Excellent Tour of Grand Bahama’s East Side with Hida
The East End Tour with Hida was fantastic. Hida stopped many times, from Freeport to the East End, to show/explain various sites. The terrain changes as you drive further east. You do see the effect the natural disasters have had on pockets of wooded area. The stop at the pristine beach for a swim in the Atlantic was so refreshing. 👍👍If you are looking for a coastal tour of Grand Bahama, I recommend Hida’s East Side Tour!

Five-Star Birthday Tour with Hida
My birthday weekend on Grand Bahama was memorable and thoroughly delightful solely due to Hida! She provided a five-star tour!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hida is an excellent tour guide. She knows every fact about Grand Bahama! She is an extremely personable person. The tour totally revolved around me. I asked Hida if I could go to mass, on Sunday, as a start to the tour. That certainly was not an issue! The conch fritter and conch salad demos were informative, fun, and delicious! (I also had conch chowder another day. 👍👍) I also enjoyed our visit to The Bahamian Brewery. The tour to the east of the island was peaceful. We had plenty of time to swim in the pristine (not cold!) Atlantic water.Enjoy Grand Bahama to the fullest by booking a tour (or two) with Hida!💙🇧🇸💛🇧🇸🖤

Paradise Cove Day Pass with Pickup from FreeportXperiance188, Aug 2026
Amazing place to visit in Freeport Bahamas
If you're visiting Grand Bahama, I highly recommend spending a few hours at Deadman’s Reef at Paradise Cove. We stayed at Viva Fortuna by Wyndham and took a taxi to the reef. We called Mr. Anthony Morrison at 242-646-5774, who provided our taxi service. One of the best ways to keep the cost reasonable is to bring your own mask, snorkel and fins. Paradise Cove allows guests to bring their own equipment and currently offers a discount for doing so.My wife and I spent about 5 hours there, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Taking a taxi instead of joining a tour meant we weren't rushed and could stay as long as we wanted. We snorkeled twice, with lunch in between, and had plenty of time to relax. The snorkeling was fantastic. We saw four sea turtles, including a baby turtle, puffer fish, octopuses, and lots of other marine life. The reef is accessible from the beach and is known for its abundance of tropical fish and sea turtles. There is also a restaurant/bar on site, so you can grab lunch and drinks between swims. The Red Bar serves food, beer and tropical drinks. Our biggest money-saving tip: skip the expensive tour if you don't need transportation and equipment included. Take a taxi, bring your own snorkeling gear, and pay for admission only. It was a very cost-effective way for us to enjoy Deadman’s Reef while spending most of the day there. If you like snorkeling and seeing marine life, Deadman’s Reef is well worth the trip! A great day!!
Thank you Mikey for a wonderful experience!!! This was a great tour. Mikey knows everything there is to know about the island and was very helpful in taking pictures, helping us snorkel and finding the sea life for us to interact with. We had a group of all ages and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Make this excursion a part of your vacation

Great time at Paradise Cove
The bus with Paradise Cove on the side was easy to spot. Nelson picked us up right on time and pointed out things of interest and gave a little history on the way there. The beach was small but not crowded. Very comfortable beach lounges. We got our snorkel equipment while they set the lounges up for us. We had a great time snorkeling, a little swim out is a beautiful reef, full of big fish and little colorful fish. Closer to the shore was some fish, but we also saw turtles feeding on the grass. Other snorkelers said they saw an octopus and a stingray, but we missed those. On shore we bought lunch, hamburgers and fries, that were good. It also had an outside shower to rinse off, changing rooms and the bathroom. All the staff was friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Freeport again we would come back.

Amazing guide and experience
Hida is the most wonderful guide! She took us snorkeling and all over the weather end and Lucas’s. She is knowledgeable, kind and makes the entire experience wonderful :) We would book with her again in a heartbeat, it is absolutely worth the money!!

Fantastic location and service. Transportation confusing
Beach , food, drinks all outstanding. Only issue we had was locating transportation at port. No signage.

Amazing experience!
Our driver to the spot was so kind and was great!! The boat captain was so kind as well. Snorkeling was beautiful, we saw so many different fish and massive starfish! We saw two nurse sharks and huge manta rays. On our way to the turtle spot, we passed a huge mango tree and he and the other locals were so kind enough to let us harvest from this mango tree! We saw a few turtles and our boat ride back was amazing too. There was just a group of 4 of us, so it was super personal and off the beaten path to truly see the wildlife we wanted to see. What a great experience!!

Swim with Pigs on a Tropical IslandD8266QXlaurar, May 2026
All pigged out
My family and I had an amazing experience swimming with the pigs! They had every kind imaginable — big pigs, medium pigs, little pigs, baby pigs, black pigs, brown pigs, pink pigs, and even spotted pigs. You get to feed them apples while in the water, play with them along the shore, spend time with them near their pens, and even hold the baby pigs.
They give you plenty of time to take pictures and videos, so you never feel rushed. The guides were fantastic — friendly, informative, and made the entire experience fun and comfortable. Their sense of humor definitely added to the experience too!
One small tip: unless you have very tough feet, I’d highly recommend wearing swim shoes. The rocks in the shallow water feel like walking on Legos.
The excursion is also connected to Cleveland's Beach Club, a beachfront bar and restaurant where you can relax afterward with drinks and delicious Bahamian cuisine. Overall, it was a memorable experience for the whole family, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Bahamas.

Wonderful Day in Freeport!
Two of us booked the small group tour which had a limit of 10 people. When we got off the ship, Charlie was waiting right outside the cruise port gate. We were the only booking so ended up with a private tour! Charlie was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We visited Lucaya National Park, the caves, the pristine fine sand beaches, the Conch graveyard, a wonderful spot for lunch where we enjoyed fresh conch fritters, conch chowder, mahi sandwiches and ice cold beers. We ended at a small market where I was able to locate a conch shell on silver to hang on my necklace. A wonderful day. Highly recommend!
