Wonderful experience
We booked this trip the day before and it went very smoothly. We were kept updated about the pickup which arrived on time, we had a friendly guide too. We were mixed with the full day tour and once we had done the rafting, turtles and waterfall we separated and were brought back to our hotel in a car. I cant fault the company at all, they were brilliant. All of the elements we really enjoyed.

Wonderful!
It was an all-around successful and very beautiful excursion, not too long and not too short. The guides were super sweet and my kids also had a lot of fun.

Great course with Apple
We had a great course with Apple. Above all, the visit to the local market was very impressive and educational. Apple is a great powerhouse of a woman. You feel like you are in a small jungle. Apple showed us how simple and quick Asian dishes are to cook. Looking forward to cooking it ourselves

Cooking in a dream location
Hello,We met Apple on August 5, 2026, for a cooking class that was out of time and outside our usual routine. Apple has this ability to make you feel like you are part of her family.
It started with a trip to the market to acquire the necessary products for our lunch meals. The market, in itself, is worth the trip, and Apple makes you smell all the herbs and spices, shows you which fish to buy, and how to choose it. Yes! For us, it was the fish that we chose.
Next, head to Apple's kitchen, which you are going to discover. Already the setting in the jungle is incredible, and for the rest, you have to go there.
No hesitation, none at all. Go there with your eyes wide open and enjoy.
Apple is an angel who knows how to cook.

An absolutely wonderful excursion in every way. Amazing staff, lovely boat, good food, wonderful stops and crazy good overall experience. Second time we go on this tour, me and my 8 year old daughter. She loves jumping into the sea and swimming directly for the boat, the food, always finds new friends on the boat and the staff who are so wonderful with the children. Definitely 10 out of 10 in the rating scale. The first time we took this tour was Nov 2023 and then we were so happy so this was a must now when we were back in Thailand. 😍

Amazing family friendly half day tour! Highly recommend!
Great half day tour! Charly and Mr O picked us up from the hotel and we're very friendly and informative the entire tour. Luckily we were part of a small group as we visited in the rainy season (despite having no rain at all).
Got to see snakes while bamboo rafting and tried some local fruits. We were also lucky enough to get the chance to feed the turtle at the conservation centre.
Waterfalls were also great to swim in.
Charly was a great guide and she took some amazing photos we get to treasure 😊

A unique experience
Apple is what you could call a master culinary guide. Her kindness is matched only by her professionalism. If you are wondering where to find Thai cooking classes, there is only one address: Apple at Riverside Thai Cooking. Between the market visit with the chef and then heading to the jungle for an open kitchen in a magnificent garden, the class turns into a unique moment. The magic happens and our dishes take shape before being tasted.
Only one regret: it goes by too fast.

A great little morning tour to entertain the kids.
A great little tour to fill the morning with kids in mind.Pickup was seamless from our Khao Lak hotel. A small bus was the transport for the morning and there was only 7 of us in total. Itinerary was as published with our guide Marta explaining the stops and time durations.First up was the rafting, which was on a relatively clean and peaceful stream with experienced rafting guides. We saw many snakes and even a water monitor lizard. Afterward we were invited for a fruit snack and drinks as Marta explained the local fruits and their names. If you don’t have your bathers - that’s ok, we didn’t get wet at all and ponchos were offered if it rained.Next stop was the turtle rehabilitation centre located at the Khao Lak Naval Base. It was interesting seeing the turtles swimming and their behaviour. The pools didn’t look particularly great but the turtles looked very healthy and active. There is also a Navy memorial to the Tsunami victims at the same area.Lastly we were taken to Ton Pling water fall for a swim and some relaxation before heading back to the hotel for lunch.Thanks to Marta and Woody for a pleasant morning hosting our family at these popular sites.

Throughly enjoyable cooking class, highly recommend
We had a great time cooking with Apple, it was good to be able to choose what we wanted to cook, and we all loved our meals. Apple is a wonderful Chef and is very patient, very well organised and has a great kitchen, specially designed by her for her classes. Apple picked us up from our hotel and we spent time at her local market, where she brought some the ingredients, it was also cool to see some Apples on sale from our own country! Would highly recommend this cooking class, lots of fun and a great taste of Thailand.

Bamboo rafting and turtle conservation trip
Really enjoyable day we had a lot of fun, great for all ages (10 months and 1.5yrs)
Loved the bamboo rafting, got to try some unusual very tasty fruits and was extremely picturesque.
We saw some turtles too and went to a waterfall which we could swim in.
Tour guide charly was outstanding, she went above and beyond to ensure we all had a great day. Highly recommended.

Perfection!!
We had a fabulous time on this tour! Everything was excellent, from peaceful Bamboo rafting, to the Sea Turtles to the waterfall which was flowing and allowed us to indulge in a refreshing dip! Charlie our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and energetic. We LOVED this adventure and would not hesitate to recommend.

An Unforgettable Experience — Apple Is a Phenomenal Teacher!
My wife and I had an absolutely incredible time at Riverside Thai Cooking Class with Apple, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded our already-high expectations.The adventure started by Apple picking us up at our hotel and driving to the local market, where Apple walked us through the stalls to buy ingredients for the dishes we selected to cook. But she didn't just grab items and go — she went above and beyond, taking the time to show us different ingredients up close, letting us smell them, explaining their Thai names, and even telling us which ones we could find back home so we could recreate the dishes later. That market tour alone was worth the visit.From there, Apple brought us to her home, where she showed us the fresh herbs and ingredients growing right in her own garden. Her outdoor kitchen is absolutely stunning — set in a gorgeous location that made the whole experience feel special. It's the kind of setting you couldn't design any better.Apple has a gift for teaching. She made every step of the lesson fun, engaging, and easy to follow, no matter your skill level. Her passion for Thai cooking is contagious, and you can tell she genuinely loves sharing it with others.And the best part? We got to sit down and eat everything we made — and it was delicious. There's something so satisfying about enjoying a meal you've prepared yourself, especially when it tastes that good.If you're in Khao Lak, do yourself a favor and book this class. Apple's warmth, knowledge, and attention to detail make Riverside Thai Cooking Class a highlight you won't forget. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Good experience
Very good organised trip, Marta our guide was very informative and pleasant. Water rafting was good and an experience whilst here in Thailand. Take a towel and change of clothing as we did get a little wet. It was a nice half day trip for us which also included the turtle sanctuary and the waterfall was dry at this time of year but she took us to a temple instead. Glad we did it.
