Not a single hiccup
I'm so happy we reserved this walking tour in small groups rather than attempting to explore the sites independently. Our guide treated us more like a friend than someone reading from a script, and the service was excellent from beginning to end. The meeting point location is the only thing that could be improved; at first, it was difficult to find because it was somewhat hidden close to piazza della signoria. Rest everything was perfectly fine.

Much Easier Than Organizing Everything Ourselves
A few friends and I compared several ways of getting to Florence from La Spezia, and we decided that having transportation arranged made more sense for our cruise schedule. The morning pickup went smoothly, and the vehicle was comfortable for the longer stretches between locations. We liked that the day wasn't just one long guided walk. Having free time in Florence gave us the chance to wander, shop a little, grab lunch, and meet back up without feeling like we had to stay together every second.Pisa was a fun second stop. We didn't need hours there, so the amount of free time felt appropriate for what we wanted to see.The biggest benefit for our group was knowing that the return trip was planned around the ship's departure. We could actually enjoy the day instead of constantly checking our watches. Overall, a very enjoyable day with a good mix of structure and independence.

Spectacular Florence
A good option if you want to see both Florence and Pisa during a port day. We were traveling as a group of friends and were mainly looking for something organized but not so structured that we couldn't enjoy the places ourselves. The transportation was comfortable and having pickup and drop-off close to the cruise terminal made things straightforward. Florence was the main highlight for us. We appreciated having a friendly guide there to explain the history and point out some details we probably would have missed on our own. After the guided portion, having free time was perfect because everyone in our group wanted to do slightly different things.Pisa was more of a relaxed stop. We walked around, took the obligatory Leaning Tower photos, grabbed something to eat, and enjoyed the atmosphere before heading back. The timing throughout the day seemed carefully planned, which matters a lot when you're visiting from a cruise ship. We didn't feel like we were constantly checking the clock. A full day, but surprisingly manageable.

Florence Deserved More Time, But This Worked Well
This was our first visit to Florence, so naturally we wanted to see as much as possible. We knew that trying to cover Florence and Pisa from a cruise port would mean making some compromises, but the day was planned in a way that worked for us.Florence was definitely where we spent most of our energy. We enjoyed walking around, looking at the architecture, taking photos, and stopping for lunch. The free time was one of our favorite parts because we could explore without feeling like we were being hurried from one landmark to another. The stop in Pisa was shorter but still enjoyable. Seeing the Leaning Tower in person was one of those simple travel moments that made the trip worthwhile.Transportation was comfortable, and getting picked up and dropped off near the cruise terminal made the whole day easier. We also appreciated the cancellation policy when making our plans in advance.

A Relaxed Day for Two
We usually prefer exploring independently, but with only one cruise day available in La Spezia, we decided that organized transportation would make more sense. In the end, we were happy with the choice. The pickup was convenient, and the air-conditioned transportation made the longer journeys comfortable. Florence was the main attraction for us and the guide added useful information about the city and its history. We didn't feel pressured to stay with the group every minute, which we really appreciated.Having free time in Florence gave us the chance to find a small café, walk around together, and take our time with photographs. Pisa was a nice change of pace afterward. The Leaning Tower area was busy, but we still had enough time to enjoy the stop. The cruise return schedule was handled carefully, which was one of our main concerns before booking. We also found the customer support useful for answering questions beforehand. A busy day, but it never felt unnecessarily chaotic.

Shared boat tour of the Cinque TerreZ6676JTlucyc, Aug 2026
Fantastic day out!
We were an adult family of four on a full-day tour from Porto Venere, and Andrea was the ultimate host - friendly, easy-going, and super responsive. His boat is stunning and comfortable, stocked with cold prosecco and beer flowing all day!The pristine waters and views of the Cinque Terre are breathtaking. Even my dad, a total swim-hater, couldn't resist diving in with Andrea's warm encouragement. Andrea customised the perfect mix of swimming spots and land time in Monterosso for us. 10/10 experience!

More Than Just Famous Landmarks
We booked this tour expecting to see the Leaning Tower, but Florence ended up being the highlight for our family. Walking through the historic center was fascinating, and even our teenagers appreciated the atmosphere. Pisa was exactly as beautiful as the photos suggest, although seeing it with your own eyes is something completely different. The bus was comfortable, and the instructions throughout the day were clear. Overall, it felt like a very well-planned excursion.

Family Memories in Florence and Pisa
Traveling with teenagers can sometimes be challenging when it comes to sightseeing, but this excursion managed to keep everyone engaged. The transportation was comfortable, and the guide did a good job explaining the history without making it feel like a school lesson.Florence impressed our entire family with its architecture and atmosphere. The kids enjoyed exploring the lively streets and seeing famous landmarks they had learned about before the trip.Pisa was equally enjoyable, especially for taking family photos near the Leaning Tower. The excursion offered a nice balance between guided information and free time, making it suitable for travelers of different ages.

A Day We'll Remember
Sometimes shore excursions feel rushed, but this one struck a nice balance. We enjoyed wandering through Florence together, stopping for gelato and taking in the atmosphere without constantly watching the clock. Pisa was smaller but equally enjoyable, especially standing in front of the Leaning Tower after seeing it in books for so many years. The transportation was comfortable and everything went according to plan. It became one of our favorite cruise memories.
