I can highly recommend...
I can highly recommend the 2h walking tour! The guide was very nice and I learned a lot about Timisoara and Romania in general.

The Perfect Escape from the City
Amazing tour! It was the perfect option for us, as we hadn’t rented a car but still wanted to visit one of the largest castles in Europe. To be honest, the salt mine wasn’t originally in our plans, but it turned out to be an incredible addition to the trip. I had never visited a salt mine before, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
A big thank you to Andrei for sharing so much interesting information and for adapting the pace of the tour to suit us. We even had the chance to try a local delicacy along the way, which made the experience even more memorable.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore beyond the city and discover some truly unique places!

A Must-Do Tour in Timișoara!
An excellent experience! We had the opportunity to try some of the best street food in the city, expertly guided by Andrei. The tour was a perfect blend of food tasting and sightseeing, as we also learned about the rich history and culture of Timișoara along the way. Highly enjoyable, informative, and delicious. 100% recommended!

Beautiful overview of the city
Even though it was very cold and I was the only one who was on the tour, Marius was a wonderful guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and it is so nice that he grew up in Timișoara so he really knew the city and had great stories to include in the tour. Sadly, I only had one day in Timișoara, but I plan to return and hope I have Marius as a guide again.

One Day in Transylvania – Departure from Timisoara863connorn, Jun 2026
Better than any big city tour company we’ve experienced!
I highly recommend Timisoara City Tours to anyone looking to explore the area, we went on the One Day in Transylvania tour and absolutely loved it! It’s a long day but undoubtedly worth it for an intimate tour experience (just us and two others) where they picked us up from our accommodations and were happy to work with our specific needs. We were staying in the no-car-zone in the city centre but our guide Andrei found us a convenient pickup location right near by.
Andrei was fantastic, on top of being an expert guide he was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and communicative from the time of our booking through to the end of the tour. He brought us to some amazing places that we would have never known about otherwise and gave us great intel at each stop. This was one of the best tour experiences we’ve had anywhere that we’ve travelled. I’m certain you won’t regret booking any of their tours!

Relaxing and Enjoyable
My husband and I were in Timisoara for a wedding and extended our stay to visit other parts of Romania. We choose this tour because we were interested in spending time in the nature, rather than visiting castles or cities. Our guide was Andrei, who picked us up punctually. We enjoyed learning the history of Timisoara and Romania, and hearing about his own family's experience in Romania's transformation from communism to EU membership. The 3-hour drive through the countryside was very pleasant. We visited two waterfalls before the river cruise, which was the highlight. If you are looking for spectacular waterfalls or caves, you may be disappointed. The lesson on geology, however, gave us the appreciation of this area's natural formation. The river itself bares witness to the history of the region, going back to the Roman Empire, and as shown by the various landmarks Andrei pointed out throughout the one-hour ride. The restaurant Andrei chose for the late lunch has a lovely view of the river and offers local fishes. We chose to have them prepared with the local flavor.Overall it was a relaxing and pleasant trip. Andrei was attentive, entertainting, and simply very enjoyable to spend a day with. We were glad to get to know Romania through a local like Andrei.

The Grand Tour of Communist Ages at TimisoaraNinaR108, Apr 2026
Incredible tour!
This was a fantastic tour! Dan was such a knowledgeable and engaging guide. He knew about *everything* we happened to ask about, and showed us such great details (from the type of insulation used to upgrade Communist buildings, bullet holes in building exteriors from revolution, back story on how apartment fences were made by local residents using scraps taken from factory jobs, you name it). We had 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 7-16, and he kept us all engaged- no small feat.Dan’s English is perfect, but he knows a million other languages. My son is learning Hungarian and Dan helped him with that, and went above and beyond sending us links to Hungarian cartoons after the tour to help him study.I work in transportation and had questions about the transit system and Dan knew all about that as well- just a fantastic tour!!

it was a scenic, relaxing, and well-guided nature trip that stood out because of the guide.
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience exploring the Danube by boat and visiting the nearby waterfalls! The scenery was breathtaking — from the calm, wide stretches of the river to the stunning natural beauty of the waterfalls.A special shoutout to our guide, Andrei, who truly made this trip exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the history, geography, and local culture throughout the journey. On top of that, he was friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer questions or adjust the experience to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves.Everything was well-organized, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you're considering a Danube boat trip with a waterfall visit, I highly recommend it — and if you can, ask for Andrei as your guide. He really makes all the difference!

Bite your way through Timisoara review
Could not have had a better experience going on this food tour. My friend and I had Dan as our tour guide and he made the tour so enjoyable for us. Throughout the tour you get a great feel for the local atmosphere and the food that locals eat on a daily basis. I highly suggest you do this one your first day visiting Timisoara because you get a great feel for the city and good places to eat throughout the entirety of your trip.

Great intro to Timisoara
It was an interesting small group tour of the history and background of Timisoara. The town' history is complicated and the guy did a good job of unwinding it, with some anecdotes from his own personal experiences during the 1989 Romanian revolution. A very good Tours.

SIBIU AND CASTELLO DEI CORVINO
beautiful experience to visit other sites and cities outside Timisoara.
The tour was really very nice, and Segiu left us the free organization of the visit according to our preferences and needs.
Really good and very helpful.
Thank you for the wonderful visit

Excellent day trip while in Timisoara
Thanks to the airline Hisky, the city of Timisoara is reachable from many places in Europe and New York. After arriving in Timisoara, this is a worthwhile trip to do. I booked this as a solo trip. The guide Dan was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The first stop was for breakfast, where I had a burger for breakfast. While this may sound strange, it was a worthwhile stop since one of their burgers won second prize in a competition, and that was the only time to try it. Corvin castle was definitely worth seeing. The guide informed me that this castle appears in some Bollywood movies. After the castle, it was onto Sibiu. This area is worth visiting. There are unique houses in the area with openings in the roof that look like eyes looking at you. This is the area where I went for lunch. The guide was flexible as to where to eat. I wanted to try some Romanian food, and the guide knew a good restaurant. I was shown some of the main areas of Sibiu. Since I was a solo traveler, there guide was flexible after Sibiu, and asked if there was anything else I wanted to see. At that moment I declined the offer and we went back to Timisoara, as it was getting very late. There was a city of Deva between Sibiu and Timisoara that might have been interesting to see, but it was getting dark and there wasn’t enough time to see it properly. In the end, the tour lasted slightly longer than 11 hours.
