Top Ubud Cooking Classes

This review is not for the Bali Cooking Class portion as I opted not to participate given how I was feeling on the day. My guide, Putu, was incredibly accommodating and instead took me to various locations in the Ubud area that were not in the original plan: Yan Yan Silver, Dewa Putu Toris Gallery, Batuan Temple, Cantik Coffee Plantation, and then we made our way to the Sacred Monkey Forest! What an incredibly fun and interesting day that Putu designed mostly on-the-fly!Putu is kind, super knowledgeable and happy to share information about Balinese history and culture. He's also happy to take pictures! I had such a great time that I booked Online Bali Driver and Putu to take me up to north Bali a few weeks later. Putu drove me the four hours from Denpasar to Buleleng Regency. He even came to pick me up and take me back to Denpasar. During our road trip, Putu kept me informed about the beautiful sites I was seeing. He made stops at places of interest without me having to ask. We had the best day ....we are on a girls trip from Australia and couldn't have asked for a better day, our driver that pick us up (Ponk) was so great, 5 ⭐️ for sure, showing us around and sharing with us info about the culture and the people......A great way to spend the day...... a couple of the girls were a bit sceptical at first but were so happy they did it.....a thoroughly enjoyable day 5⭐️ 💗

This was a really fun activity We were picked up and dropped back at the hotel Putri met us in the market which was a good introduction to the ingredients The class was great and easy We made a delicious meal and especially enjoyed making our pancake dessert They cater for vegetarian too

An amazing experience! My guide was very kind and hospitable, answering every question I had. The cooking class was great, and they even give you a cookbook at the end so you can remake the dishes at home. A great way to explore Ubud and learn more about the culture (and eat amazing food!).

My friends and I had the best time with Putu!! The market tour and cooking class were probably one of our favorite Bali experiences. We are so grateful to Putu for opening her home to us. She introduced us to Balinese food and recipes, and also gave us a glimpse into family, personal lives, and religious and cultural traditions. I would absolutely recommend this experience to everyone. If I come back to Bali, I would definitely enjoy another visit with her!

This cooking class is set in a rural village in beautiful tranquil Ubud, at the family property. It’s very peaceful and outdoors amongst the gardens. Please allow a half day if you’re including the market tour as you also cook five dishes. Aldo the driver was prompt and Putri the chef showed us around the market and also demonstrated the cooking class. Putri is very friendly and lovely and is patient with us. Agung did the ingredients preparation and the cleaning up. We really enjoyed ourselves and I would thoroughly recommend this class to anyone wanting the rural peaceful experience.

Aldo our driver was on time at our hotel pick up. He gave us an amazing commentary on the way to the market. He introduced us to Chef Putri who showed us around the market where all the ingredients are sourced. Aldo then drove us to the home of the cooking class. Putri was an amazing chef and explained everything to us as we made 5 delicious dishes from scratch. We really enjoyed ourselves and Agung was there to prepare the ingredients and clean up. The location was perfect in a rural setting in Ubud and peaceful and homely. We weren’t hurried or pressured to finish. The time to allow for this class is half day. We were collected at 7am and returned to our hot about 1pm allowing for traffic. I would thoroughly recommend this cooking class and would definitely do it again.

We had such a great day. Our driver Putu was awesome and made us feel welcome right from the start all the way to the end. He was very knowledgeable answering questions too. The cooking class was fun and we made some delicious dishes. The rice terraces were beautiful and the monkey forest was so much fun.

Putu, Pashka and Made hosted my wife and I to a great cooking class. To be welcomed into the family compound was an honour. Putu described the compound layout and architecture aswell as diving deep into the gods which Putu offers everyday. We prepared six meals which all tasted fantastic because of the depth that Putu taught in traditional techniques. I seldom review anything on the internet. I genuinely recommend this Balinese cooking class.

It was a great experience with a cozy kitchen and friendly staff (Putri and Ahgung). Food also tasted great.

I love this cooking class very much. Very nice to meet Putri in our bali trip and she taught us a tradition Balinese food and we were having great time in Lesung.

Great experience today with Bali Sun Tours! Juni (with the 'June' tattoo on his fingers) was a very friendly and easy-going driver. It was nice to chat with him about all kinds of stuff and he gave us some good recommendations for the remainder of our stay. On top of that he went the extra mile to take us to places that were not part of our original itinerary. It made our day even more memorable.
