We went on this excursion a while ago but since we’re still recommending it, I figured I’d give it a review. This was a really magical experience for us. It was a little bit of a scary experience with walking the boat out before getting in. Overall it was a very good experience. The guides were able to help us adjust settings in our phones to actually capture the bioluminescence. This was really helpful because I was so excited to see it and was completely immersed in bioluminescence but sitting behind my partner, I was not even able to share my experience with him. Being able to have some kind of memory captured was very nice.

The experience was far beyond what I had expected. Visiting the bioluminescent bay was truly a magical and unforgettable experience. Seeing the water light up with every movement was absolutely incredible—it felt like paddling through a sky full of stars. Our guide, Javier, was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the science and history behind the bioluminescence. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to answer all our questions made the experience even more enjoyable. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, the glowing water, and Javier’s excellent guidance made this an experience I will remember for a long time. I highly recommend this bioluminescent bay tour to anyone visiting Puerto Rico. It is definitely something you have to experience for yourself!

The experience was more than you could imagine. We met in a lot which was fine but then had to get into a van which was disgusting. The inside room was falling down as well as garbage in van, think goodness it was dark otherwise I do not think I would have rode in it. Our guide was fabulous during our adventure.

Excellent Tour of the bio bay! Meeting spot was spot on and with the 7:15p tour we were able to make the Ferry back with 45minutes yet to spare!

The bioluminescence experience is amazing. We do not kayak (or exercise much for that matter) and we had no problem at all (we are 60 and 75). Our guide, Leo, was an absolute jewel. He even taught us how to use our camera phone to capture the experience. Please book on a moonless night. It will make all the difference. The team was absolutely on top of things: there was a weather change and they notified us with plenty of time to join an earlier group. Overall: Highly recommend! The one thing is that to get to the experience, it feels almost like Planes, Trains and automobiles. If you are coming from San Juan, it may be worth it to fly (we took the ferry and it was a fine experience, but the logistics were insane: renting a car, driving, parking the car, getting the ferry, renting another car and then driving to the meet up).

It was so much fun. Our guide, Leo, was so friendly and knowledgeable about the bay. Would definitely do this tour again.

This was such a beautiful experience! The clear kayaks is a must because you can see the lights under you! Our guide was Javier and he was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and made us feel safe and comfortable considering we were rowing in the dark. Booking this excursion is a must!

Amazing experience, if you going with kids, they definitely will have fun.

It was great. Very bright. Guides were great and very informative. We even got an astronomy lesson. Go when it's darkest, around a new moon if possible.

Great experience! If you travel with an odd group, the extra person will pair up with someone else (everyone on the tour was nice). The clear kayak bottoms are beautiful to see the bioluminescence when you're kayaking through the water (disturbing the water is what makes it so that you can see them).You don't need to pack bug spray (or just get reef safe options) as the bay wasn't super bug-y. Wearing darker clothes with a swimsuit under would also be preferred as the dinoflagellates appear best when it's completely dark.

Our family had a wonderful time on our kayak tour. We met up in a parking lot and they drove us to the kayak location. Our guide explained everything and took us out to the middle of the bay where we were able to paddle around and see the magical glow. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience, moonless night with bright bioluminescence and many stars.

Was an amazing experience with a group of 6! The transportation and the driver were wonderful, accommodating, communicative, and professional. Anak , Joe, and lil Leo made the excursion more comfortable and enjoyable. Being nature dependent and possibly hazardous having the salty spirit was impeccable. Despite going on a majority full moon night with minimal cloud coverage we got an amazing bio luminous show. Kayaks were stable and the entire experience was comfortable! Can’t wait to return on a new moon!

Leo was great! The tour was very cool to and the stars were absolutely beautiful. Although kayaking was kinda scary to me I think the tour was great, informative and worth the money!
