Zagreb 2026 Calendar of Events

This is an amazing museum- visually astounding! We felt like we were in a dark, Tim Burton fantasy land, inhabited by witches, fairies, goblins, etc! The audio guide was easy to use and told Slavic legends of old .Definitely worth the trip ! There was a friendly greeter in the shape of a luxuriously furred white dog, named Mora!

We took the Lower Town tour and absolutely loved it! It was fun, interesting and such a great way to discover Zagreb. Our guides, Bruno and Filip, were wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and with excellent English. They made the whole experience both informative and genuinely enjoyable. I travel quite a lot and often take tuk-tuks, vintage cars or similar sightseeing tours when visiting a new city, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most enjoyable tours I’ve ever taken. A fantastic experience and a really fun way to see Zagreb. Highly recommended!

Great Day visiting these two places. Guide very informative, and speaking very good English. Enough time to roam around.

We enjoyed a very relaxing day with Tom tasting wine at two vineyards and a brief stop in Samobor for coffee and a huge local dessert. Both wineries served a charcuterie platter of local meats, cheeses and breads. It was very filling. Tom’s English is extremely good and enabled us to have a wide ranging and interesting conversation with the winery owners. We came away with increased knowledge of the history of Croatia, wine making techniques and local grape varieties. The drive to the wineries is through a national park and is a very pretty part of the world. This tour is recommended for anyone who would like a guide to take them out of Zagreb for a pleasant day in the countryside. An interest in wine helps but isn’t necessary.

Fantastic day trip! The size of the group (8) was perfect and we packed in a lot in one day. Our driver /guide was patient and informative. The pick up was a bit tense so just ask what kind of vehicle you are looking for during pre-trip messages. I highly recommend this travel group and itinerary!

Great show! Authentic talk about croatian culture, live music and great folk dancing. Many dances shown and explained by the experts and lots of fun when we joined in guided by them. They are so happy to answer all questions. Simply the best we could experience in Zagreb.

As a Canadian of Croatian descent — and someone who was involved with Croatian folklore for decades — I’m extremely impressed with Hrvatska Kuća and Hearts of Zagreb. The displays are impressive. And the Traditional Workshop Experience — with crafts, storytelling, history, songs, dance, chocolates, juice and rakija — was absolutely magical! We had a wonderful time, and Ivan was so charming with our daughters who are 7 and 9.

Ivan was so accommodating. We missed our original booking due to flight delays and he squeezed us in the next day. He shared Croatian geography, history, and traditions with us, sang and played a traditional Croatian instrument, taught us two dances (well, he danced and we flailed), gave us chocolates and samples of traditional Rakija (honey, cherry, and walnut), showed us authentic regional costumes, and then let us create two handcrafted ornaments to take home. We are so glad we didn’t miss this! It truly was the highlight of our Balkan adventures.

I already went on their tour about Cratian writer Zagorka and I loved it, so I had high expectations for this one. I’m from Zagreb, but I still heard plenty of stories about the Upper Town that were new to me. The tour was interesting, easy to follow, and a really nice way to learn more about the city beyond the usual sights. I Definitely worth experiencing!

Contained within this museum are all the stories and many more which scared the crappers out of you as a child.

I had a great time. It was so slay and will definitely be going again tonight. Worth it for your money and the group leader is so nice. Period.
