Saipan Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

We were well taken care of and felt safe for both the buggy and the grotto. Definitely worth getting the photos/videos of your time on these 2 excursions, with a great photographer! Happy to recommend this company!

A calming and beautiful 2 hour catamaran sail in the lagoon. Saw many rays and turtles! Tony was very knowledgeable and let us know about the wind ahead of time. We were able to reschedule due to a lack of wind, and we are so happy it worked out at a later date! I’d very much recommend!

My elderly mother and I went with Walt on a chartered flight to Tinian for a day from Saipan. The tour was very organized as Walt already had a rental car to drive us around in Tinian. This tour was done in December 2025 (right after Christmas). The trip was very interesting due to the history of Tinian. Visiting the northern runway where the bombers took off for Japan was very interesting. The surrounding area with all the old control towers and terminals were interesting. For history lovers, this is a MUST SEE.

My mother and I had the chance to have Walt show us around Saipan Island (December 2025 after Christmas). This was not the first time for both my mother and I but due to Walt's in-depth knowledge, we learned so much more about the history of Saipan. In fact, managed to see more of Saipan I never got to see in the southern and eastern coast of the island. I HIGHLY recommend!! Will go back to Saipan again. My mother is elderly (89 years old). Loved how Walt took very good care of her the whole time.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful excursion. Tony was amazing! We sailed the lagoon and saw several sea turtles—then stopped to snorkel for a bit & encountered the most variety of fish in the area. On the way back to shore, the sunset was a great way to end our sail. We will return & book this again—a MUST DO!!

This was a very nice experience. The guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and safe. Our small group was perfect and gave everyone enough space to snorkel. One guide stayed near the family with a boy about 9 years old—the boy was a bit hesitant, but ended up loving it! The area was beautiful, and we would go again!

Amazing experience highly recommend while in Saipan! Arman and Randy were our tour guides and were great! Super nice, thoughtful, and made sure we were safe swimming in the grotto since the current can get strong. They took lots of great photos and videos, and we got to enjoy them after the trip - we watched a little movie of all the photos/videos they took with some freshly popped popcorn. After the grotto, we got to visit Banzai Cliff and Bird Island. Wonderful experience, definitely will do again next time I visit Saipan!

I have wanted to tour of Saipan and Tinian for many years as my father was stationed on Saipan in 1945 and 1946. Walt provides a complete and thorough tour of both islands with deep knowledge of the islands. Prior to my arrival, I provided Walt with a few photos from my dad's time in Saipan. Before I arrived, Walt researched and made appointments with long-term island residents in an attempt to determine the location of these photos. After two full days of touring we (Walt and I) feel we got very close to the location of the most identifiable landmarks. Walt worked very hard to personalize my tour and it was a fantastic experience. This was the best and most in-depth tour I have ever experienced. If you want to tour the Northern Mariana Islands, I highly recommend using Walt and Discover Saipan. I told Walt during the tour, there is likely no other tour in the world like this. Walt, thanks for a great and unique tour!

Arman & Randy were amazing guides. It was great to go through the Grotto, do some sight seeing, and then ride the buggy. Highly recommend this business and these experiences. You can’t go wrong with these guys!

This ATV/ buggy tour was amazing! Very well organized, Jerry and Arman thought of everything., they provided us a rain poncho to wear when it started raining and surprised us with coconut shushimi at the beach stop. The views were spectacular, the trails super fun and our guides took lots of photos/ videos for us which they showed us on a slide show after with popcorn. They safe guarded our 4 yr old for the excursion who also loved the tour! Highly recommend this tour and Mariana Trecking for a great excursion while in Saipan!

5 out of 5. We did the same off road buggy adventure back in 2017. Came back around in 2025 with full family of 7 and it’s just as great! Tour was thorough and fun. Beach stop was amazing. Guides were fun and friendly. Would happily do it again.

Fabulous guides from Marianas trekking and absolutely worth going with them. They make the experience so much better and that’s saying a lot. The grotto is a fantastic thing to do in n Saipan. The guides give you a safety video to start off with and provide the gear you need and then drive you down to the grotto. In the grotto, they help you down and into the water and take fantastic pictures and videos of your time there so you don’t need to worry about doing that yourself. The guides took us to several other sites afterwards, such as suicide cliff and banzai cliff as well as Bird Island Lookout point. After that we went back to the starting point where we saw the pictures and videos they took with some popcorn, which they then downloaded for a small price on my phone and printed one medium size picture as a keepsakes. I truly enjoyed Saipan and Tinian tours on WW2 history with Walt. Both islands are remarkable, Walt is a very knowledgeable and flexible guide, and I recommend both tours to anyone interested in WW2 history.

Wonderful experience on such a cool sailboat for a great price - awesome views of shore & sea. Got to hang out the side & get towed while snorkeling - saw turtles and lots of fish! Tony is a kind & chill host - highly recommend this experience!
