Frederick Travel Guides (Updated October 2026)

Learn how the map feature works before you start. My wife and I synced our AirPods and the app did the rest. Harpers Ferry is very hilly so take your time. The app sends you to all the cool places. I recommended it to people I met in Harpers Ferry the next day. Great way to see it all.

Very good experience our guide Alpert was very knowledgeable about the area and things to do. He helped us find good places to eat and made the journey enjoyable.

The tour was incredibly informative and enjoyable. The app was spot on with our location as we toured Harper Ferry. This was our first time in doing something like this and we can't wait to do it again in the near future.

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Don Burgerss Walking Tour! From start to finish, the tour was engaging, informative, and a lot of fun. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job bringing the history and character of the area to life. The pace was perfect, with plenty of interesting stories, great sights, and opportunities to take in the surroundings. It felt personal and relaxed rather than like a typical rushed tour. I especially appreciated the guide’s enthusiasm and attention to detail.I would highly recommend Don Burgess Walking Tour to anyone looking for a memorable way to explore the area. It was one of the highlights of my trip, and I would happily do it again!

Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Mr. Burgess went out of his way to ensure I was comfortable and made sure that we enjoyed ourselves as we learned some interesting facts about the historic landmarks in the area. Very much appreciated!

The tour hit all the attractions listed on the expected itinerary. Great local guide. The driver was very good, friendly and accommodating.

Having taken a number of tours in various parts of the country and Europe, our tour with Elite Excursions ranks at the top of our list. We were fortunate to have Kim, the owner of Elite as our tour guide but given the way she approaches her business, we suspect all of her drivers are great guides. Kim is very knowledgeable about the area and its history and being that this is her home, she has personal knowledge of many of the houses and businesses in the towns we visited. We came away with a true appreciation for the area and the good fortune of having made a new friend.

We had an exceptional experience at iFLY thanks to our instructor, Ethan.I am an experienced flyer and brought my two grandsons, ages 10 and 12, so they could continue learning indoor skydiving. This was only their second time flying, and Ethan’s talent as an instructor was immediately apparent. We purchased five minutes of block time for each boy, divided into three sessions. By the end of their flights, Ethan had both boys maintaining a stable belly-neutral position and performing controlled turns. Their progress in such a short amount of time was remarkable.Ethan was patient, encouraging, professional, and extremely safety-conscious. He explained each technique in a way the boys could easily understand and adjusted his coaching to fit their individual needs. It was amazing to watch his instruction click with them and see their confidence and skills improve during every session. We were thoroughly impressed and plan to continue their training with Ethan. He is a gifted instructor and a tremendous asset to iFLY. I highly recommend requesting him, especially for younger or newer flyers.

It's worth of your money, favorite part of this trip is we went hiking near water falls, we have a lot of fun together with my group tour,I went solo and meet other's in our trip that we became close. Our driver Galen Ren is Accommodating and give us a lot of information during our trip and big thanks to him.I had fun over all from boat ride to night waterfall show and every little things he showed us and some information.

Mike was a wonderful guide on our trip through Harper’s Ferry. He was a wealth of knowledge and made the history of this area during the Civil War period come to life.

The history of Harper's Ferry was brought to life by our guide Mike! He was extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of this historic town, including John Brown, the Civil War, race relations and local industry. For two and a half hours he kept us fully engaged. The time was well spent.

It was the perfect way to learn the history of Harper’s Ferry, Charles Town and Shepherdstown. Kim was informative and friendly.

The tour is well worth the price. It was well paced, with thoughtfully chosen stops that made the most of participants’ time. Johnny was an excellent tour guide, highly engaging and generous in sharing his knowledge of Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, DC. He switched seamlessly between English and Chinese and was consistently attentive to the needs of the group. He ensured everyone was comfortable during the entire trip and kept the tour on schedule, allowing us to move smoothly through the itinerary. Keiko also did a wonderful job guiding us through New York on our walking tour while sharing information on sites along the way in both English and Chinese.

Amazingly knowledgeable guide and incredible service. Thank you very much Ana and Brad for an incredible tour.

It was a great experience. Galen was great and went above and beyond. We really had a great time and he was making sure we were okay throughout the trip.

Wayne was awesome! He was knowledgeable, fun and made us feel safe! The joy of flying is something that you have to experience for yourself. No words can truly explain the feeling you get!! Very cool!!
