Wicklow 2026 Calendar of Events

Possibly one of the most fun days of my life! Had the loveliest of mares to ride, all the horses were sure footed and well behaved. You couldn't ask for more fun and charming guides than Ray and Lisa, lovely people who knew their stuff. My friend group consisted of an experienced rider, an intermediate and a beginner and our levels were catered for. Rode through beautiful land, woods, lake shores with mountain views and out to a little island where we even got to witness a marriage proposal! We enjoyed it so much we have booked a return date. I'd highly recommend this tour!

We had a private guided tour of Russborough house, its rooms, history, families and artwork. Gabriella was brilliant. It makes all the difference to have a professional knowledgeable tour guide. We highly recommend a private tour of this awesome property and art. It rivals museums we have visited.

Great experience riding trails through beautiful countryside. They accommodate different levels of experience and let you do what you are confortable with.

A wonderful experience both for the House Tour & walks around the parkland. Exceptional art & furniture.

Lovely parkland walk. Not too long even for my 83 old mother. The house tour was super interesting and being c50 mins was perfectly timed. Our tour guide, George, was excellent. Very relaxed and friendly and demonstrate a very detailed knowledge of the house and contents. Some of the rooms are breath taking and a joy to see preserved. Great value at €16 per adult. Relaxed in the cafe after which have an excellent choice of for and snacks. A great place for a 2-3 hour visit.

We did the Twilight Tour recently. It was a fabulous experience. Everything was amazing . Art , furniture & rooms which were lit by candles & decorated for Christmas . Emer our guide was excellent… passionate about everything… She was a fount of information which she delivered with clarity & in a charming manner . Thanks to everyone. Daphne Egar

Very friendly staff very welcoming, nothing was a problem. Super nice setting , caters for all abilities.

We had a great time trekking around the countryside with Ray and the rest of the group! We had my two boys, aged 9 and 11, along with my 70 year old dad with us and we were all well attended to, even as beginners. They put my youngest son on a lead line which gave me comfort and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We had a fabulous guide, George, he made the house come to life with his stories, definitely worth a visit.

I could not fault my experience. If your taste runs to Rococo and Baroque architecture, furniture and paintings, then you won't get better in Ireland. The particular guide who showed us round was one of the beat I've ever encountered: clear, informed, educated, professional, friendly.I am disabled and. having reserved the wheelchair the day before, for my partner to push me round, had a front-row 'seat' at all times. The shop is one of the best at any 'culture vulture' location and the cafe sells only superb home-made food. A glorious experience

Guided tour is a must 5/5 Wonderful day out, easily spend 3-4 hours comfortably here, guided tour takes up to an hour. You are moved from room to room with the information officer and there are a few steps. The guide talks through the history of the house, its previous owners and the story behind the paintings that are still held in Russborough. I’ve done this tour three times over the past few years and still learn something new at every visit. They have land outside where you can go for a garden walk. There’s a shop attached to the house and it is well worth a gander. You’ll find Irish jewellery, kimonos, knitwear, wooden children’s toys as well as some kitchen ware. The cafe has really been revamped and the tables have glass tops with pressed flowers and other fun items to look at. Overall a wonderful places. Highly recommend to all ages

I always look for the kind of mood I had today with the horses and people around me, thanks to the girls, they fertilized the fields right here after stopping with freshly picked blackberries, beautiful horses, beautiful surroundings, water, freedom, I look forward to coming back again

We had a wonderful experience! Ray and his staff were incredibly helpful and patient. My daughter was nervous, but they were so kind and made sure she felt comfortable and had just as much fun as everyone else. Whether you’re a beginner or have plenty of experience, they do a fantastic job of making sure everyone feels confident and has a great time. You can’t beat the scenery! We would definitely recommend it and will likely come back the next time we visit.

We had a fantastic ride this morning, would definitely recommend for some amazing scenery, very experienced and friendly team and the key focus of the session was for everyone to ride as they wanted, it was a really enjoyable riding experience. Loads of cantering which was fun and a variety of terrain during the trek. Virgina and Lucy were fantastic horses and lots of fun to ride.

Such a fun and great ride. We were happy that it was suitable for experienced riders as well, and the tour guides were amazing at filming and taking lots of pictures to memories the experience.
