Most excellent wine tour!
Jaime led us on a most excellent tour of two small family wineries in Ribera del Duero. His additional explanations of the history of the area were excellent as well

Great tour!
Nuria was knowledgeable and friendly. She described the history and culture of her native city in an approachable and understandable way. Encountering a couple of her friends and relatives along the way was a bonus – I felt like I was part of the city. This was a wonderful tour.

A Masterclass in Ribera del Duero, Led by Someone Who Truly Loves It
We took this private Ribera del Duero wine tour in late November and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were picked up directly from our hotel in Burgos and spent the day visiting three very different wineries, capped off with a memorable spit-roasted leg of lamb served in an old castle. What stood out most was how thoughtfully the wineries were selected. Each visit was clearly customized to the type of wine experience and purchasing interest I had. The three wineries differed in style, production approach, history, and price point, yet together they gave a well-rounded understanding of Tempranillo and Ribera del Duero as a whole. It felt intentional rather than formulaic. The day ran from about 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and because it was just my wife and me, the pace was relaxed and personal. Our driver and guide, Jaime, truly made the experience exceptional. We’ve done wine tours in Argentina, Uruguay, and other parts of Spain, and this ranked among the best—largely because of him. Jaime clearly loves what he does and is a natural educator. He’s deeply proud of Spain and shared insightful context about Spanish history, culture, and wine throughout the day, which added real depth to the experience.I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore beyond the more well-known Rioja region. Ribera del Duero is more rural and feels less traveled, which was part of its charm. This would be especially appealing to serious Ribera del Duero wine fans, honeymooners, or anyone interested in learning more about wine in an immersive, unhurried way. Communication and payment were both easy and straightforward from start to finish. Highly recommended.

A great week of wine and exploration
Thanks to Rebeca and team - Robert, Fito, and Enrique - for a great 6-day tour of Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines and Basque Country exploration. The winery visits were a premium experience - just our group of 4 people spending time with the wine makers, their families, and having gourmet dining experiences in the wineries was amazing. Having toured many wineries in France, Italy and the States, we enjoyed learning about the customs and practices that make Rioja and Ribera wines distinct and delicious. Having a small group experience allowed us to visit unique wineries and understand more of the wine making history in the area in ways you could not do with a large group... We visited wineries in local caves, experimental wineries, and explored locations off the beaten path. Our group liked the concept booking our own hotels, based on Rebeca's recommendations, to allow our group to control this part of our experience. We also enjoyed spending time at Rebeca and Roberts home as friends for a local meal and sampling their family wines. This was a week of great experiences not to be missed.

An epic adventure through Rioja and Ribera de Duero with people who know people!
As part of a month long journey through Spain my husband and I wanted to learn more about the Rioja and Ribera del Duero wine regions, as wines from those areas are some of our favorites. I came across Rebeca’s website/business, Rioja Like A Native and immediately felt her passion and enthusiasm for sharing the local culture of the area where she grew up and still lives today. From the moment I began inquiring about her tours, Rebeca was extremely responsive, and thorough with her communication. (And she just seemed like a genuinely nice person when communicating). She wanted to know your interests so that she could tailor the experience where necessary, so all we had to do was jump in the car with our guide and enjoy.Rebeca coordinated a private transfer from San Sebastián to Logrono, the starting point of our 2 Day tour of Rioja, as we were traveling Spain without a car, and she advised us local train would have taken much longer and did not have a direct route. Her driver Jose was so lively and fun and made the drive pass quickly. We booked one of her hotel recommendations which was conveniently located in the old town section in Logrono and walkable to all the good tapas bars and restaurants. The next morning we were promptly met by Fito who was our local guide for the 2 day Rioja adventure. Fito didn’t feel like your typical “guide” who is trained to provide specific facts or information, he felt more like a good friend who was driving you around his area, talking to you about his favorite places, and who knows about and enjoys good wine and food. While our adventure primarily included visiting 5 different styles of wineries, it never felt like we were bouncing from one winery to another and doing the same thing at each—-each one had something different to offer, or a surprise of sorts. In addition to tasting a variety of wines, we tasted some typical foods from the area during some of our wine tastings, had lunch in the medieval town of LaGuardia, and just enjoyed the ride with Fito through some beautiful Rioja scenery. One of the highlights our Rioja adventure was wrapping up our 2nd day with a home cooked late afternoon lunch at Rebeca’s house with her, her husband Robert, and cute dog Taino, and putting our new found Rioja wine knowledge to the test in front of them! We sampled some of their family’s wine too, enjoyed hearing about their adventures throughout their own country, and any advice they had for us as we continued our adventure throughout Spain. They truly made us feel like friends at their dinner table, not just their clients. After our Rioja adventure we were picked up early at our hotel by Bruno who whisked us away to the Ribera del Duero which was about a 2 hour car ride from Logrono to our first winery. Bruno came prepared with breakfast treats, beverages and a wealth of knowledge of the wine region to fill our travel time. At our first winery, we had an unexpected tasting. After doing the private tour and high-end wine tasting in their restaurant’s dining room, complete with sweeping views of the vineyards, we thought it couldn’t get any better. We were then presented with the most delicious series of tapas which felt more like a coursed lunch, a truly lovely and relaxing experience while enjoying the epic views. But that wasn’t the real lunch. Next, Bruno drove us to another town where we actually went to “lunch”at restaurant known for a regional specialty, oven roasted Castilian Lamb which was a food highlight for us on our trip to Spain. After our tours and lunching, Bruno dropped us at our hotel in Madrid and kindly texted us later that evening to see if we needed any restaurant or other recommendations for our stay in Madrid or throughout Spain.Even if we had a car while traveling in Spain, without Rebeca and her team of locals we would not have found these interesting and unique experiences on our own. Our 3 day adventure through Rioja and Ribera de Duero was one of the most memorable parts of our trip, and our lives for that matter. It was most certainly enhanced by the local knowledge of Rebeca, Robert, Fito and Bruno, and equally important the great company, kindness, and care they extended to us along the way.

Great Day in the Duero
What a great day with the wonderful host Bruno. Learned a lot about this stellar wine growing region. Surprising practices and history surrounding this wine growing area are truly fascinating. If you are considering a tour from a small group to big corporate event, look no further than Bruno and TWT.

An amazing personal tour of the Ribera del Duero Region with the passionate Bruno
We had an absolutely amazing two-day private tour with Bruno through the beautiful wine region of Ribera del Duero. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional, friendly, and very passionate about the region and its wines.Bruno took care of everything seamlessly. His deep knowledge of the history, the people, the culture and the wines of the region made the journey even more special. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and we truly felt immersed in the culture and flavours of Ribera del Duero. His warm, personable approach combined with his secret singing skills made us feel like we were enjoying the tour with an close friend. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a unique and memorable tour, I highly recommend booking with Bruno. This was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to return!

Unique and exceptional wine and food experience
The Ribera wineries chosen for our experience were individually unique and with terrific attention. Rather then go to the obvious vineyards, Rebecca and Bruno, selected ones that were off the radar. One of the vineyards wines are not even available in the US but we have shipped these wines home since then. Our tour was well organized. Rebecca made excellent suggestions in preparing for our day with Bruno. Bruno provided us with the history of the region and an in-depth of many of the vineyards in the area. Each vineyard provided an extensive tour; from the vine to the bottle labeling process. We took a mid afternoon break to eat the best “Cordero lechal” and ankther amazing wine in a well known restaurant. After our feast, one of the owners daughters gave us a tour of the kitchen and showed us how they prepped their main dish, lamb from start to finish. We finished our tour at the vineyard, Lubiana. Wow, what a gem!! The owners took us through the making of their vineyard and their wine-making process. Did I mention the cheeses? Another amazing experience in cheese-tasting. The only regret was not spending more time. One day was not enough. A huge thanks to the experienced Bruno- he is so well connected and made us feel like we were his best clients. A must!!!

Great day for a Family trip and Birthday Celebration
We had an amazing experience. I did this tour with my family on my birthday and it was everything we wanted. We visited several wineries with Rebeca and she was super nice and the people we met in the wineries super knowledgable. One winery even accommodate us on their off day! which was great. Overall great day, I would recommend this tour to anyone willing to spend a day drinking excellent wine and learning about it.

If you are going to do it, do it right.
We had a wonderful experience. The guide-driver was always on time, very courteous and "simpatico" if you know what I mean. The guide was very knowledgeable about everything relative to the wine culture and we visited several bodegas going from the experimental to the ultra-modern. In addition, we visited castles and lookouts for the best photos, and we ate at great restaurants. We couldn't ask for more.

A beautiful, vibrant city with a lot of history and culture. Culinary offerings are also great. Many old churches with beautiful altars can be admired, as well as museums and a walk through the city park "Campo Grande" should be planned.

Amazing tailored and unique wine touring experience!
We had a wonderful time using Rioja Like a Native and touring through Ribera del Duero and Rioja. Rebecca organized two incredible days of wine touring for us in Ribera and Rioja. We went to some very unique wineries that highlighted the traditions and wines of both regions. The wines were top quality and our guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. They arranged everything for us so all we needed to do was show up with our appetites and desire to drink great Spanish wine! I highly recommend using Rioja Like a Native if you want a great experience and to try some wineries off the well beaten tourist path.

FABULOUS tour in the best wine region in Spain!
Bruno and Ribera del Duero Like a Native Tours were outstanding! They planned a fabulous tour of some of the best wineries in the region (I've been several times before, and they surprised me!), and the tour itself was marvelous. Bruno is interesting, funny, and very kind, and was a pleasure to spend time with! Contact was easy, all the logistics were perfect, the Mercedes van was very comfortable, and my family is already asking to go again. If you are going to visit Ribera del Duero, I couldn't recommend Bruno more highly!
