Fantastic. David was kind smart talented full of knowledge of the area and foods. Brought strangers together for 3 hrs and we loved every second. His wife Anna helped at the end. What a joy! We feel like we made friends for life!

This cooking class was one of the highlights of our trip! David was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, personable, and easy to understand, with excellent English. He began the experience by taking us through the local seafood market, where we learned about the region’s fresh ingredients before heading to the cooking class.We prepared an incredible multi-course meal featuring delicious fresh seafood, paella, and a traditional Santiago cake that we baked ourselves. Enjoying wine while we cooked made the experience even more fun and relaxed. Everything was delicious, and the combination of the market tour, hands-on cooking, and David’s local expertise made it feel especially authentic.I would highly recommend this excursion!

Experiencing Galician cuisine in A Coruña this way felt truly special — intimate, joyful, and full of character. I loved every moment. David has the kind of warm, open personality that dissolves any nerves within seconds. I arrived alone, the sole participant, and as someone who can be a little socially shy, I’d wondered whether it might feel awkward. Instead, I found myself instantly at ease. He’s a natural storyteller, full of fascinating anecdotes, and his passion for food — for ingredients, traditions, flavours, the sheer pleasure of cooking — shines through everything he does. Wandering through the market with him was a delight: colourful stalls, lively chatter, and his infectious enthusiasm guiding the way. And then the cooking and eating… both an absolute joy. He even sent the recipes afterwards, so I could simply enjoy the experience without scribbling notes. I’d go back in a heartbeat — and next time, I’d love to bring my daughter. I’m certain she’d be just as enchanted by it all.

This was a truly fabulous experience from start to finish! Visiting the vibrant local market in A Coruña was a massive highlight— we walked through the stalls filled with incredible fresh seafood and local ingredients, we taught great tips and heard local stories along the way.Afterward, we headed to the kitchen space for a fully hands-on cooking session. We prepared and ate all sorts of wonderful local shellfish and classic paella. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole group feel right at home. If you are visiting the area, do not miss this amazing workshop!

We really enjoyed the opportunity to eat fresh shellfish straight from the market -- not typically possible where we live. Davide and Ana are wonderful hosts, and the experience was very hands on.

The host were awesome. It was exciting to go to the market to buy all the fresh ingredients and then cook the food.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The trip to the market, the food and cooking, the kitchen, the location and most of all David the Chef were all amazing. We could not recommend highly enough that if you are in the Coruna area doing this cooking class.

This was such a unique and wonderful experience. The market was fascinating and then coming back to cool together was fun and interesting! I need to eat gluten free and they could accommodate me without making me feel left out!

David was an incredible host and teacher! Our son, Jeremy, my husband and myself so enjoyed going with him to the market and getting supplies to make our meal. Having him guide us through making the meal was so much fun! He even got the “fish-hesitant” member of our group to eat all kinds of fish and like them! We also loved meeting his lovely wife! We also loved hearing about David’s other ventures!

Lots of fun. A short walk to a big market full of seafood and other stuff, then back to cooking place. We ate all sorts ofsmall sea creatures and paella,

David and Fiona were perfect hosts and their multi use space was great for our small cooking class. 6 of us sat around the kitchen counter cutting, mixing, and preparing our meal after a field trip to the local three story market to purchase fresh clams, mussels, scallops, calamari, chicharrones, tomatoes, cheese and bread. The appetizers were fresh off the stove or out of the oven, except the tomatoes and quince which were perfect to accompany the seafoods, each appetizer delicious as the last. David kept cooking the paella and we moved from our counter seats to the large table for the main course. It was delicious and washed down with generous pours of sangria. We had Santiago cake for desert that two of our class made. My mouth still waters as I think of all the great food and I smile as I think of the fun and experience. Ciao

David and Ana are very welcoming, and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience. We loved visiting the market, making delicious dishes that we had not tried before, and meeting like-minded, friendly people.
