It was a wonderful and calming experience. Getting told about the history, experiencing the tea ceremony and making your own tea was part of this lovely class ! If it’s possible take some time in Osaka for this.

Had a wonderful Japanese home cooking experience with Hisako and Naoko. They gave us detailed instruction on each recipe and meal, were very kind helping my children follow along. They were also very informative giving us tips on sightseeing and shopping. Was happy that we were able to select our own menu and the food was delicious. I was even inspired to buy a pan for rolled eggs to bring back with me home. I would definitely recommend this experience, it was great intimate class for my family of 5, my kids are 11,13 and 17.

This was an amazing experience, from booking to finish a complete session. The class was awesome, the ladies were fantastic and patient teachers. Our group of five (you wouldn’t want any more than 5) had a great time and learnt some new skills… Highly recommend this experience as you won’t be disappointed, also, don’t eat much before you go, you cook a very generous lunch!

10/10 Expeirence! Naomi-san and Hisako-san were so kind, patient, and knowledgeable about Japan. The cooking experience was south fun, the food was delicious, and the quality of the kimono experience was so much higher than a lot of the other kimono rentals we explored. Would highly recommend for a fun, personalized activity.

Naoko and Hisako were so friendly and were kind enough to cater to my gluten-free diet. Definitely a great experience if you find yourself in Osaka. The two of them are great cooks and very informative!

We booked this experience because we love Japanese food and wanted to learn how to make it ourselves, and it easily became the highlight of our trip! Hisako and Naoko were extremely kind and welcoming and offered us dozens of Japanese home cooking tips that we would have never found out by just following recipes online! We had so much fun cooking and constructing bento boxes and will absolutely use everything we learned in the future. If you are in Osaka and love food/cooking, we cannot recommend this experience enough!

My partner and I had a wonderful time learning Japanese home cooking with Hisako and Naoko. The two hosts were incredibly friendly, warm and kind, making the experience truly enjoyable.We chose the ginger pork meal with miso soup, tamagoyaki and onigiri, which was all delicious. The recipes were provided in both English and Japanese, so we can recreate the dishes at home. We also had a lot of fun making the dessert.We highly recommend this class to anyone looking to learn Japanese cooking.

This is the best experience we have had in Japan, these two beautiful ladies gave us such a personal experience in their home. The cooking experience was fabulous very hands on, we also got to eat everything. The kimono and photo shoot was such fun . The memories of these two ladies and the experience they gave us was 100%. They went above and beyond with everything. Highly recommend doing this.

Naoko and Hisako were really awesome hosts! We didn't realize it was a private experience until arriving, so that was a pleasant surprise. They quickly gave us a quick education about kimonos and similar garments. Then we discussed the cooking menu.They prepared a pot of rice. But we did the rest of the cooking! They walked us through the preparation of a delicious Osaka-style omelet, filled rice balls, miso soup, and marinated pork cutlet. All the food was delicious, and they sent us home with our recipe sheets.After the meal was over, they dressed us in our kimonos and did a very professional feeling photo shoot. It was a great experience. We would do it again to try learning new dishes. The hospitality of Naoko and Hisako was unmatched. My fiancé and I enjoy cooking, but I don't think you need any cooking experience to enjoy this.

I considered doing the tea ceremony at a ‘big name hotel’ but it was booked and boy am I glad it was! I believe that fate allowed me to join this great group of diverse people for a very intimate and educational experience. My husband had zero interest in tea ceremonies so I went alone. I felt very safe and comfortable. I tend to get lost easily so my husband and I scouted out the location the night before. It is probably easy to find for normal people but as I said I get lost easily so I was glad we did the dry run. Our instructor was so gracious and did everything possible to ensure everyone was comfortable. I learned a lot and feel like I learned more in this smaller setting than I would have at the brand hotel ceremony. Our instructor talked a lot about the day to day life of people in her neighborhood and how the tea ceremony education starts very early. She also talked about how it is ever evolving. Her knowledge was vast and fascinating. The tea was delicious as were the treats. And there was opportunity to purchase some items to take with you. I loved this experience and would highly recommend it.

Fun to learn about the traditions of the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Well crafted class! Easy to find and didn't take too long!

Wonderful experience! We learned a lot about the beautiful tea ceremony and had a lovely time. Before our visit, I was a little concerned about having to sit in the traditional pose, but they have little stools for those who can't manage that. The tea was quite nice and the sweet treat was beautiful as well as tasty.

The tea ceremony was very nice. Our ceremony was held by Mayumi and Akiko who were both very polite and friendly. Overall an amazing experience.
