Walking tour of Durban with Johnny
Johnny was a fantastic host for the walking tour. His knowledge was outstanding and he knew that I wanted to experience a part of Durban that tourists would normally not go to. Johnny was well known to many of the stall holders in the markets and put me at ease, especially with the taxi rides. The taste experiences we had were wonderful.

My driver and guide, Bule, was fantastic! He was punctual, friendly, and a pleasure to spend the day with. He gave me a comprehensive and informative tour of Lesotho and Sani Pass, sharing lots of interesting information along the way. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend him!

Brilliant tour
Johnny was an absolutely brilliant guide. Saw a very different side of Durban, which was exactly what I wanted. He explained everything very well and is such a knowledgeable person. I learned so much and was thrilled with the tour.

Ideal Mix of Safari and Culture
This was a great experience, especially if you want to see a mix of animals and culture and only have limited time. Also the guide Fortune was knowledgeable and funny at the same time.

Great experience
This tour was really good to go.
The view and the guide were so amazing.
Buy something you like at the supermarket and have lunch in a place with beautiful views of Lesotho. Great.
I didn't like the feeling that ethnic villages were forced to shop or tip.
Other than that, it was very good.
I'd love to recommend it to everyone.

Lasting experience
Lasting experience to Islandwana, Rorkes Drift and Fugitives Drift. Despite only booking one day before, efficient collection and SUV with guide was on time. 13 hour round trip but once there it was deep experience. Nothing was too much trouble for my guide and driver Bule and we spoke much about the Zulu culture on the trip. Important to go to all 3 sites including Fugitives Lodge. Played an audio guide on the way there which was super good.

Safari & PheZulu Tour with Guide Bule
Bule was our tour guide for the day! He did amazing job. He provided detailed education and information since he himself is Zulu. We had so many questions that another guide wouldn't have been able to answer. He was such a gem and a pleasure. The tour experience was made better because of his insight and willingness to share.On the safari he took his time with us and made sure we saw every animal. We even got to see a hippo which most people never get to see. But Bule made sure to drive around and educate us on the different animals and their habits. It was the best possible way to do a safari. My concerns around safaris are whether they are safe but we felt safe the entire time.The photos we were able to get are priceless. We couldn't have asked for a better guide on the tour.

Phezulu cultural experience
A wonderful exposure to Zulu village life, excellent performers who explained the encounter.
Our driver Bule was very knowledgeable and provided a professional service and discussion flowed freely.
Admission fees were included in the booking fee.
The 4 hour tour flew by very quickly but experience everything that was listed in the itinerary.
The visit to the reptile park adjacent to the cultural centre was amazing and the guide explained the different areas of the park, an encounter well worth experiencing.Our Driver and guide Bule is a wonderful and great ambassador for 1st Zulu safaris and Durban.

Very well worth it
The Tour was excellent and Fortune our guide was most informative and helpful and made it a memorable occasion.
The vehicle was comfortable and we arrived at each venue according to schedule.
The places we visited were all very interesting and the scenery spectacular.There are a wide range of tours available, online booking was easy and price’s reasonable.I would recommend the company , you would really enjoy this tour.

A great time exploring a profound culture
The entire tour was great. Bule was very friendly, amenable, patient and flexible. he shared a lot about Durban and the places we were visiting. Visiting the Zulu village was a fascinating experience, the reptile park was very cool and the city tour was also very interesting. Would definitely recommend if you want an authentic taste of Durban!

Fantastic tour with a fantastic guide
Thami, our guide was absolutely fantastic as was the safari. There were so many animals because Thami was so great at spotting them. The wetlands were just OK if I had it to do over again I would skip St. Lucia and have spent more time in the national park. Hulu safari and Thami did a great job, communicating all of the details, including sending an image of our guide drivers license and license plate before the tour.

Durban Exploration with Johnny
Johnny was a fantastic hosts who was flexible in accommodating me as a solo guest. In general, tours are cancelled if there aren’t 2 or more guests. So from the start, I was already appreciative.He was very knowledgeable about the city, with in-depth information and a great city route that provided a true glimpse into the unique and diverse attributes that make up Durban.A couple of the many highlights of the tour:
* Cow head (cheeks). With the bread and the broth, dip sauces etc. oh man that was fire.
*Walking through the local markets and getting a real inside look amongst the people
*The look exclusive look-out spot that was actually closed but Johnny had access to! Got some great footage
*I always appreciate a guide who can take some good photos/videos lol (no shame)
*The myriad of informative fun-facts along the way
*Johnny a very cool individual as well! (Makes a huge difference when your guide is a vibe)Would highly to anyone visiting Durban.
