Rhode Island Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Courtney was our guide and she was great. She was prepared, punctual, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Our tour had to deal with the beginning of the Nor'easter and Courtney was extremely communicative with the group about pending plans and possibilities, and when we all showed up in the rain she had umbrellas and ponchos should we need them. The minimal rain at the time just added to the ambiance and we had a great tour and learned some really interesting stuff. Definitely recommend, and I'd love to do another of her tours if I'm ever in the area again.

Terrific afternoon on the water with exemplary crew narrating and explaining the remarkable environment of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay! So enjoyed learning the history and lore of the lighthouses, bridge, and waterfront dwellings!

Such an informative tour of such a unique place. We loved learning the history of the homes while also getting a feel for Newport from someone who clearly loves the place.

Trolley Rob was great. Easy to understand, full of information, very pleasant. Directions for parking & finding the Trolley was clear & concise. Plenty of time to tour the Breakers. We are really enjoyed this tour.

Trolley Rob is great! Informative and funny. Definitely the highlight of our trip!

Booked this tour last minute after seeing an ad at my hotel and so glad I did. It was a fun little experience that allowed me to see a bit more of the city for my less than 24 hrs I was going to spend here. Bonus I was the only one on the tour and got the VIP treatment!

Did a Scenic Bay Cruise of Narragansett Bay from Newport and it was great!! Beautiful scenery, smooth sailing and friendly staff. There’s a bar on the ship too!!! And a restroom.Enjoyed it, highly recommend!

We saw parts of the city we otherwise would not have seen. We were given sufficient time at each stop.

Excellent tour guide made it very informative and enjoyable. Plenty of time to tour the Breakers mansion.

Very relaxing and enjoyable tour. Guide/narrator was friendly and knowledgeable. Transportation was excellent and comfortable.

The cruise was wonderful and very informative. We sat in the bow, and although windy it was fabulous. I would highly recommend experiencing this adventure.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Newport, and its heritage.Joe was Very personable as well :)

My husband and I visited Newport, Wickford Village and Providence for the first time and had an absolutely wonderful vacation. The boat cruise was perfect. We loved the crew and everything we learned while have a fun time doing it. We will take the same cruise when we return. Thank you!

Carlos was great - entertaining and informative. When booking this tour there are 2 options. The 3 hour tour includes entrance to Breakers. The 90 minute tour does not

Jon was a great tour guide! I brought my friend who was visiting from California who’s never been here and he did such a good job of describing Rhode Island. It was perfect.. I learned a lot that I didn’t know and I am a Rhode Islander.

Todd and Veronica were informative and entertaining. The 90 minute tour was just enough to see Newport highlights.
