Reykjavik Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

Haddi was amazing! He was funny, knowledgeable and energetic. He took us to great restaurants and shared wonderful facts!

Great show by Alma, very knowledgeable. Very educational while keeping it interesting. The VIP experience seems worth it, you get some volcanic glass, an included drink, access to the VIP lounge that has different types of volcanic rocks and info about them, a higher viewing platform, an after show extra video, and you can ask the host more questions in the VIP lounge afterwards.

As a solo traveler, I did the Reykjavik Guided Food Walking Tour and it was fantastic! Our guide Bonnie was amazing so knowledgeable about not just the food, but the history and culture of Iceland behind each dish. She made everything interesting and fun, and I learned so much more than I expected. The food stops were excellent and it was a perfect way to get to know downtown Reykjavik. I felt totally comfortable going solo and met great people on the tour. And make sure you try the fermented shark it wasn't bad at all!Highly recommend this tour and especially Bonnie!

This was such an excellent tour, visiting three unique and breath taking sites in Iceland & we were so lucky to have a fantastic tour guide/driver, so so knowledgeable and fascinating in equal measure! Thank you Dr.G!!

The volcano video experience was phenomenal!! It was fascinating to see what the internal workings of a volcano…even though it was AI!! Too bad I did not have time to see it twice!

Wow! We were lucky to see 4 whales! And several leaping dolphins. The tour operators were all fab! Amazing to see these creatures, really fascinating and helped by the operators doing their best to find success and inform us...

I really enjoyed my visit to Perlan Museum. The exhibits were interesting and gave me a better appreciation of Iceland’s nature and landscapes. The views from the observation deck were beautiful, too. I’m glad I made time to visit!

Went very nicely! A good way to get from the airport to your destination! ………………………………………………………………..and don’t require @00 characters!

Luca was a fantastic tour guide. He shared history, legends and stories about Reykjavik. He took the time to share with us some of his favorite places in the city and his playful sense of humor made the enjoyable.

Easy to find and organized. Very knowledgeable staff. We saw a lot of whales and it was great! Good indoor and outdoor space on the boat

Leifur was an awesome guide for an amazing experience!

Train your ear to the accent, but otherwise Leifur was an excellent guide. His knowledge and love for his country is evident.

Warning!!! Taking this tour might cause you to fall in love with Iceland. If you are in Iceland I recommend you take this tour. One of the biggest highlights of our tour was our guide gud. I learned so much about Iceland from him. The trip took about 6 hours but with gud it went by sooooooo fast.

This was a fabulous experience and chance to see magma in person without risk - the heat was immense! We even got a piece of lava to take home. I would recommend this show to anyone visiting Reykjavik!

Great way to spend a couple of hours. The guys doing the tour were very knowledgeable about the wildlife in particular the puffins they also made it so much fun - even when we were a bit jet lagged!

Great experience getting out of the city and into the woods! The views were great and our tour guide made it an enjoyable trip with patiently leading us through some of the more tougher terrain.
