Zagreb 2026 Calendar of Events

Great show! Authentic talk about croatian culture, live music and great folk dancing. Many dances shown and explained by the experts and lots of fun when we joined in guided by them. They are so happy to answer all questions. Simply the best we could experience in Zagreb.

As a Canadian of Croatian descent — and someone who was involved with Croatian folklore for decades — I’m extremely impressed with Hrvatska Kuća and Hearts of Zagreb. The displays are impressive. And the Traditional Workshop Experience — with crafts, storytelling, history, songs, dance, chocolates, juice and rakija — was absolutely magical! We had a wonderful time, and Ivan was so charming with our daughters who are 7 and 9.

Ivan was so accommodating. We missed our original booking due to flight delays and he squeezed us in the next day. He shared Croatian geography, history, and traditions with us, sang and played a traditional Croatian instrument, taught us two dances (well, he danced and we flailed), gave us chocolates and samples of traditional Rakija (honey, cherry, and walnut), showed us authentic regional costumes, and then let us create two handcrafted ornaments to take home. We are so glad we didn’t miss this! It truly was the highlight of our Balkan adventures.

I already went on their tour about Cratian writer Zagorka and I loved it, so I had high expectations for this one. I’m from Zagreb, but I still heard plenty of stories about the Upper Town that were new to me. The tour was interesting, easy to follow, and a really nice way to learn more about the city beyond the usual sights. I Definitely worth experiencing!

Contained within this museum are all the stories and many more which scared the crappers out of you as a child.

I had a great time. It was so slay and will definitely be going again tonight. Worth it for your money and the group leader is so nice. Period.

Amazing trip. Cave experience was unforgettable. This castle was much much better or interesting than Bled Castle. Very friendly and knowledgeable guide & driver.

Everything was excellent and the guide was super fantastic.

Frane, our tour guide, was excellent. He answered all of our questions promptly prior to our tour and tailored the tour to make it perfect for us. Along the drive, one person wasn’t feeling so hot, so Frane made an impromptu stop in a little village to get her something to eat and drink. We wanted to see everything that Plitvice Lakes had to offer, so Frane made sure we did the complete hike of the upper and lower lakes. It was quite a long hike but worth every step as you were surrounded by such beauty at every turn despite some spots being a bit crowded as we toured during the peak season. On our drive to Zadar, Frane gave us great tips regarding the remainder of our trip, and he even called a restaurant he suggested in Dubrovnik to make dinner reservations for us. This private tour was definitely a highlight of our entire Croatian trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Croatia!

We really enjoyed this museum. Very friendly welcome, the audio guides are great. We took the time to listen to everything and open all the drawers and hiding places. We highly recommend it.

Great trip, informative guide, well run and just enough time in both Ljubljana and Bled. Included a coffee and chocolate tasting too.

We had an absolutely wonderful wine tour from Zagreb! Our driver and guide, Tomislav, was friendly, knowledgeable and full of interesting information about the area.We started with a visit to Samobor, where we had time for a quick tour, a cup of coffee and a taste of a local dessert before heading into wine country. We then visited two wineries, and one of the highlights was having the opportunity to sit and talk directly with the winemakers. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the wines, but even more appreciated the time each winemaker spent sharing their wines, stories and passion with us.The entire day felt relaxed, personal and never rushed. Tomislav was an excellent guide throughout the experience and made the day even more enjoyable.
