Quebec City Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

I hope you get Martin as your tour guide/driver ... personable, friendly, helpful and he made it a FUN experience!!

The tour was just right! Two hours and a manageable sized group. Because of the challenging terrain, the route was respectful of the physical limitations of some of the guests.

Simon was very informative. He answered every question and often built up anticipation before the next stop.

This was a great cruise, very informative and we got to see the waterfalls included! Relaxing sitting on deck in the sunshine. Staff very helpful. Also very easy to find the boarding place and pick up tickets.

Good value for money. There was no live narrator, but the pre-recorded tour was clear and professional.

It was easy! We shuttled from our cruise ship into the downtown and caught the first red Hop On Hop Off bus that was stopped at the corner. Rode it all the way through Quebec City and saw all the sites we’d wanted to see, without strenuous walking. The narration was available in multi-languages, the driver was courteous, and it was a good experience. Appreciated the Cool Destinations price and ease of buying tickets ahead of time.

Itinerary well planned. Our guide Carol was very knowledgeable. Perfect amount of time to see everything.

Lovely cruise of St Lawrence River with some interesting information. Everyone was very friendly and the guide was easy to understand, although where I was sitting, his left and right were the reverse of mine.

This was a nice, relaxing tour. It gave us a good overview of the island, and we stopped at two wineries, a vinegar maker, and a place that makes nougat candy.

Gabby was warm, welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the island and the people and businesses there. It was a great afternoon and would strongly encourage participation in this tour.

The areas we visited on the tour were amazing. The island is a place we are planning to return to for a longer stay. 2-3 days should do it. The only downfall was our bus driver/tour guide (Martin)whom talk a lot about nothing. More clear info would have been appreciated. He had a habit of holding the mic too close to his mouth, so what ever he was saying we could not understand.

What a delightful experience! The goats are very sweet - all rescues, mainly from the dairy industry which discards male babies. Francois is the best guide you could imagine - personable, funny, kind and super passionate and knowledgeable about the land and the plants and animals that live there. His dog Luna is well-behaved and playful. The lunch at the end was fantastic. If you are wondering about whether to do it, please do. You won’t regret it. The walk is not strenuous. There were a few older people in our group who were a little slower and they managed just fine.

The tour was great, learned a lot about the city both past and present. Sam was a great guide, funny and informative. Appreciated the tips on where to go and things to see in the old city.

Sam was a great guide, made the tour entertaining and informative.It hits great spots and takes you from the parliaments to the old port lower town so great to see all parts. It is a walking tour so you do need to be able to do hills and stairs.

We had a great day walking with Francois and his goats (Frankie and Henri) and his extremely well trained dog. Francois was very knowledgeable about the surrounding nature and the beaver damn.
