That was absolutely fantastic! Our guide gave us an extensive explanation of the glacier, how it's formed, its peculiarities, the place's history, everything in a very clear and informative way. She drove us to the base of the glacier, and then we started our walk from there - it might look difficult, but it requires minimal ability - at a very calm pace, with everyone together at all times. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to see such an incredible formation from nearby.

We did this in September of 2026. Our Troll guide Erin was awesome. The tour is a bus ride to the glacier with about 12 people, then a bit of a hike, then you get to the glacier itself. Gear up with cleats, helmet and ice axe and up you go. Quite an experience. Would highly recommend it.

I can’t say enough about the level of professionalism of this tour company. Communication was perfect. Our guide Svanhvít was absolutely fantastic. Being a senior has its challenges. She was always astute whether I was comfortable or feeling apprehensive. She reached for my hand to help me when I felt less secure. I would recommend this company with an enthusiastic thumbs up. So well organized. Great guide! Great communication! Being a small group was fantastic!! And being on the glacier was an experience I’ll cherish.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Skaftafell ATV! Siggi and Eyrun were knowledgeable, welcoming, and terrific hosts from start to finish. They clearly know the area and did a great job making the experience both fun and adventurous.The course itself is ideal for anyone looking for a little excitement while taking in the incredible Icelandic landscape. We did the two hour tour and were glad to have the extra time to see more of the area. The equipment is new and in excellent condition, and they outfit each rider with exactly what is needed to enjoy the trip safely and comfortably.This was one of the highlights of our Iceland trip. Great hosts, excellent equipment, and a genuinely fun adventure. We would absolutely recommend Skaftafell ATV to anyone visiting the area!

We did the 3.5-hour glacier hike today and had a fantastic experience! Everything was very well organized.Our group was quite mixed in terms of experience and fitness levels, but our guide Tomasz handled it perfectly. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and created a great tour where everyone could enjoy the experience at their own pace.We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this glacier hike to anyone visiting Iceland!

Ultimate Iceland Airplane Tour from Skaftafell … Yes, it's a splurge — and worth every single króna. From the moment we lifted off, Iceland unfolded beneath us like something out of a dream: glaciers, craters and endless wild country stretching further than the eye could hold. I honestly needed ten pairs of eyes and a few extra brain cells to take it all in, it was that breathtaking.Our pilot was wonderful — warm, funny and utterly professional — and he did everything he could to make sure we saw it all, banking and circling so every one of us got the perfect view. Absolutely magical. If you're hesitating because of the price: don't. This is the flight you'll still be talking about years from now.

Highly recommend this experience, one of my highlights on my trip to Iceland! The guides were so knowledgable about glaciers and ice caves. Getting to see them in real life was jaw dropping. We got very clear instructions on how to wear the crampons which helped a lot on the ice and are easy to walk in. We felt very safe and even got professional photos taken of us with no extra charge!

Siggi the owner was my guide. The trip on a quiet foggy day is mystical through the black sand dunes and desert. Excellent history provided of the area. The flora is beautiful in this desert land. Crossing rivers and brooks. A lovely afternoon. Thank you.

We enjoyed this tour with our two children while traveling in Iceland and it was an absolute highlight! Meet-up at Glacier Lagoon was very easy and our guide (Guillermo) explained the process to us every step of the way so we knew what to expect. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the glacier and history of the area and took time to answer all of our questions. He was even super kind to our 10 year old who is a chatterbox and had all sorts of questions (beyond glacier-related topics). The tour definitely requires a decent degree of fitness, stamina, and ability to follow instructions to stay safe on the ice. Thank you so much Guillermo and Ice Explorers - we had the best time!

Fantastic flight that lets you see a multitude of landscapes. The glaciers and rainbow mountains are magnificent. We also had superb weather without a cloud and almost no wind. There were only 2 of us, so the flight was initially canceled, but the operator was able to give us a very attractive price so that we could take the same flight with a slightly faster plane. The person really did their best to find a solution.
