Kutaisi Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

I decided to join this tour at the last minute. It was well organised. We left on time, the guide (Magda) was excellent, and so was the driver.

We cooked and ate the most typical Georgian dishes together. Guidance and company were wonderful. It was a unique and fulfilling experience for several reasons: first, I had the opportunity to learn more about the food I had been eating during my entire trip (and the one I ate there was even the most delicious); second, even more importantly, I spent the evening with such a welcoming family, whom I will never forget. This is among the best memories of my journey, thanks to which I left Georgia with my heart full of joy and gratitude.

We had a super tour with Davit. We really appreciated that he was local and had so much information to share, and he made it interesting. It was also very interesting to go with him to Tskaltubo, much better than had we gone on our own. Great tour!

Was in a group with 1 other person. Guides were nice, and took at a pace everyone could handle. We even at deliciuos homemade food, before going back up.Amazing experience.

My friend and me had no experience in Canyoing snd we did Sopho Canyon. Giorgi and his friend showed us a nice canyon with amazing Waterfalls. Giorgi gave goog instruktions and we felt us safe. It was a nice day and experience. We have booked a tour direktly on his internet site Kutaissi base camp and renten an Appartement for 4days. The Communication was clear. Thank you Giorgi

My tour guide George was absolutely amazing. He immediately made me feel like I was in good hands, and was really experienced and funny. A wonderful lady was also there to assist George in anything, and to take lots of photos for us! I was in a small group which was optimal, and the caving experience was completely phenomenal. We went through massive cave chambers, as well as tiny spaces, and it was one of the most fun things I've ever done. I would recommend it to anyone that is visiting Georgia (and not too claustrophobic)! 100% worth the money. Would totally do it again.

A day perfectly spent. We saw and experienced a lot. Our driver and guide, Mamuka, is very friendly and will do everything to make your trip as impressive as possible. You will hear a lot of information about Georgia and Georgians. Highest recommendations.

Had a great experience with Maxim in the West of Georgia. When one of the sites was closed of the day, he suggested an interesting alternative the night before the tour. He did a nice job balancing free time with touring and explanations, which was very welcome and let me get a chance to see some things that I might not have otherwise. He was very flexible with his time, offering to stay much longer than I had expected. Overall, a great day and a strong recommend! Batumi is a very unique city with lots to see!

this was very interesting and beautiful tour. our tour guide made it more interesting and beautiful - she provided us with lots of interesting and historical facts from the old history. we had safe and comfortable driving during our tour and came back with lots of impressions. we strongly recommend this interesting tour with great people who did there best

I recently had the pleasure of attending a traditional Georgian cooking and wine tasting masterclass in Kutaisi, and it was easily the highlight of my trip.The experience was much more than just a cooking lesson. We learned the intricate art of folding khinkali and the secrets to making the perfect, cheesy khachapuri. While we cooked, we learned about the deep history and unique traditions of Georgian viticulture.A special mention must go to Giorgi, who was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He didn't just teach us recipes; he shared fascinating insights into Georgian culture and history that you won't find in guidebooks. A real highlight was tasting the wine that Giorgi produces himself, it was absolutely delicious and added such a personal, authentic touch to the whole experience.His passion made the entire atmosphere feel welcoming and authentic.If you are in Kutaisi and want to truly "taste" and understand Sakartvelo, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. 10/10!Madloba Nana and Giorgi!

A very interesting day in the mountaineous Racha area, about 100 km from Kutaisi. There were many highlights, but among the best ones were the stunning views from Tskhrajvari mountain and the Nikortsminda Cathedral which was the most beautiful church I have ever seen. Mamuka was a friendly and safe driver and guide. I can recommend this tour especially for people who enjoy beautiful nature views but don't have enough time to go to Svaneti. It's good to know that some locations required physical effort, e.g. climbing to the top of the mountain and the way up to the Sairme Pillars – but the views were totally worth the effort.

We had such a wonderful time at the family. They were all really welcoming and so kind. We cooked different georgian dishes together and we learned step by step how to do them. At the end we ate everything we have cooked together and talked and laughed, it was such a warm and familiar atmosphere, we enjoyed it a lot and would totally recommend this experience for everyone visiting Kutaisi!
