It was an amazing and memorable trip to Iceland. The day trip to the diamond beach and glacier with the boat ride is definitely a must do! Our guide was Lina , she was our guide for the entire trip including airport transfers. She is very prompt in communication so it was very easy to connect with her on WhatsApp before we even landed in Reykjavik. She was very knowledgeable and narrated the significance and importance of each and every single site we visited. She was also very flexible and took us to some additional attractions as she drove us to the attractions

Gorgeous Locations- Great Tour!
Everything was wonderful! The van Sultan picked us up in was very nice, and he was a safe but effective driver, getting us to each location in great time. The locations themselves were absolutely beautiful and he even added another stop or two since we had some extra time. Highly recommend!

For offroad Iceland trips, He’s the best
y family recently did a Þórsmörk tour with Freysteinn and it was a great experience. We also have a special needs son who was with us, and Freysteinn was very accommodating and great with him. As an experienced off-roader from the US, I was very impressed with his trail skills and attention to detail and safety. Not surprisingly, he’s been wheeling since his teens and it’s very apparent when you see him traversing some brutal river crossings. Overall he’s a great guy that you’ll enjoy spending time with and learning more about Iceland and its culture. Although there are a number of options for off-road trips in Iceland (which we initially explored), I’m glad we went with Freysteinn and would highly recommend him.

Unforgettable Experience with Sultan and Island Paradise Tours! We had an absolutely incredible experience with Island Paradise Tours! Our group of 12 booked a tour to Diamond Beach and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Sultan, was exceptional. Even though we started a bit late in the morning, he was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and completely stress-free about it. Throughout the entire journey, he was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our large group was comfortable. The best part? Sultan surprised us by making several unplanned stops at stunning hidden gems along the way that we never would have found on our own. The cost of the tour was also very reasonable, especially given the top-tier service and personal attention we received. Our entire group truly enjoyed every moment and had a fantastic time. You are truly in good hands with Sultan and Island Paradise Tours. Highly recommended!!

We arranged a family glacier hike while we were staying in Iceland and it was without doubt one of the best things we have done as a family. From the moment we booked, Julien the founder at Lilja Tours, was exceptionally responsive and helpful to any questions that we had ahead of the trip. Wei was our guide on the day and that man truly loves what he does and was so knowledgeable about Iceland's outdoors. We were exceptionally fortunate to be paired with him. Siggi was an excellent tour guide who regaled us with stories about life in Iceland. We left our hotel in Reykjavik promptly and went directly to the KATLA ICE CAVES beating the tourist rush. The caves and glacier experience was singularly great and unforgettable. We then drove on the BLACK SAND BEACH to lunch at Smidjan in Vik. On the way back, we stopped at waterfalls and scenic spots. Highly recommend this company. Ask for Siggi!!!

I have used VoiceMap tours before, and when I visited Vik I discovered that there were a tour available. It was nice, but I would have wanted it to be a round trip. Parking by the church is ideal, but when you have ended the tour at the beach, you need to walk the same way back. Not that it was a problem, but anyway.. Lucky for me, it was good weather, and as I learned about Vik in the app, I could discover other things on my own at the way back - for instance the shopping center. Good guiding with nice information and clear directions in the app. Thanks!

I found Walter on Cool Destinations while planning our Iceland stop on a cruise from Southampton. We were traveling from Bermuda aboard the Norwegian Prima, and from the very first message, Walter felt like someone we could count on. He stayed in touch for months to sort out the plans, always quick to respond, always accommodating. By the time we met in person it felt like greeting an old friend.We spent two days touring with him. One exploring the South Coast from Reykjavík and the other touring the Reykjanes Peninsula before heading to KEF. Everything went smoothly. Walter took care of every detail. He showed up with water and snacks, made sure we were all comfortable and well fed and somehow made the day feel both exciting and easy. He taught us Icelandic along the way, had us practicing words like fjall, foss, jökull, and of course Hekla. He told us the stories behind the land, the volcanoes, the waterfalls…he brought Iceland to life for us in such a beautiful way.Walter has this calm and generous energy that makes you feel instantly at ease. We laughed, we learned and we felt completely cared for from start to finish.By the end of our trip, Walter didn’t feel like a tour guide. He felt like family. If he ever comes to Bermuda, we would welcome him with open arms. What he gave us was more than just a tour. It was a memory we’ll hold onto for a very long time.Takk fyrir, Walter. Hjartans þakkir. My sister and I booked both airport pickup and a south coast tour with Walter, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Walter was ready to pick us up right when we landed, and he was friendly and helpful throughout the day. He handled our flight delay and a hotel mixup with grace, and he was more than willing to accommodate our questions and interests on the south coast tour. The south coast tour was impressive. We saw amazing waterfalls, the black sand beach, puffins, and more. Walter was very knowledgeable about every area we visited, and he knew a great spot for us to eat along the way. He is a safe driver, a fun tour guide, and a kind person. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him in the future should we ever return to Iceland!

It was a true stroke of extreme luck that Hotel Ranga arranged our pickup and first day Golden Circle Tour with FG Private Tours (aka "Fred"). He was EXCEPTIONAL in every way (SO MUCH SO THAT WE ARRANGED TO HAVE HIM WITH US SEVERAL MORE DAYS!). Fred was MUCH more than a driver (though he's great at that - both skilled and weather/safety-aware -- with multiple vehicles to accommodate whatever the day's activities involved and however much "stuff" you'll have with you!). Fred was more than a typical Guide - extremely knowledgeable, of course, but beyond that he shared with us so much of what makes Iceland Iceland, what the culture and even family life is like, and more. We learned so much from him that elevated and enriched our trip, and he was so friendly and open that his stories often had us in stitches. He was also incredibly proactive, going beyond whatever the day's "job" was -- he saved us from being stranded in a remote "dome" with no food by checking out the property ahead of time and learning that there wasn't a place to get food nearby (contrary to the property's claims). He took us out of the way to pick up food to take with us (thank goodness!) and did this sort of thing a number of times. He even went back to a previous hotel to pick up a power cord I had left behind! Fred was the BEST guide we've had anywhere in the world -- truly. You can't go wrong working with Fred!

Incredibly positive experience - highly recommended
What an increcibly positive experience! We had the Thórsmörk day hike, a combination of super-jeep tour and a few hikes. Our guide (Siggi) was superb: Highly competent geologist, who profoundly answered all our (many!) questions regarding volcanos, glaciers, rivers, icelandic history. Plus, he had great fun in driving his adventure-jeep through rivers.We did three hikes in total, one lonely waterfall with some quite technical passages, the beautiful Thorsmörk mountain peak and finally an impressive canyon - each of these wouldn't have been possible for us without a guide, each of these were wonderful and unique experiences.The tour (and especially Siggi!) is a five-star recommendation - and we will definitely book it!!
