La Palma Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Excellent visit. 3 wines were tasted. They tweaked the tour to accommodate my disability. Great information. A fabulous visit where we saw locals delivering their grapes and then the who process in their sheds/vats. A reasonable price. The sommelier was fantastic with a good sense of humour and an ability to do his tour in Spanish and English at the same time. Thanks. We hired a taxi for the afternoon from Tazacorte - after the vineyard, we visited the volcano at San Antonia and the salt flats. It took about 6 hours to do everything.

The kids had a great time, in the splash zone of the boat, we were able to see dolphins, the cave was incredible. Very friendly staff. A 10

An excursion that I would repeat again. The boat staff, wonderful and very attentive and helpful. I recommend it 100%.

Very informative and interesting

Fast and easy online booking in the evening, with immediate confirmation of the booking the next morning. Hike on 08/18/26 in the best weather. Guide (Guia Merle) and bus (driver Gerrai) super punctual, very nice and helpful. Small bilingual group (Spanish & German) very good. Merle (Guia) told stories very well, informatively and interestingly, explained flora and fauna & answered all questions willingly and competently. She was very well prepared, for example, she had a book with pictures about the 2021 Tajogaite eruption with her. Enough breaks and stops for good photos, for drinking and for snacks. Very nice, easy hiking route approx. 3.5 hours through predominantly soft lava dust and sparse Canary Island pine forest. 700 meters of altitude downhill over a length of 6.5 km, also easy and completely unproblematic to walk for people with respiratory problems and fear of heights. Hiking poles were available free of charge if desired. An absolutely recommendable and unique opportunity to get so close (up to approx. 150m) to the volcanic cones. The bus transfer from the meeting point - Centro de Visitantes Caldera de Taburiente in El Paso - to the summit above "Cabeza de Vaca" on the Cumbre Nueva and from Las Manchas back to the meeting point in El Paso worked out great. Wonderful day - thanks for that!

Angelo was fantastic and a real pleasure! He was very knowledgeable and showed us some pretty amazing things through his telescopes and other equipment. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to La Palma!

Olaya was our guide and picked us up at our hotel. I traveled with my two teenage children and didn’t really have an agenda planned out, as I was waiting on a local to give us guidance. Olaya did just that! Her family has been on the island for generations and she shared her knowledge with us the whole day.We started with the amazing cliffs, the green lake and then onto Timanfaya and she made the experience easy and efficient. I’m so glad we were not on a big bus. Then we went to the lava caves, which were stunning, and César Manriques house. It was a long day but I truly felt we experienced Lanzarote in the best way possible.Olaya gave us one of the best travel days I’ve ever had and she is so kind and enjoyable. I can’t recommend this company and Olaya enough.

Very good! However, we used the toilet first at the winery. When we came out to wine taste the lady wanted 5 euros from each of us. We explained we were with he group but she said no 5 euros. The valcano trip was amazing.

Everything was well organized and carried out. Very nice and competent hiking guide.

La Palma is incredible for stargazing. With our guide, the experience was better since we had a good spot; he has a lot of knowledge about the stars (he even won a photography award) and is kind. He is a very attentive guide. There is a bathroom on-site.

We had a great trip with José Antonio to the Roque de los Muchachos. The car was comfortable and he drove very relaxed. Meanwhile, he told a lot of interesting stories about the island. We couldn't have asked for a better guide!

A good visit to a "lava tunnel," with the exceptional help of Mario, a guide born in La Palma, who explains things very well and provides a lot of (very interesting) information about the island. If you are claustrophobic, it is not your best option. But it is not an excursion where you have to crawl on the ground. You only have to duck a little from time to time, and be careful with the terrain so you don't fall.

I loved this excursion. It is amazing and for the price of the excursion, you also visit the other cave, the Glass one. And the museum which is also very interesting. We had a super fun guide and he conveyed the information very well. It was very hot that day, however, inside it was wonderful!!!

It was an absolutely beautiful experience. Absolutely recommended!!! You don't just learn a lot here about plane trees and bananas, but also about life. We are all interconnected Just like nature. It makes you realize again that we must treat our planet, our nature, and our environment more consciously. We humans also need to go through life again with more mindfulness and appreciation for one another and for nature.The tour was absolutely top-notch. He puts his whole life, knowledge, and heart into the plantation, and it is very important to him that we go home again with knowledge and happiness. He does it in a very funny way, so that children also have fun. The goats that looked through the holes. Were also very entertaining and provided a few laughs.The tea made with solar energy was very, very delicious.Guys, check it out. You will take something away, each in your own way, but everyone leaves with a different worldview.It was very, very nice, and we will do it again next time when we are on La Palma.Many thanks, Tanja and Tom

It is a spectacular boat trip along the west coast of La Palma. Where you can see the lava flows from the 2021 Tajogaite volcano, a cave that the boat takes you into, and Poris de la Candelaria. We were not lucky enough to see even one dolphin. They should sell it as a boat tour, so that people don't get disappointed by not seeing even one. It is understood that they are wild animals, they are usually in the area, but there are days when they are not.

A lovingly informative tour through the plantation. Small banana tasting with tea. Small groups. Anytime gladly again.
