On Monday we had a fantastic 3 hr private tour of Canyon de Chelly with Leander Staley of Beauty Way Jeep Tours. Leander was terrific. He is a well read area native that is very knowledgeable of the history of the ruins, the hyrogliphics and the Navajo people. He clearly explains the history of each as well as the geology of the canyon. His aunt is one of many Navajos that still live and farm in the Canyon. During our tour we drove through the bottom of the canyon along the Chinle Wash (which was running water) and enjoyed the ruins, hyrogliphics, and beautiful scenery. It was a very enjoyable and worthwhile 3 hrs.

Cilla (may not be the correct name/spelling), was a great tour guide. She helped us understand more about the Navajo culture. It was a challenging drive because of the recent heavy rains, but she did an excellent job driving. We learned a lot and we really enjoyed our tour.

Great tour operator (Canyon De Chelly tours LLC 928-349-1600) we took a 3 hr jeep tour with a terrific guide Reggie. In 3 hrs we covered all the highlights of the canyon. Reggie was extremely knowledgable and eager to share his knowledge of the canyon history, its people and origins. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Be sure to use this operator and request Reggie as your guide. You won’t be disappointed!!

Very thorough and complete tour. Numerous opportunities for photography. Cannot see the canyon by driving the rim road. You have to get down in the canyon. Guide very knowledgeable and personable. Vehicle was very clean. Drive can be an experience if you never drove in the west. Can hot bring plenty of water.

Reggie was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared many stories and facts about his growing up in the Canyon with his family, particularly his grandmother who taught him many customs and traditions of his Navajo ancestors. He treated us to a short, haunting song on his flute at a spot where the echoes added to the enchantment. Anyone booking this tour should ask for Reggie.

Driver was professional and courteous. He provided regales of his childhood and personal experience growing up in the area, great background for the scenery. A great time

My husband Jim and I felt so lucky to have had Elsie as our Beauty Way tour guide yesterday. We could tell that she was still in love with Canyon de Chelly where she grew up and loved sharing it with us. She was a wonderful guide and thankfully an expert driver. What a great and informative morning we had! The tour was even better than my highly anticipated expectations!

What an amazing morning. The canyon is just stunning: the pictographs, petroglyphs and ruins were fabulous, but the highlight of the entire morning was listening to our guide recount her childhood memories of growing up in and around the canyon. She knew this place inside and out! We loved her stories passed down through multiple generations of family/ clan living in canyon. Irene, thank you for a truly memorable experience. Canyon de Chelly is a place we’ve always wanted to visit. It did not disappoint. Leone was an excellent guide. I really enjoyed her stories about the area. We definitely picked the right tour company.

Canyon de Chelly is a beautiful and sacred place. You have to see it to appreciate its profound impact We had an outstanding experience with tour guide Reginald. He was knowledgeable, personable and professional and an all around kind human.

Trip was with Beauty Way Jeep Tours. Our guide was Emily and she was excellent. Told us a lot about the history of Canyon de Chelly, drove the 4X4 Jeep into the canyon through muddy stream crossings and never missed a beat. Very confident young lady with a great personality. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend Beauty Way Jeep Tours (try to get Emily as your guide). Beauty Way Jeep Tours is a local company that is owned and operated by a Navajo family with roots in Canyon de Chelly and all of their guides live and work in the canyon.
