Indiana is a Midwestern state with a short stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline and the east Chicago suburbs in its northwestern corner. It became the 19th U.S. state in 1816, with many German and other European immigrants arriving to settle in the early 19th century. Indianapolis, the state capital and largest city, is home to historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, site of the annual Indianapolis 500 auto race since 1911. The city is known for excellent museums, its art scene, and wonderful food, but the state also has many classic American small towns and one of the country’s largest Amish communities. The Indiana outdoors features parks, canyons, caves, waterfalls, and more than 20 pristine lakes.

Rob was a great tour guide. He has done a lot of work to research the sites around downtown Indianapolis. He has a lot of great stories to share. We have lived here in this city for 23 years and have had our fair share of tours and studied the history of the city and state. But we still learned a lot!!

Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana is a multi event venue. It is the home of the Indiana Pacers NBA professional basketball team, they hold College basketball games and High School tournament games there as well as music concerts. It is a very beautiful venue inside and outside. The acoustics for The Eagles and Steve Miller Band concert were perfect. Even Don Henley of The Eagles commented about it while performing that night October 9, 2023.

Using skip the line saved us $18. We would have paid $75; instead, we paid $57. The museum was excellent and well worth the price of admission. The vintage RVs were fascinating, and visitors are able to go into about half of them. The section of the museum dedicated to manufactured housing is a can't miss. It provides a comprehensive look at the evolution of design of mobile homes.

We had Dani as our guide. She was amazing! She knew her history well and she was very fun. My husband and I were glad we got to see lots of parts of the city and restaurants because we don’t live in the area. The food was a great variety and I loved the differing styles of food and atmosphere each restaurant brought. Definitely recommend!
