Great walk! We had fun learning about the history of the island, finding little hidden gems and great historical art. You get a free slice of cheese pizza at the end of the tour, but you can always purchase more (as our group found out VERY enthusiastically lol). Be prepared for one or two steepish walks, otherwise keep an eye out for any missed views!

Our tour guide, Bruce, was very helpful and informative. We learned a lot along the tour. A very worthwhile experience.

We loved our tour of Staten Island. Jeanine shared lots of interesting stories about the history and people on a fascinating walk around the lovely St. George area. She showed us some beautifully preserved and restored buildings, the National Lighthouse Museum and other surprising treasures in this not so small place with a small town feel. The ferry ride was an extra treat which added up to a fun day with a great tour.

This tour does not cover a lot of ground - just a small area of downtown St. George - but the information about Staten Island was interesting and informative.

Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. She was very happy to call Staten Island her home and enjoyed sharing her love of this burrow. We learned a lot about the history of the area and thoroughly enjoyed our time!

We had a great one-hour walking tour of the St. George area of Staten Island with Janine. She has lived on Staten Island her whole life, and it really shows in how comfortably she shares the history and the feel of the neighborhood. We learned a lot of history we didn’t know before, including the quarantine riots of the 1850s and how the Staten Island Ferry once transported cars, which stopped after 9/11.Janine brought us by the St. George Theatre, which was beautiful and definitely somewhere we’d like to return to, and we also went inside Staten Island Borough Hall near the ferry, where we were able to see artwork that tells the history of Staten Island. She was very in tune with making sure we were enjoying ourselves, answered all of our questions, and kept the pace comfortable and engaging.We even stopped for a great slice of NY Pizza, which added to the fun and made the whole experience feel very local. Janine really set us up for a great outing and was the perfect guide for exploring this part of New York City. I Highly recommend this tour!

Just enjoyed a very engaging and entertaining walking tour with host Janine. It was an intimate group of just myself, my husband and Janine. This did not deter her enthusiasm for relaying interesting information about Staten Island. Janine was able to provide a historical overview while showing us relevant buildings and points of interest along the route. Janine gave us plenty of opportunity to ask questions which was appreciated. Don and I relished this small slice of Staten Island along with the delicious slice of pizza that was included. I highly recommend this short but absolutely worthwhile walking tour. Thank you Janine.

Awesome site seeing trip of Staten Island. Staten Island is known for having the best pizza in NYC and this tour ends with a slice. Michael is a fabulous tour guide!

The tour was great and my tour guide Janine was excellent. She’s got a lot of heart. I highly recommend going on tours with her. The only reason I had to get four stars was because the pizza place was a little bit dirty.

Our guide met us at scheduled time ensured we had water with us as the weather was extremely hot she provided concise information at SI and was more than happy to answer all of our questions. Unfortunately the museum was closed. She spent over half or more extra with us past the tour finishing time
