Hímesudvar Wine Cellar was an absolutely fabulous experience. It is located just a few minutes' walk from the main square and the Catholic church, making it very easy to reach.The appetizers were some of the most delicious we had, and the presentation was outstanding. The variety of wines was fantastic, and every wine we tasted was excellent.What made the experience even better was our presenter, who was genuinely warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We also had the opportunity to take a short tour of the underground cellar where the wine barrels are stored, which added something very special to the visit.Wonderful wine, delicious food, beautiful presentation, and truly kind hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hímesudvar and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokaj.They all speak fluent English

The winery is beautiful and allows an opportunity to see the famous Tokaj cellar fungus! I loved the hospitality and generosity of the owners and their staff. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about wine. The wines were delicious and I am very happy to have learned a lot about Tokaj and their wines that I did not know before. Also, got a chance to pet the winery cat 😉 I highly recommend this tour and winery!

My wife and I are wine freaks. So, in the last 25 years we traveled to many of world’s prominent wine regions. Between Bordeaux and Barossa Valley, Ribera del Duero and Mendoza. And 20 times to Champagne in between it all. Loving Tokaj Aszu wines we always were thinking of visiting one day. And we were so lucky to be connected to Gergely by one of the hotels in the region. With all our background I can say that the 3-days program he organized for us was excellent and he himself is one of the most professional wine-guides we ever met. Absolute and very passionate knowledge of the region and its wine-making. He knows about everything and everyone in Tokaj and this allows him to open many doors that are not normally open.

It was an amazing and exciting experience with divine wines! We tried several wine tastings, and each one was accompanied by a snack from a local producer, such as cheese, ham, scones or fruit. The lunch was gourmet quality, with excellent wine pairings. And the cellar tour remains an unforgettable experience, as we searched through the hundreds of meters long labyrinth to find the wines to taste.

We started our tour of the Tokaj wine region with this program, it completely exceeded our expectations. We got a small taste of the Tokaj wines; we tasted several flavours, and my favourite was the dry Muscat. The jeep tour was excellent, the driver took us to the club safely but adventurously.

I had heard a lot about the world of cellars under the Tokaj wine region before, but this was the first time I could be a part of this experience! It's really impressive, and of course the wines are delicious. I especially liked the town of Mád.

The estate out of the city is fabulous. The old man loves his job but English is not perfect. Luckily our tour guide helped. Food, wines, boat trip all was ok. Everything was well organized between the locations. We reserved our dinner and stay for ourselves, we should have asked the tour operator instead.

Excellent tour and very informative tour guide. 👌 Huge well done for our tour guide Richard 👏 😊 He texted beforehand our big day to confirm the time and the place, then took us around Eger. He was very patient , showed us all the places we had to see and been told the brief historic informations. After then we been took to Egerszalòk Thermal Bath, we were able to spend there 3 hours. Which was enough for first time, soon after we were all sleepy hence sitting in the hot water for long time. I would recommend to take a good nap straight after a bath session and drink plenty- mineral water activates organs so well we all felt extreme thirst. Afterall, it was an excellent day out, can highly recommend.

Our tour guide Richard was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable of the whole trip. He even guided us to the tourist spot. Will definitely recommend this trip to my family and friends.

What a wonderful time we had. Not rushed, nice and relaxed pace. Everything was well explained in English. We very much appreciated the pick-up and return to our hotel too!

An immersion in the making of the wine of kings. For lovers of Tokaj, it is in a way the pilgrimage that must be made once in a lifetime. There were 4 of us and only 4 of us; so we had a private tour (not complete of course, but informative enough to understand the making of nectar). The tour begins with the tasting. Do not rely on the paper placed on the table indicating 6 wines; you will be entitled to the 7 deadly sins accompanied by a small snack, then a visit to the cellar (partial only, pity) but you will see the black mushrooms, the golden yellow bottles and the vaulted cellar. Then you will have the opportunity to visit the vineyard, the different varieties, the exposure to Bodrog (equivalent to Ciron or Layon in France and indirect supplier of the famous Botrytis) and the view of a Burgundy terroir. Tasting side, a Furmint first very well vinified, precise and going perfectly with a fish, then a half dry harsevelous that could well accompany asparagus, a half sweet muskate that my sons enjoyed, the cuvée Kaleidoscope medal with an excellent acid sugar balance (with which you will leave), a szamorodni just as pleasant then an aszu 6 puttonyos with grapes botrytized to the extreme while remaining digestible and a beautiful balance (medal also). Finally, the 7th sky in small quantity but it is something completely separate and rare. We only left with a few bottles because the car would not allow more, but I vowed to leave a nice comment for this wine blessed of the gods (I am French but not necessarily chauvinist when it is excellent elsewhere). Our guide answered all our questions whether technical or not, and our English though catastrophic was an opportunity to relax. Thank you for your patience. You will have understood, although the price of this tour is a little high, it deserves it by the time spent and the work necessary to produce these superb vintages. Recommend without hesitation.
