Toulon Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

This private tour by Anthony was one of the highlights of our Western Medierranean cruise! He picked us up promptly in front of our ship, and we toured a few of the main sites in Marseille, including the old port and the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde. Then we traveled through the beautiful Parc National des Calanques to Cape Canaille, the highest cliff in Europe, where we had incredible views of nearby rock climbers, Cassis Bay, and the Mediterranean Sea. After traveling down to the fishing town of Cassis, we took an hour boat tour to view the cliffs, beaches, and tourquoise water. Anthony suggested a wonderful restaurant alongside the harbor where we had a local seafood lunch, followed by plenty of time to explore the town, shop, and stop for gelato before meeting Anthony for a quick ride back to the ship. The private tour was absolutey perfect! Anthony was friendly, professional, and prompt...AND he made sure we were back to the ship on time! Don't hesitate to book this experience...You'll enjoy every minute!

This was our favorite excursion on our Mediterranean cruise. We were met and dropped off at our ship, and we were very comfortable for the tour. Anthony provided a great experience, we felt like we were visiting a friend, who was showing us the best of what the area had to offer. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!

Bruno was fabulous, he was not only our driver for the day but our guide, giving us the history of the places we went along with a walking tour. He did not rush us an took his time and took us to several beautiful locations and customized the experience to what we wanted to do. I will highly recommend booking with Bruno!

A lovely day in the Bandol wine region. Romain was our guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. The family winery was wonderful. We visited as they were harvesting the grapes. Got to see the entire process. The owner of the winery was also there to welcome us. We had a tasting of four wines. Very nice day! Thanks Romain!

Great experience. Ask to customize the itinerary and was beautifully done. Wonderful guide and sites. Everyone (wife and friends) loved the history the scenery and the narrative expertly done by Sarit was outstanding.

Perfect afternoon - could not have asked for a better tour in Toulon. Walked off the boat. Easily found our guide. Had a wonderful & educational tour of Bandol winery. I appreciate smaller personal tours & this was just the best !

Captain Patrick was a fantastic host. The boat was so nice and the half day tour was the perfect amount of time. I usually get very sea sick but was fine on this whole trip. We loved the tour of Port Grimaud and the swimming time we had. The boat came equipped with snorkel gear, drinks, towels, and even some snacks. We had a great time! (Kids aged 11 and 13)

Absolutely amazing experience with the most wonderful guide! Sarit was so nice and thoughtful, quite flexible with also adapting the tour to what we were interested in. She is also clearly very knowledgeable about the region and its history, overall a very friendly and sociable person to have a chat with. We had a wonderful time exploring the different cities and spots. The perfect one day trip if you’re coming in from the cruise. She picked us up and dropped us off right at the port so we didn’t have to worry. Lunch was also very delicious and the wine tour was great. Would definitely recommend booking

Renaud went above and beyond guiding us through the streets of Toulon! The food tour was excellent and Renaud's knowledge of the area was quite impressive. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the charming streets of Toulon and indulge in its delicious cuisine. We arrived late at the port because the tender from our cruise ship took a long time, but Alexandre waited patiently for us to get there , he gave us a full tour of Saint-Tropez . he is great to talk to and knows all the best spots.

We had an amazing experience touring the French Riviera with Alexander. From beginning to end, he was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day feel relaxed and enjoyable.Alexander took us to some beautiful places along the Riviera and shared interesting information about each location without making the tour feel rushed or overly structured. He gave us enough time to enjoy the views, take pictures, walk around, and really experience each stop.

Giles was very friendly and knowledgeable and the olive oil is absolutely delicious!
