Welcome to Islamorada

Islamorada is a village of six islands in the upper Florida Keys about 90 minutes south of Miami by car. Incorporated in 1997 around the central community of Islamorada on Upper Matecumbe Key, the village is known as the Sportfishing Capital of the World and offers great saltwater gamefishing along with many other attractions. Offshore adventures include cruising aboard a luxury sailing yacht or riding a Yamaha Wave Runner to explore the scenic coastline, the world-famous Islamorada Sand Bar, and the mangrove island tunnels. SCUBA diving is popular, and it is possible to learn how to hunt for sunken treasure from 18th-century Spanish Galleons and join a dive expedition to actual shipwrecks.
