Pisa 2026 Calendar of Events

Booked via Cool Destinations as a known company as was unsure of some of the other websites. All worked ok. Was a bit miffed that we appear to have paid £57 for tickets that were priced at 40 Euro's. If peak time you may need to book in advance, but I think we could have purchased tickets ok on the day when we were there for 40 Euros. It is all timed entry once you have a ticket for 1.30 2pm etc you get in the queue for that. Please note no bags!, but you can leave them for free in the lockers at the other side of the grass for free by scanning your tickets only from 1/2 hour before. Toilets 1.2 euro I think. Cathedral was also very nice inside. Quite an unusual experience climbing the leaning tower, one minute you are leaning on the inside, the next leaning on the outside, good view from the top and very enjoyable. If this is going to an America and anyone is desperate for home, there is a McD outside main entrance.

Great guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of Pisa and Italy. Showed us places we would have missed on our own and the major sites.

This was set up and on time! First, all bags must be checked now, so go there first. Then straight to the front of the line and in! What a beautiful experience! Had a small glitch with audio, but tour company fixed right away! Really must do!

The official site was sold out of tickets when we hoped to visit. Buying these tickets allowed us to still climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa at the day and time that worked best for our schedule. The tickets were emailed to us very quickly after purchase. We did not download the included virtual tour so can’t comment on that. Although paying more than the official site I was very happy to have the option to pay above cost to go the day and time that worked best for our schedule. As others have mentioned check your tickets upon receipt - our ticket was 15 minutes before the requested time and the Leaning Tower is not very flexible with late arrival.

We decided to go to the Tower of Pisa last minute and wanted to ensure we could climb it. The tickets we purchased were about double the normal price, but we found them worth it for the last minute purchase. Otherwise, I would purchase the tickets in advanced from the official source. They also deliver tickets via WhatsApp, so keep that in mind.

Highly recommend this tour with David. We saw loads of things we wouldn’t have found/seen on our own. David is very knowledgeable and was very interesting

The operators truly care about the horses and providing a safe and excellent experience.I did struggle a bit with information being provided from booking on Cool Destinations to Cool Destinations to the operator and eventually to me. But it was all well worth it.

Absolutely amazing experience! Couldn’t recommend it more, the staff were all so friendly and helpful, the horses were well taken care of and the whole atmosphere of the place was great. They took photos whilst we were riding so we have amazing memories.

Highly recommend!! So much fun and didn’t have to rush. Very chilled experience and no time limit. Just make sure you check the main big zip wire time as unfortunately we wasn’t told it was only open at certain times in the day so unfortunately we missed the main one we wanted to do and had already been there for 3 hours and it was 2 hours later which we didn’t want to wait for. If we was told when arrived we would have made sure we did the time we needed. Staff was lovely and prices very good.

Had to give up your passport to get the audio guide in another building. So I just viewed the cathedral without it.

We had a very good guide Iwona. Even though our group had a language barrier because of the various people, she took her time and explained everything very detailed. We are very pleased with the experience and are very gratefull to had a guide such as Iwona who knows her way aroud the city of Florence. She even recommended us some really good places to eat, it was wonderfull! If we are ever back in Florence we are surely going on a different tour with Iwona.

Nice place to visit and the climbing experience is a must. Keep in mind that is not much to do around this area and just few hour should be good enough for your time in Pisa.
