I have recently attended two classes with Anita. Breadmaking and Vegetarian cooking. There is no problem booking solo as Anita makes everyone feel welcome and connected. Such an enjoyable, relaxed day with lunch included. You go away with new ideas, a food package and tips and recipes to make at home. Looking forward to more.

This was my second masterclass with Anita, and it was even better than the first one. I can highly recommend the winter Cooking with Cheese class. Anita is very knowledgeable, friendly, and totally engages with everyone. I have learnt two main things from Anita: cooking isn't as hard as you might think; and, it's perfectly fine to adjust or modify the dish you are making as you go along. Finally, don't just think about doing a class - book it!

We couldn’t attend the Tasting Australia workshop ‘Bread: Everything you knead to know’ taught by Anita from The Foodbuilder. Luckily for us Anita was able to organise and run the same session a week later as a private class just for us (two couples). Anita’s bread making class was an absolutely wonderful experience — informative, hands-on, and so much fun from start to finish. Anita’s, and her helper Martina, passion and knowledge made the session engaging and easy to follow, whether you’re a complete beginner or already enjoy baking at home. We explored a delicious variety of breads including braided bread, sourdough, rye, pretzels, croissants and more, while learning the techniques to confidently create our own at home. Anita shared fantastic insights into different grains, yeast, sourdough starters, plus plenty of helpful tips and tricks for achieving the perfect loaf every time. The four-hour class was perfectly paced and included a delicious homemade lunch, dessert, and beautiful McLaren Vale wines from Kimbolton and Dandelion Vineyards, which made the whole experience feel extra special. It was also incredibly generous — we went home with plenty of freshly baked bread, our own sourdough starter, and a detailed recipe booklet to continue baking afterwards. A truly inspiring and enjoyable class that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn the art of bread making in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

What a day! We popped in to visit a friend’s winery and left feeling like we’d won the wine lottery 🍷 Cameron, the owner, took the time to show us around, share his stories, and pour some truly exceptional wines (generously, we might add!). It’s not every day you get to enjoy world-class wine with the person who made it, and we savoured every sip. Great wine, great company, and memories we’ll be toasting to for a long time.

Lovely way to spend half a day in this part of the world. Cooking demonstration was first rate and you get to sample all the cooked goodies. Followed by lunch in the restaurant where you choose an entree and main from the menu. Then took a leisurely stroll around the lake/farm before settling back down in the Farm shop for a wine tasting.

The tour is amazing, wine testing# food delicious. It’s a great experience and highly recommended to friends & family.

Anita was a great host and was very generous with her time. The experience was excellent, learning to bake bread in different ways and learning the techniques was great. The food was lovely too, and for anyone wanting a getaway from the CBD, it is a great opportunity to do so and enjoy a friendly experience too. Peter was generous with his time too talking through some of the savory biscuits he made, and Jem was a gem! The opportunity was intimate too so was great getting know the others that attended, and allowed for questions to be asked to Anita without it being overwhelming. Would recommend anyone to give it a go.

What a great class! I've meant to bake my own bread for so long and finally got around to pressing the start button. Anita is knowledgeable as she is enthusiastic, we learned a LOT and it was a fun day. There were lots of goodies to enjoy there, including a fabulous lunch, and lots to take home even. The class of 6 meant that we all got hands-on experience without being crowded. Looking forward to more!
