It was a lovely quaint village where the narrator did a fantastic job of walking us through and bringing us into the settings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time!!

A central fort, and later castle that has stood since the Renaissance in Denmark. In the 1400s, the Danes built Helsingør Castle. The castle and castle have been expanded over the centuries with larger and more solid fortifications and walls. When the Danish kings were near, they held court, and dealt with political matters. The castle was also a central strategic port fortress during the Great Nordic War. The exhibition could put a little more emphasis on the conflict lines in Scandinavia through the centuries.Shakespeare’s Hamlet is added to Helsingør Castle, in English “Elsinore”.

Nice city tour by bike. Good storyteller, but many historical monuments were visited. Can recommend..

It was a great experience to visit Helsingør while listening such interesting stories. It made the town and castle even more magical!

Our base camp: 'Hotel Skandia' The house dates from 1903 - but everything inside is gradually being raised to today's level. Our room (223) was spacious, clean and modernly furnished. The breakfast had everything you need. As everywhere in Denmark, English is understood in the hotel. If you're lucky - and Thomas is at the reception - German too.If you arrive by car, you should request a parking space from the hotel (it was free) or use the 24-hour parking lot behind the shipyard. On Sundays, parking is possible everywhere without time restrictions.The location is absolutely great - opposite the train station and ferry terminal. 5 minutes to the main shopping street and an ideal starting point for the city walk to all the historical sights. Our tip: separate Kronborg Castle from the city tour.Asian dinner right downstairs or a short walk to the city center with many restaurants and bars. If you like something funny, we recommend Værftets Madmarked. A hall full of street food from all over the world.You can reach Copenhagen in 55 minutes by train. (approx. 10€ one way) Trains seem to run 100 times a day.

Well explained with good GPS navigation. Almost didn’t need to take the phone out of my pocket. The ice cream shop is definitely worth a visit.

We travelled by train using our Copenhagen card to Helsingnor. The castle was a short walk & magnificent, the guides were great & the interpretation was good, lovely the ball room & lavish parties & adult dress up room. Shop & tea room were good. Loved the tea.

Hamlet was performed here several times. 40 minutes from Copenhagen, the castle is very interesting visiting. Beautiful landscape at the seashore.
