Rainbow Beach Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This was my 4th trip to K'gari with this company but Dean our tour guide took it to a new level. He was very knowledgeable but has a terrific sense of humour. He was so cheerful and funny and made the day. Loved him.

Had the best K’gari trip ever with Pippies - couldn’t recommend more!!!Our tour guide Cory was an absolute legend and he couldn’t have done more to make it the most incredible experience for the full group 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 Felt so safe with him - so friendly, knowledgable and a great laugh! Met a great group of people and so so much fun!!!Visited lots of cool spots but the highlight was definitely Lake Boomanjin which we visited on the last day through Cory’s recommendation, and sooo glad we did! The lake was so peaceful, beautiful views and the tea tree lake is meant to be super good for your skin & hair, which, based on Cory’s, I believe⭐️⭐️⭐️No complaints at all - the best time❤️

A great day exploring the unique habitat of Fraser island our pick up point driver had been delayed by a group so not his fault we were late pick up, the driver was very knowledgeable and told us interesting info en route to ferry. The guide for our island "off road," experience was Blair, so knowledgeable about the island and it's history but telling us in small bites so easier to take in. Lunch was plentiful and all labeled I'm veggie so very happy to see several options, a tea and cookie stop at the end of the day too. Had an option to take a small aircraft flight which was extra but well with it. A fantastic day we both loved it. Lucky to see a dingo at the end of the day.

My trip to Fraser Island was an absolute standout experience, largely thanks to our incredible tour guide, From the moment we set off Aidan brought an authentic and uplifting energy, genuine passion for the island's and tour. He had infectious energy and just wants everyone to feel comfortable and have a good time!He navigated the changing beach tracks with complete confidence and safety, making sure everyone felt comfortable while still getting a true sense of adventure. Every stop, from the crystal-clear waters of Lake McKenzie to the historic Maheno Shipwreck, was timed perfectly and Aiden went above and beyond to share fascinating stories, good laughs and help us spot local wildlife. If you are planning a visit to this stunning destination, I cannot recommend this tour enough, especially if you are lucky enough to have Aiden as your guide.

Great experience. Suzie helped us a lot in coordinating and managing our booking. I will recommend epic adventure to anyone who want a kayak trip. Girls really enjoyed and would like to come back again

Amazing experience! Driving on the beach with J.B. was really cool and kayaking on the ocean with him and Kevin was fantastic. We were barely meters away from a whale! Definitely recommended!

Had the best time on this trip, our guide Shay was the best. Looked after us well and had such a great depth of knowledge about the island it was so interesting. The off roadings well fun too!

Had an incredible time on this trip - was the best part of our East Coast tour. We did the 3 day trip which was definitely the right amount of time. Our guide - Wade - was very good, he was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. The campsite was good, although obviously basic. We cooked as a group - the food included steak, cheese + bacon burgers, sausages, salads, pasta salad and vegetables. The lunches during the day were wraps with various fillings. We really enjoyed the food. The shower and bathroom facilities were okay, a few spiders but the staff were great and cleared them after our first night. The atmosphere in the evenings was really good - we had a campfire going and everyone was playing card games, chatting, and having a couple of drinks. During the days we visited some very picturesque places, although sadly our weather was disappointing. We saw a couple of dingos but nothing to be nervous about, if you follow the rules that the guides set. Driving the 4WD vehicles was definitely a highlight. I highly recommend this trip, especially for young adults travelling up the East Coast!!

Kevin was an excellent guide and really friendly and chatty with us. We also did the kayak tour with him and it was great fun. We saw dolphins, lots of tiny crabs, and rays. He has excellent knowledge of the place and environment. Thanks Kevin!!
