and his ability to adapt to each person's skill level made the experience enjoyable for everyone, from beginners to those with a bit more experience. We all left feeling stronger, more confident, and excited to try bouldering again!This was such a fun and memorable activity for our family, and we highly recommend Zenan for anyone looking to learn or improve their bouldering skills.

My family (mom 50, kids 18 and 14) had an awesome day with Mitch climbing the Rockies of Banff. Mitch was excellent in taking things step by step, instructing and still making sure we got an experience in finding our own way in the rock climb! And also just a really pleasant and cool human being to spend a day with! I highly recommend!

Jacob was the best. Great guy to be around definitely made the experience. Very knowledgeable, down to earth, and has some great stories.

Did the rock masters course with Sasha. I learned a ton about trad and multi pitch rope systems, Sasha went above and beyond by tailoring the course to fit my personal alpine climing goals and provided additional information resources for multiple personal objectives. Always a good investment to learn best up to date practices to stay safe on solo objectives.

Incredible time with guides Dustin and Janet. They were so patient and helpful with our 9 year olds and tailored climbs to the group’s level and experience. By the end, my 13 year old attempted a level 10a climb. Fantastic experience in beautiful surroundings. Dustin and Janet were attentive, emphasized safety and climbing techniques, and ensured we reached our personal goals.

All memorable and fun. We learned a lot. Jacob was an excellent instructor. The day was gorgeous, and we got to try 6 different climbing spots.

11/10 experience! Our very knowledgeable and amazing guide, Jacob, made the day approachable and fun for my sister, who is totally new to climbing, and for me, an experience indoor climber but with no outdoor experience! Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for another day to get outside in beautiful Banff.

This experience was one for the books. Dustin was an excellent mentor and his experience and knowledge of climbing and the location was second to none. The best part is this experience is for anyone! If you've climbed before or not, you're going to learn the ropes (no pun intended) and have the most fun outdoors. (:

Dustin was great! He was very encouraging, precautious, and informative. I appreciated him teaching us how to do the more technical things as well as ensuring we had a good experience.

Austin was our guide and my family had a great time! He was very patient in helping my 9 year old daughter have a positive experience. My 12 year old daughter had an awesome time and was the reason we chose to do rock climbing again!The only recommendation I would make is to have the climbers fitted for shoes before meeting at the climbing site. There were limited sizing for shoes brought to the climbing site. My husband wears a size 8 and his option was 7.5 or 8.5. He wore the smaller shoes which were very uncomfortable even without socks. The 8.5 were too big even with socks.With the smaller shoe, he had to take them off right after each climb and put back on before each climb. There were 4 climbers in our family and 5 climbers in our group.The same thing happened to my older daughter except she chose to size up but that meant her toes couldn’t reach the tip of her shoe which made it harder for her to climb using her toes where needed. She is a strong climber so made the most of it and still had fun.Perhaps consider having your guests provide their shoe size in advance if not doing shoe fitting before heading out to climbing area.We’ve climbed with another company before and all climbers were properly fitted for everything before we headed out.I took one star off for the limited shoe sizes available on this experience. Otherwise, we all had a great time and would do it again but ask about shoe sizing in advance next time!

Austin was an awesome guide so very laid back and knowledgeable. Even when I felt stuck he gave ideas and got me up the wall.

Rock Climbing Experience I loved my rock climbing session with Jacob. He is an amazing instructor, he showed me the techniques I needed to get better at rock climbing. I climbed 6 walls (5:4, 5:5 5:6, 5:7, 5:8, and 5:9 of difficulty in the Sunshine RockI highly recommend Jacob to anyone who wants to learn how to rock climb quickly, he is an expert. He went above and beyond with his climbing techniques.
