This was an amazing day. Marek was knowledgeable about the history of Tokaj region combined with excellent wine tasting on both the Hungarian and Slovakian sides of the region, plus excellent places for food! (Always a win) and as a solo traveller some winery’s are less accomodating for 1 person to taste wine- he was able to coordinate with excellent places to taste a variety of wines - would 100% recommend

Miracle worker, and AMAZING host and tour guide!
Jan and his wife Lilian were amazing hosts and Jan literally worked miracles in finding long lost relatives of my husband's. We provided Jan with some basic documents and several old photographs, and from just that, he was able to personally track down my husband's father's ancestral village and even several distant family members we didn't know existed! Then he took us to the villages to meet them, and translated conversations for us and shared cultural customs with us so we would be prepared. It was a wonderful experience, and it would definitely not have been possible without Jan's persistence and diligence and dedication. In addition to the ancestral work, Jan was AMAZING as our personal host and tour guide all over Slovakia, so we could experience the awesome history, culture and Unesco treasures of his country. The accommodations he and Lilian provide are first rate, comfortable, and include wonderful views of the High Tatras mountains! Being from the USA, Slovakia is a virtual unknown to most Americans, but after our trip, we share our experiences with Jan and Slovakia quite often. Both he and Lilian and their family demonstrate pride and joy in Slovakian history, culture, and values, and we are so fortunate to have found him online and learned all about extended family and the country. We would HIGHLY recommend Experience Slovakia!

Beautiful day, beautiful wine.
Had a wonderful time exploring the Tokaj wine valley with Marek. He was warm, friendly, funny and knowledgeable and made me feel like I was travelling with a friend.I was taken to Mala Trna by the Hungarian border and introduced to Mateus, an irrepressible character who makes some stunning wines. After several tastings and a visit to his family’s cellar, we popped over the border to Hungary for a delicious fish soup lunch.Would totally recommend.

Had a wonderful day exploring Tokaj with Marek. He linked us up with Mateus, a complete character and wonderful wine producer who welcomed into his home (and cellar) to test countless delicious wines from the entire spectrum on offer.Nothing was too much trouble for Marek. He gave us many options - including having lunch in Hungary. He was kind, patient and funny - especially when one member of the party had too much to drink and needed a sleep!Looking forward to the next time! Thank you Marek!

Great Day out in the Tokaj wine region
Our guide Marek was amazing & provided heaps of information. It was wonderful to go to s small, family owned winery, where we tasted 11 wines which were explained thoroughly by the vineyard owner. Although the tour was a little expensive it was, overall, a very enjoyable day out.

  • The lowest price guarantee covers retail and prepaid rates available to the general public.   • Cool Destinations promotions cannot be combined with the lowest price guarantee.
  • If you find a lower retail or prepaid rate for the same tour, offered on the same date, time and priced in the same currency as your original purchase, on any other website between the time you book on Cool Destinations and 48 hours before your trip starts, we will refund the difference.
  • The lowest price guarantee does not apply where a lower overall price is found by breaking down the purchased tour into one or more parts sold separately.
  • Cool Destinations reserves the right to verify the lower price details. Examples of acceptable forms of verification include a web screenshot or a web address.
  • All refund decisions will be made at the sole discretion of Cool Destinations.

Cool Rewards

  • Cool Rewards is a loyalty program operated by Cool Destinations. Rewards may be earned by any eligible person holding a Cool Destinations account, subject to the Cool Destinations customer Terms of Use.

Earning rewards

  • Rewards can be earned by making bookings on the Cool Destinations website. You will be able to see the value of the rewards you can earn during the booking process.
  • Earned rewards will be issued in a pending state and will move to a confirmed state 24 hours after the start time of the experience.
  • Earned rewards will be available to redeem once they are no longer in a pending state.
  • For bookings that are moved to a different travel date, the rewards will be redeemable after the amended travel date.
  • If a booking where rewards were issued is canceled, the earned rewards will not be redeemable and will be moved to a canceled state.

Redeeming rewards

  • To redeem rewards, you must be logged into your Cool Destinations account.
  • Any available rewards will be automatically applied the next time you make a booking, and their value will be deducted from your order at checkout, unless you choose not to apply them, which requires you to indicate this via the toggle switch. Bookings made using rewards are subject to the standard Cool Destinations Customer Terms of Use.
  • You will not be able to redeem only a portion of your available rewards at checkout. It is only possible to redeem all or none of your available rewards.
  • There is no minimum order value required to redeem your rewards. This means that you can pay for 100% of your order with rewards.
  • Rewards are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • If rewards are redeemed against a booking that is canceled or refunded, the rewards will be reissued to your account.

Miscellaneous

  • You can check your Cool Destinations account to see the rewards you have collected at any time. You are responsible for ensuring that your rewards balance is correct.
  • We reserve the right to modify these Cool Rewards Terms and Conditions at any time, with or without notice, including the rules for earning and redeeming rewards. Any changes will be reflected in the updated Terms and Conditions.
  • We reserve the right to terminate the Cool Rewards program and cease issuing any further rewards on future bookings. All pending and available rewards balances will be honored.
  • By earning and redeeming rewards, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as any subsequent changes made to them.
