Mission Beach 2026 Calendar of Events

This was one of our favourite experiences here in North Queensland. Firstly our guides Izzy and Paul were very experienced and great fun. Paul especially was our raft captain and deserves a special mention.The tully area itself was well worth the trip from Cairns or from anywhere. The area is un touched and one of the nicest places we have ever been. The rafting itself was so good.Please do this tour if your thinking about it. You won't regret it.Only thing it could improve is the dinner but that wasn't too bad either. Grab some extra snacks and you'll be fine

Excellent day out. The best day we spent in Cairns. Would do it again 100%. Totally underrated and one of the best ways to see genuine nature. Do not miss you will regret not going!

The most amazing experience ever!! My instructor Aleks was great and helped so much and helped me to feel less nervous! I was so nervous but it was amazing all the way through and all the staff were great too. Would really recommend and hopefully one day I’ll be back!

A spectacular experience. I honestly can’t rate this highly enough! This topped all experiences in cairns including the Great Barrier Reef. Our guide Sean could not have been better and it is an experience you do not want to miss 1000/10.

A different way to view the rainforest. So many waterfalls, volcanic formations and majestic giants of the forest to view. The guided tour just happens to be hurling you down the Tully River while you enjoy working as a team to battle White water rapids. Special mention to Dazza our guide and our rafting team. Thank for the laughs. We had a great time. Would do it again sometime.

Had the best time and experience!

A very well run outfit that flowed with all staff being friendly as well as professional. The banter between tandem instructors and us, the punters, seemed to put everyone at ease and take their mind off the fact that they were just about to jump out of a perfectly good airplane at 15,000 ft ! Everyone on my group had a great experience and I would definitely do again. Cheers Mick for a great birthday experience 👍🏻

I would highly recommend this trip for people who loves adventure. A big shout-out to Rocky. He gave us the chance to try different activities and enjoy plenty of exciting moments, while keeping everyone safe. We would definitely come back again if we get the chance!

I took my 15 year old son, he hac been previously but I had never rafted. We had Danimal as our guide and he was fantastic, we had a great day and would do it again and recommend to anyone.

Great fun on the water! Rocky kept the vibe going from the minute we got on the bus and all the way down the river. Endlessly entertaining and his knowledge of the local ecosystem was surprising in its detail. Rocky was proactive with safety, including radioing ahead for an extra thermal layer as my friend was really feeling the cold.Highly recommended. Great fun! Bribe someone to get into Rocky’s raft. You’ll thank me later.

What an amazing experience on the Tully River! The rafting was so much fun from start to finish. The guides were highly trained, professional, and made everyone feel safe and confident while still keeping the adventure exciting.The scenery along the river was absolutely stunning, with beautiful rainforest views and crystal-clear water adding to the experience. The whole team was friendly, organised, and passionate about what they do.If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure in Far North Queensland, I highly recommend Tully River rafting. A fantastic day out and definitely a highlight of our trip!

Well organised, great fun and excellent guides with a lot of attention to safety. The meal at the end was subpar. I would have preferred they distributed snacks and got back to Cairns earlier as it's a very long day. (Of course, this is where they pitch the ($59!!) photos.) The river fee should be included in the price not collected on the bus with a surcharge. I imagine they don't want to include it as it would make the price too expensive.

Jack was our guide, he killed it! Great trip, best white water rafting trip I have ever been on! 2 hr ride was so worth it. Food and watching the slides afterward at the pub, great way to end the day!

Amazing and thrilling rafting, great amount of rapids to paddle through Erin was a great guide, made us feel safe in the raft , but made the whole river journey so much fun, this tour is the one thing I would definitely rebook

My husband and I decided to do White Water Rafting rather than a trip to the Barrier Reef as the weather was a little unsettled.We had a fantastic day with Raging Thunder Adventures. Everything was well organised and the staff were very friendly and professional.This was our 2nd time White Water Rafting, the first was in Nepal. We would highly recommend the Tully River as the water is beautiful, the rapids are so much fun and the scenery down the river is spectacular.We were blessed to have Dazza as our guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience with him, he was so knowledgeable, personable and professional.After the day’s adventures we had a meal at a country pub on the way back to Cairns.We thoroughly recommend this experience.
