The Efteling is one of my favorite places for a day trip. The atmosphere, music, and attractions are great, the food is good, the staff is friendly, and the shows are magical. If you are in the Netherlands as a resident or on vacation, this is a very strong recommendation to visit.

I am a german speaker and i had a fantastic time on the bike tour with Elmer! 🚲The tour was a great way to discover Rotterdam. Elmer was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. He shared lots of interesting stories and local insights, and it really felt like exploring the city with a local rather than simply following a standard sightseeing tour.The equipment was absolutely fine as well, including the helmets and the yellow bikes. I also really liked the way the bike workshop was set up. It had a very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere, with lots of lovely little details that made the place feel personal and authentic. There is even a small bicycle museum inside, which I thought was a really nice touch.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rotterdam, especially if you want to experience the city by bike and get some genuine local tips along the way.Thanks again, Elmer, for the great tour and also for the great conversation afterwards! Beautiful park. Especially for smaller children. The park is set up like a fairy tale. Everything is very lovely and with attention to detail. The wait times in May were very moderate and good. We never had to wait in line for long. Going early is worth it. However, since the park is very large, you cannot see everything in one day. There is an area for small children and a large "children's" one. The price is rather high, but the park really does offer superlatives. The only thing we did not like was 1001 Nights, which was more of a house of horrors than a fairy tale =)

What an awesome experience we had with world city trail! The Rotterdam Quiz and historical insights were very interesting, captivating and motivating to keep exploring! Thank you for compiling such a good program

We enjoyed the combination of short, and interesting history lessons, while the codes were just the right difficulty to keep a flow on our walk. We enjoyed that you can pause whenever to get back to the scavenger hunt later.

OPEN on Mondays and Tuesdays (Aug '26), they just haven't updated Google Maps or Cool Destinations.This is great quality and entertainment, if you like model trains and extended landscape and buildings to go with them. On par with Hamburg (not associated with) just not on as many floors but still big.The 'Bookie' map guide for 50c includes vouchers for second cup of coffee free, 10% discount on their Jubilee book, a subsequent visit €1 for 1 person per voucher.

Very nice tour to discover the most evocative places in Rotterdam. Itzel, our guide, knew how to engage us and make us feel like we were walking around Rotterdam in the company of a friend, explaining the peculiarities of the various places. Thank you Itzel. Highly recommended

I had underestimated this destination, but it was a great discovery! Itzel was fantastic!!! Tour in Italian full of curiosities and details; she also shared a lot about Dutch culture and not just the history of the city, although it was very interesting. She definitely added that extra touch of magic. The tour is highly recommended, and personal praise to her!

Unique tour and loved the cheese farm. Amazing cheese. Walk through Kinderdijk windmills was beautiful. Tour guide was friendly. Communication could have been clearer that we were meeting on the Waterbus vs dock.

I enjoyed this tour so much in May 2025 that I booked two more bike tours with Alex in May 2026.We had kept in contact and Alex offered to customize tour routes to my liking in areas of my choice. So this year I opted for a "west side" tour through Schiedam, Vlaardingen and Delft, and another tour of Rotterdam and points east on a different route than last year. The combination of urban landmarks, forests, and polders makes for a totally unique experience, combining both Dutch historical sites with the beauty of the countryside that most travelers probably don't get a chance to experience.We began the west side tour in Schiedam, a lovely, peaceful town just 4 miles east of Rotterdam, with beautiful canals and 8....8! windmills (far more interesting than Kinderdijk IMO, see "Schiedam Windmills" for photos). Schiedam is also home to the Nolet Distillery (Ketel One Vodka and Nolet's Gin), which I took a tour of on another day (which I plan to review if l can get location posted on TA). Once out in the countryside, there were numerous outdoor restaurants for lunch and beverage stops as needed.For the eastside tour, we visited different areas of Rotterdam and rode different paths through the countryside. On both tours, it was just a joy to ride through forested paths, open fields with grazing goats, cattle, horses and waterfowl. Alex is an excellent conversationalist and is extremely knowledgeable about local history; there wasn't anything that I asked that he could not answer. He is a true ambassador of the Netherlands.While the posted tour itinerary is wonderful, Alex is more than willing to work with you to customize a tour route to your liking. It will certainly be a unique and memorable experience. I can't recommend Alex highly enough and will be booking a few more tours with him for my return in 2027

Great audio tour - GPS guided and you don’t even have to look at your iPhone - keeps you on track with excellent directions and great sightseeing info from a local!

Roy was an exceptional guide. He was very accomodating and went out of his way to please us. I highly recommend him and his amazing tour.

Our guide, a Rotterdam native, was very knowledgeable of the history of Rotterdam. I learned so much about how history, in particular WWII, influenced the mix of old and new in this beautiful port city.
