I loved the caves, however my partner is nearly 70 and found the walk down very challenging. Our guide Phillip was wonderful and helped every step of the way, he was there to help my partner when needed. .

The tour was excellent and very comprehensive with a lot of information. Hamala was prompt with communications. During the tour, he explained things thoroughly, and it is very clear that he has a lot of knowledge about Tonga and Tongan culture. I would definitely recommend doing a tour with him.

A bit on the pricey side but very well run. Lots of hands on learning and displays, and the lunch was excellent. I booked through Cool Destinations which had a start time listed of 10am, but the other people who booked for the day booked through a different supplier and had a start time of 11am so I waited around for an hour for it to start. Totally fine with me, I had no where else to be, but if you have little ones or don't want to wait, best to reconfirm the start time with the operator in advance

My friends and I had an absolutely incredible experience with Loa and Raya’s Taxi Services & Guided Tours during our week in Tonga.Loa took us on an incredibly detailed and meaningful guided tour of some of the most sacred sites of Tongatapu, sharing so much knowledge, history and mātauranga along the way. We had an absolutely amazing full-island tour with Loa!This was a very special return trip to Tonga for us, as we were celebrating 30 years of friendship that began through a health promotion volunteer programme from Japan. Being able to come back to Tonga after all these years and explore the island together made this trip incredibly meaningful and memorable.Our guide, Loa, was fantastic… so friendly, kind, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to share his love and knowledge of Tonga with us. He answered all of our questions and never once made us feel rushed. We had plenty of time to enjoy and take in every place he showed us.He truly went the extra mile to make our day special, and his warm personality made the whole experience even more enjoyable.We are so grateful for the wonderful memories we made and would highly recommend Loa and this tour to anyone visiting Tonga. If you’re looking for a guide who truly cares about his guests and wants you to experience the best of Tonga, we definitely recommend him!!!

Pick up was a bit messy, was meant to be at hotel, then got changed to their office location but I wasn’t told what time. Got there and the office has burnt down. Phone line doesn’t work.Guide turned up 20 mins after start time of tour in a private car.However everything else was great, guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the sites were interesting. Swimming in the cave a definite highlight. Blowholes also coolLunch was bananas papaya and fresh coconut and was very tasty.Guide dropped me back to My accommodation after.

Great tour shows you all Tonga’s highlights and important places. The tour guide is highly specialised in history and knows the area very well . The tour offers extras like lunch , water , snorkeling activity and stops for photos anywhere you like . Hamala the tour guide organises the tour in the best way , I highly recommend this tour

We had a really awesome bus tour who became our tour guide as well. Very knowledgeable and went at our pace didn't hurry us along. The sites were interesting and the caves amazing.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our guide Mele did an excellent job in explaining Tongan culture and activities. She covered local medicines, making tapa cloth preparing the umu, and preparing and participating in the kava ceremony. It was very hands on, informative and entertaining. The time went by fast and before we knew it was over. Exceeded our expectation and we would highly recommend.

Great stops and a really fun day overall! One thing worth mentioning: Anahulu Cave is not the place for anyone with mobility or vision challenges. The steps down to the water can be a bit of an adventure, and while there are lights, it still leans heavily toward the “mysterious cave vibes” side of lighting. Think atmospheric… not “well-lit hotel staircase.”Our guide was amazing and did a fantastic job, even though a few folks in our van seemed like they had been forced onto the tour against their will. (You know the type—on vacation in paradise but somehow still grumpy about it.) Their mood tried to sneak into the van, but we refused to let it ruin our good time.Because of a small miscommunication, we missed the kava ceremony, but our guide more than made up for it by taking us to the blowholes at Mapu'a 'a Vaea Blowholes — and WOW. Totally worth it. Watching the ocean blast sky-high through the rocks felt like nature putting on a fireworks show.Despite a few gloomy travel companions and one missed stop, we had a GREAT time and came away with some unforgettable memories.

Cecilia was an excellent tour guide. The drives between stops was long at times but she gave us so much information about Tonga. My only suggestion would be to update the information on the bat stop and coconut stop.

Vaka was a knowledgeable guide who provided us with a wonderful tour. Lots of stops for photos & leg stretches! Highly recommend.

Teta Tours was amazing, tour guide was informative, interesting and funny. Sorting out the tour with Tomasi was a breeze as-well would 100% recommend. Thanks for making my time in Tonga great!

Be organise have reef shoes and towel sunscreen and water. It truly was a fantastic experience all up.

A great trip visiting some beautiful historic sights. The cave was amazing and the swim inside was incredible. The beach just outside the cave was like a little paradise. I would have liked to have had longer at the beach, but we probably spent too long in the cave. The tour guides were not the most informative, but they were young, enthusiastic and charming . The whole trip was so enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.

This was a great way to experience the whole island of Tongatapu. You see several interesting sights on both sides of the island. Remember to bring your swimsuit and towel if you want to swim in the cave which was amazing and definitely the highlight of the tour.
