It was a great experience with Guide to Greenland! We booked 6 excursions in different cities with them during our time in Greenland. The ease of booking and variety of experiences is great.The planning and also the excursions themselves were very smooth. Great, qualified guides, good vehicles, reliable logistics and very accommodating as we were traveling with a baby and sometimes needed a bit more time.Especially Mads went above and beyond to provide us a great experience! Thank you, would wholeheartedly recommend to other travelers and we hope to come back to discover more corners of beautiful and diverse Greenland!

The self guided tour was really good. It gave a lot of information and was pretty easy to follow. Being able to stop the commentary whenever we wanted to explore something is a great feature. The download takes some time so I recommend you this before you start and where you have good internet.

We had a lovely tour in Nuuk! Mads, our guide, was one of the best local guides we have ever had & we travel worldwide. His insights on the community, history & how to give us the best visit were outstanding. We sadly left our backpack in his car but he returned it within 30 minutes, which was so professional. We want to return in the fall for northern lights!

Our guide was passionate as well as knowledgeable about the local history and culture. Walking through the city and exploring its landmarks gave us a deep appreciation for the rich heritage of this region. Visiting the key landmarks and learning about their significance was both educational and inspiring.

Great set up with the boat, the crew was lovely, and the experience was wonderful. I really enjoyed speaking with the local guides and discussing various perspectives and cultural information. One of the best parts of traveling is getting to know the people of the area in which you are visiting and this experience allowed for time to do that. The different spots they took us to in the northern bay were really fantastic and hot beverages were definitely appreciated. And of course, the northern lights were SO beautiful!

This is the second time I have used the services of Meaningful Travels Greenland—there is nothing better than putting yourself in the hands of someone who not only loves their job but puts their heart and soul into making you love the place and want to come back again. Nuuk Greenlandic Tea Tasting is a bit like meeting up with old friends from high school, with whom you have 20 years' worth of stories to share, and even though you haven't been together all this time, you realize that the bond between you is still as strong as ever. The strong tea with Arctic herbs in a warm cup is just an excuse to be silent for a moment, because in the silence, in this little pause, you can best hear the other person's heartbeat. After each sip, a new story, then another... Don't try all the sweets on the table—don't be greedy like me. Leave some room for the cookies and fresh bread with butter—you'll regret it if you don't try them.Our guide, Sikki, a unique guy in spirit and nature, whom I can only describe as a brilliant storyteller with a subtle, beautiful sense of humor, high morals, and a brave heart, showed us on a short but very necessary walk around the café the most iconic places to observe the harbor; several of the new buildings in the area, the treatment plant, and the lake that supplies the city with water, and when we returned to the café... Wow, I'm afraid to tell you, because it may not be part of the program, but this talented Greenlandic man turned out to have another talent - besides being a fascinating storyteller, he can also play the guitar. One of the songs was by my favorite Frank Sinatra (I had the audacity to share how much I like him before I knew that my unintentional comment would turn into a beautiful rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon“). Even if you are not tea lovers, it is worth meeting local people who will show you a different perspective on life - more connected to nature and to things that money cannot buy. In Nuuk, time flows differently. See for yourself.

I have traveled to so many places around the world, but Greenland is unique, unlike anything you have read about or expected to see. That is why I booked this walking tour with some trepidation—would they show me an overly embellished version of Nuuk? How happy I was when all my fears proved to be unfounded. Our guide, Sikki, was the most open-minded, down-to-earth, empathetic, and extremely honest local I could have dreamed of. Besides being a brilliant storyteller (as most Greenlanders turn out to be), Sikki knew how to make the most of even the smallest story; how to draw your attention not only to the popular sights in the city, but also to the people behind them; to the spirits and stories that fill them. Whether you ask him about the symbols on the flag, the connections between Greenlanders and Danes, polar bears and how to protect yourself from them, or how to hunt with a harpoon—at the end of the tour, you will feel that you have learned much more about the people—their beliefs, dreams, and hopes—than about where the country's prime minister lives (and why he likes to go to his fellow citizens' parties). To say that I recommend it is an understatement. I think that if you are in this city for even a day, you should do everything you can to book this tour. What's more - Rob - this extremely nice guy from the team who was responsible for facilitating the meeting not only welcomed me and my friend with cappuccinos on a freezing December morning (I must admit that this melted my heart), but he also took one of my hobbies seriously - sending postcards. I urgently needed stamps, and although I had no idea where the post office in Nuuk was, by the end of the tour with Sikki I already had the stamps I needed to send the postcards on their long journey home. What else do you need when you're so far from home, except people who make you feel at home.

We enjoyed the breathtaking fjord views, many architectural highlights and some lively marketplaces, right on foot. It was like and urban exploration, but connected with nature. We also interacted with friendly locals. The tour guide was made it all to be an enjoyable experience.

Really great tour, especially when you first arrive. The guide incorporated a lot of her personal experiences with the folklore and growing up in a unique place with the history and things we saw. The food was excellent, especially since the place was in the newer part of town which I may have never see otherwise. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Mads and his company were excellent. Learning about this culture, place and seeing sights with someone who has lived in Greenland most of his life was invaluable. I plan to return.

We had a great time with Mads who answered all our questions and showed us the northern lights. And we had hot chocolate too! We were very lucky and grateful for this experience.

We are recommending the activity from the bottom of the heart. The small, private group was extremely convenient. I was travelling alone with my son accompanied by another two tourists. The guide was very forthcoming, patient, he didn’t only do the hunting but also was telling us more about the areas, style of living and some fun facts. The trip is planned for two hours and even if the time was up, but the northern lights were still there, he kept chasing and picking a most suitable place for us to admire the wonder. There was even a tasty hot chocolate in a nice ceramic cup. I fully recommend the experience. My 11yo son also loved it giving it 10/10.
