Tangier Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Our family group of four really enjoyed this tour. Our guide Jasmine did an excellent job showing us the sights of the city and area and providing an excellent narrative. The tour included a mix of van touring, stops at interesting sites, walking tours, a camel ride on the beach. We enjoyed the stop and snack at the restaurant near the beach. This was our first trip to Morocco and Africa

I booked this walking tour with Majid at the last minute. My wife was unable to accompany me, so it was truly a personalized one-on-one tour.As other reviewers have commented, Majid is passionate about Morocco and its rich history. He is a gifted communicator who I understand is fluent in eight languages. (Majid is also a very nice and patient gentleman!)The tour was a truly enjoyable experience!

Abdul and Majid took excellent care of us, catering to our interests and abilities. They were very knowledgeable, the van was spacious and they were excellent drivers!

Karim the tour operator contacted us the day before and was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a guide (Hamza) and a driver (Abdul). Both spoke English very well and were excellent!

A perfect casual yet informative way to wander through the Kasbah and the Old Town. Great for solo female travelers wanting to see the Medina but a little intimidated by the meandering streets. Jasmine, my guide was lovely to be with including our refreshing break at the tours end.

From the very first minute, everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail.We were travelling as two families with three young children, so safety, comfort and flexibility were especially important to us. Our guide gave 100% of himself throughout the entire day. He not only made sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable, but also helped us carry the stroller, looked after the children’s needs and genuinely did everything he could to make the experience memorable for every single one of us.What impressed us the most was how knowledgeable and passionate our guide was. He told us not only about the history of Tangier, but also shared so many interesting facts about Morocco, its culture, religion, people and everyday life. It was fascinating to listen to him, and you could really feel how much he loves his country and enjoys sharing it with visitors.Even the smallest details made a big difference – having water available, wet wipes after the camel ride, and constantly checking that everyone was comfortable. These may seem like little things, but they are exactly what makes an experience truly special. ❤️This was so much more than just a tour. It was a beautifully organised and genuinely thoughtful experience that our whole group will remember for a long time.I recommend this tour 100%! We were fortunate enough to have a private tour of the tangier with Sayd, and it was absolutely wonderful! Sayed shared his exceptional knowledge of Tangier way of life, religion, and culture, making the experience both fascinating and memorable. When we first arrived in Tangier, the souks felt a little overwhelming. However, thanks to Sayef guidance, we had a fantastic afternoon and discovered many highlights that we would have missed on our own. He guided us safely through the souks and gave us plenty of time to explore at our own pace. I was also able to choose two beautiful rugs, which will be shipped to me. Having a private tour, which happened by pure chance, allowed us to take our time and choose our rugs freely, without feeling rushed or pressured. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tangier. Sayed is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and made the whole experience enjoyable from beginning to end. We have been in Morocco for about two weeks now and visited Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Rabat, and Safi before this tour. This was BY FAR the best tour we have been on with great food, views, and historical insight to the city.The tour guide was extremely helpful on providing places to eat and buy souvenirs. He also knew a lot of people within the area which was also very helpful. The camel ride was also a blast!If you do this tour, you have to go to Romeo’s, best swordfish for only 55dh. Definitely an unforgettable experience and would highly recommend.

We had a delightful day with Hanae as our guide. So great to have a private tour guide and driver. Hanae was outstanding. The day was flexible to our preferences. She took us to all the places we hoped to visit, answering our questions, and allowing us to take as much time as we chose. She found a fabulous lunch restaurant for an authentic Moroccan meal. We highly recommended this experience if you have a day in Tangier.
