Welcome to Vail

Vail Colorado, in the Colorado Rockies 100 miles west of Denver, is a dedicated winter-sports town established in 1962 when Vail Mountain opened for its first ski season. Now Colorado’s largest ski area and a charming, pedestrian-oriented resort village, Vail is busy year around with luxury hotels and spas, dining, golf, fishing, water sports, and numerous festivals and special events. Nearby Glenwood Canyon has great hiking and mountain bike trails along with thrill sports at the Glenwood Adventure Park and access to whitewater rafting on the Colorado River. A dip in the Glenwood Hot Spring might be appropriate afterwards, and a tour of the local craft breweries is always relaxing.
